As it collapsed, the staff of authority was exposed. Guangmai grabbed it immediately.
“The alliance can’t survive without a leader. Your Highness, please lead us against our adversaries.” Immortal Devourer and Fire Immortal said.
The others did the same, playing along with the flow. No one else was a better candidate than Guangmai. The other primordial immortal, Skyshroud, has been missing just like Immortal Emperor Gu Chun.
Moreover, his background couldn’t be better, being Mang’s direct disciple. Plus, he was the one holding the staff. The others didn’t actually have another option.
“Your Highness, please take the throne and lead us.” The crowd said, including the members of Dark Realm.
“Rumble!” Waves emanated from the ocean as everyone channeled their dark power into the staff.
A maelstrom appeared amidst the ocean and caused Stygian to follow its rotation. The maelstrom then slowly moved toward Guangmai before coiling around him.
All corners of Stygian could look up and see a dark dragon hovering around him, intimidating them into submission.
Fallen cultivators willingly accepted his supremacy henceforth. This was the temptation of possessing “authority”. It was a considerable gain in fighting power, not just a symbol.
The process of power transfer was completed. Now, the alliance had a new leader.
