Endless Horde: Through the Eyes of a Godking - Chapter 894: Teasing

Chapter 894: Teasing
—
Reina’s refusal to use her old body wasn’t just because it has been corrupted beyond saving by the Bug Empress.
You see, Reina remained vaguely aware of what’s happening after her presumed death. The weak tether she maintained to hold on to the origin of her soul, where the last hits of her sense of self and consciousness were, didn’t only drain just enough energy to keep her alive; it also brought her feedback.
Tiny bits and pieces of what the Bug Empress was using her body for. Although incomplete, Reina had a general idea of the grief that spider whore caused using her body.
She saw how the bug empress used her face, her body, and her voice to guilt her husband and her friends from raising their hand against her. She had killed so many humans while wearing her corpse. She had twisted her body in ways that made Reina sick to her stomach.
And this was not counting the sheer amount of sorrow, guilt, and defeat Nick felt whenever he looked at her corpse being worn by their worst enemy.
She knows that Nick blamed himself entirely for this, and she had seen snippets of how grim and solemn Nick had become over time. He turned into a completely different person.
He matured a lot, yes. But that growth cost so much pain and suffering for him.
This is why Reina refused to use her old body. To her, it’s not hers anymore. It had been stolen, corrupted, and perverted into something she could never be proud of.
She’d rather live the rest of her life as a disembodied soul if her only other option was to return to her old body.
Nick, hearing this, just smiled. He, of course, knows that when his wife made a decision like this, there’s very rarely any chance that someone or something would change her mind.
As cheesy as it sounded, he missed this side of her too. Everything about her really.
And who was he to deny her wishes? Of course he understood her reason for not wanting her old body back. In fact, he would’ve suggested it himself if she didn’t bring it up. But he wanted her to be the one making that decision, and he was glad that she did.
“I understand, love. I really do.” He held her hand and spoke to her with the gentlest voice he could ever muster.
“I can make you a new body rather easily. If you have any requests, just say the word. I’ll make it happen.”
“You have an adult body right away, or you can start your life all over again. Whatever your choice is, I’ll make it happen for you. Just choose and leave the rest to me.”
’Even if the Supreme Will itself disagrees with your choice, I’ll rip it apart for standing in your way.’ Nick couldn’t bring himself to say this out loud, but this was a promise, not a threat.
Nobody will stand in the way of Reina’s resurrection. Nobody.
Whether Reina caught the heated and grim determination on Nick’s thoughts or not, nobody could say. But it did bring her a lot of comfort.
“Thank you, love.” Reina smiled at him. And he nearly melted at her touch, as illusory and light it was. “I still can’t believe that my husband had truly become the strongest man alive. Oh, I’m so proud of you.”
Nick preened at her praise. Nobody could illicit this kind of reaction from him. The validation just hits different when it comes from her. It did more than just inflate his ego; it made him feel unstoppable.
“Damn it, woman! Just hurry up and make your choice. I want to hold you and bed you badly already!”
Reina laughed crisply at the heat in Nick’s words. She could almost see his nose flaring and letting out steam out of impatience.
“Shut up, you cranky old man. I do not believe for a second that you didn’t go out and have some fun while I was out of the picture!” Reina scolded him, but it wasn’t really all that serious.
She couldn’t blame him. He didn’t know after all. It was her who failed to inform him that she devised a way to survive after her supposed ’death’ after all.
To be fair, she wasn’t expecting it to work either. She only ever told him about her plans and methods that had been proven and tested.
And since Nick was technically single back then, she really couldn’t blame him if he decided to let out some steam while she was away. She’s not stupid.
A brief flash of remorse appeared on Nick’s face after hearing this. But instead of denying it, he came clean.
“Yeah, but they’re not you. They can never be you,” he softly said. “You know me best.”
Nick was guilty of her accusations, that’s for sure. Denying those would just sour up this reunion. Reina was smarter and more logical than most. She also understood his plight. He also knew that she said that without any blame or prejudice. She’s just pointing it out.
“Yeah, I do,” Reina replied proudly. “And believe me, once I’m up and well, we’re not leaving the bed until we’re both completely satisfied.”
Nick’s heart sped up. A flash of impatience appeared in his eyes. The only thing holding him back right now was her currently vulnerable state.
“So, make your choice already, please. I’m running out of patience!” Nick complained.
“Alright, alright,” she laughed at his plight again. “Make me a new body. I want to start from the very beginning.”
“As for my appearance, well…I’ll leave it up to you. Go nuts, I suppose. I’ll use whatever you can come up with no matter how insane and unrealistic it is.”
“Love…”
“What?” Reina grinned slyly at him. “This is a once-in-a-lifetime chance for you! Who could say that they’d ever have the opportunity to build and design their own partner from scratch?”
“You can design how I’d look once I grow to maturity. The best part is you get to watch as I grow up to it. It’s like you’re raising your own wife! Isn’t that incredible?”
“That sounds so wrong!” Nick protested. He rubbed his face raw with his rough hands, his ears burning in shame and embarrassment.
Yet, he couldn’t deny that he wasn’t imagining it. And that truly makes him question his morals.
“But you have my consent!” Reina cackled at his suffering. “Seriously. I don’t mind at all. In fact, I’m all up to it!”
Reina was all too happy to continue teasing her husband. Oh, it’s so fun to see the strongest man alive being teased to oblivion without being able to do something about it.
And this was something only Reina had the privilege to do, nobody else. It’s one of the perks of being the wife of the first Primal Origin Human, after all.
“If you want me to have the biggest tits ever or an ass so round it generates its own gravitational field, or both, you can do it! I’ll use the hell out of that body!”
“Just imagine planets revolving around my ass! Oh, that’s glorious! Don’t you think so too?” Reina snorted as she continued teasing him.
“Damn, you insufferable woman!” Nick, too, snorted at his own laughter.
Nobody would ever imagine the ever-so-prim-and-proper Reina to say words like this.
The truth is, Reina’s tongue and dirty vocabulary were richer than Patricia’s. In fact, Patricia got this from her. The only difference is that Patricia wasn’t shy about using it all the time; Reina chooses her moments.
“So yeah, go get busy. Patty said I’ll be fine, and I believe her. I know you’d make the best one for me anyway. You never held back when I’m in the picture.”
“And never will.” Nick replied, almost instantly. “I promised you that when we got married. It’s part of my vows, always has been, always have been, and always will be.”
Reina’s heart fluttered at his words.
Truth be told, she was just as impatient as he was. She too wanted to have a new body as soon as possible. She oh-so-badly wanted to hold Nick and make up for the lost time.
She didn’t accompany Nick out of their homeworld and help build the foundations of his legend just because he was bored. She too was gutted at what happened to her, but not even once did she blame Nick for it, only herself for not having more preparations.
Now that she had a chance to live again, of course she’d want to have the best. And luckily for her, Nick was all too happy to provide for her. He’s also the strongest man alive now, having reached the mythical Primal Origin Lifeform Realm.
This is why she meant it when she said that Nick could design her body as he wished. She knew that Nick would take everything into consideration. He’d want nothing but the best for her.
Sure, it might take him some time or not, but that’s alright with her. Nick and Patricia could support her state indefinitely anyway.
