As one of the nine major worlds, Golden Mortal World naturally had countless minor worlds.
“Only Golden Lamp Everlasting Ground is left.” She murmured.
“They devoured other worlds outside of Stygian as well.” Li Qiye said.
The true number couldn’t be calculated since many worlds and epochs were devoured in secrecy. No victim was left to tell the tale.
“Of course, they weren’t the first to do it.” Li Qiye added.
“What is the purpose? To become immortal or grow even stronger?” She asked.
“The main reason to devour is to live longer.” Li Qiye said: “That’s why there shouldn’t be immortals anywhere.”
“But they are here.” She said softly.
“Only fake ones, no true immortals.” He smiled.
“Yes.” The bear scratched his head.
“As you can see, just a group of fake immortals is enough to bully the nine main worlds and three thousand minor worlds. If a few true immortals appear, will Heavenrealm still be around?” Li Qiye asked.
She shuddered upon thinking about the possibilities. Normally, minor worlds desired to have immortals. These beings were supreme and considered auspicious – a symbol of hope. Reality worked differently. Immortals weren’t always guardians.
Perhaps Heavenrealm as a whole also wanted a true immortal. Would this be a blessing or a disaster?
“Then cultivation shouldn’t be practiced at all.” She thought about a higher-level problem.
“Is that up to someone to decide and enforce? Essences and fortunes belong to all beings. They will grow curious eventually. When one forbids cultivation, one must remove essences from the world. At that point, it’s not much different from devouring it.” Li Qiye said.
She had no response right away.
“Then what should happen instead?” She asked.
“It’s a difficult question. If you can come up with a solution and enforce it, you’ll be the same as the high heaven.” Li Qiye said.
“The high heaven.” She trembled.
“How do we proceed here?” The bear focused on the matter at hand first.
“Stop.” Li Qiye stopped the rotation and pulled the pyramid closer.
“Xian Shen.” He shouted at the death section, causing ripples to appear on the calm surface.
“Buzz.” It looked as if a face was emerging from a thick liquid. Its features were indistinct, evoking a deep sense of fear.
