Emperor's Domination - Chapter 6805: Run

Chapter 6805: Run
“The ancestors must believe Tinyleaf will be safe and do not want to leave.” The city lord had a pale expression: “But Frenzy will return to finish the job.”
He didn’t wish to rely on luck because the attack wouldn’t stop just like that. They couldn’t stand a chance against the next wave of monsters. This was a fight between a behemoth and an ant.
He naturally wanted to bring their ancestral shrine with them to the next place. Unfortunately, it didn’t seem to be up to him.
“Just bring it.” Li Qiye smiled and picked it up effortlessly.
“What…” He was at a loss for words.
“Is there a problem?” Li Qiye smiled.
“H-how did you do it? How are you carrying it?” He couldn’t pick it up despite using all of his strength.
“With my hands, obviously.” Li Qiye joked.
“That’s impossible.” He repeated but his eyes told him otherwise.
Li Qiye lifted it up and down again.
“You… you must be the chosen one…” He thought about a legend from long ago.
“Chosen one?” Li Qiye smiled.
“Our ancestors prophesied that one day, the chosen one would return. The shrine will follow him as proof.” He gained confidence in this belief, and his voice rose.
He finally took a closer look at Li Qiye. Since he was in a hurry earlier, he never took the time to do so. However, he found that Li Qiye was a mortal.
There had been no sign of a chosen one for eras now. Thus, he didn’t remember it at all. Now, a mortal picked the shrine up so easily. Could he be the one?
“Whoever the shrine follows will bring hope to Golden Lamp once more.” He said.
“Chosen one, I see.” Li Qiye didn’t know whether to laugh or cry: “I suppose this thing does need to come with me.”
“That’s the best proof.” He said.
Li Qiye glanced at the shrine and knew what it was right away.
“We, we need to go to Thunder Kingdom first. We’ll return once everything calms down.” He grabbed Li Qiye’s arm.
Li Qiye smiled and followed the flow. When they were back on the ship, the evacuation had finished.
“The shrine is with us, we will outlast this disaster!” He raised the shrine in the air for an announcement.
“The shrine…” Cultivators and mortals kneeled at the symbol of hope.
Those who initially hesitated agreed to board the ship upon seeing it.
“To Thunder!” The city lord personally controlled the ship.
Along the way, an expert whispered: “City Lord, will Thunder take us in?”
“Yes, Thunder Emperor is a principled lady, she will fight the darkness to the end.” He nodded firmly.
“City Lord, I believe Blaze Sect is behind Thunder. Would they override her decision?” Another asked.
“They will. Either way, Immortal Bear Mountain is near there, that’s our target.” He agreed with the logic but held onto hope.
“If Frenzy pursues, I don’t think Thunder is strong enough to protect us.” A third said.
“Would they bother to do so for us?” One cultivator said.
“Yes, the overlord won’t care about us.” One more said.
“I agree, we just need to hurry to Thunder.” He nodded.
“As long as we’re near Immortal Bear’s territory, Primal Eagle won’t dare to come.” Someone said.
Others exchanged glances before staring at the city lord.
“That should be right.” He said without confidence.
“Primal Eagle lost to Immortal Bear again, but the great immortal showed mercy since they were both demons. What a shame, should have ended the seed of discord then and there.” One expert said.
“Watch your words, we must not comment on the immortals.” He chastised.
The others immediately kept their mouth shut. After all, both entities were supreme, especially the bear – a grand immortal that has been protecting this region all this time.
“Bear Immortal?” Li Qiye smiled.
“An immortal in our region.” An expert said.
“He didn’t come from Golden Lamp.” One cultivator said.
“Nonetheless, he is one of us. We have nothing but appreciation for his protection.” The city lord said respectfully.
“Life became far easier for us.” The others nodded.
