Endless Horde: Through the Eyes of a Godking - Chapter 895: Making a body

Chapter 895: Making a body
—
Nick took his mission seriously…
To be fair, he’d do the same to everything that had something to do with Reina, especially now that they discovered that she’s still alive somehow and he was determined to give her another chance at life.
In all honesty, if Nick weren’t that much of a perfectionist, he could’ve created a new body in a snap of a finger or in the blink of an eye.
It won’t be an effort for him. All he had to do was to think about it, and the primitive universe, as well as the concept laws, would do his bidding. They’d scramble to meet his standards.
He’d had a new flesh-and-blood infant before he’d even finished with his thoughts, and if he was so careless, he could just shove a soul in there, and it’d be just fine.
However, this soul was Reina—his wife, his love, and the light of his life. Because it’s her, everything must be perfect. Nothing but the best for his beloved. If he couldn’t provide this much, then what the hell was the use of him being the strongest man alive?
That’s why even though a week already passed since Reina’s recovery, Nick still wasn’t done constructing a body for her.
Of course, it wasn’t just him involved. His friends were on it too. They already gave their entries and matters to consider during the body’s construction.
Nick wanted this body to be one of a kind. He wants it to be the best there ever was, without losing its core origin, that being a human, of course. He wants this body to possess such immense talent and potential that Reina would be able to catch up to him eventually.
He wanted Reina’s new body to be so strong so that he’d never lose her again. And for that, Nick planned everything.
Nick gathered incredibly rare resources for its construction and fused their essence to its creation. He considered bloodlines, talents, instincts, and everything that will make Reina a well-rounded expert. He wanted her to not have any weaknesses at all.
Hell, he even included his own blood and placed several protections in her body. Ones that will never restrict Reina, only protect her in case she’s met with accidents or disasters.
The hardest part is taking all of this and stuffing it inside an infant body. Most of the materials he had clashed violently with each other so much that he had to repeatedly balance the ratios or introduce a medium to harmonize them.
With more things added down the line, the more complicated it gets. Nick had seen the body explode and/or fail multiple times before everything could stabilize. And even when they did stabilize, the state was only temporary. Give it a few more years of growth inside a time chamber, and somehow, it’ll start breaking down.
It was fortunate that Patricia was there to help him. Without her expertise in soul laws, even if Nick were to somehow build the perfect body Reina could think of, there was a chance for all of it to fail once Reina was fused into the body. And when that happens, he’d be risking her safety again.
And that was not something he wanted to do.
With Patricia, though, they simulate soul fusion at every attempt. Patricia could copy Reina’s soul origin to test the bodies’ reaction to the fusion, which was enough to cover that mess.
Most of the time, though, the bodies never survived the soul fusion. Even the most balanced and perfectly crafted body breaks down when Reina’s soul is introduced.
It was a long and grueling trial-and-error process. But each time, they’re getting close.
Nick remained patient. He didn’t mind the repeated failures because he had known that, with his standards, this wouldn’t have been easy anyway. He’s more concerned with making everything right for his wife.
And so, weeks stretched into months.
Nick continued supervising the creation of Reina’s new body using his clones while his real body never left Reina’s side.
During this time, he told her everything that she missed: the changes that happened after her death, the progress that was made, and how the current Heavenly Star Chaos Realm operates in modern times.
He even brought her to some places that she recalled just so that she could see everything in person.
To say that she missed a lot would be an understatement. In her previous state, she was barely aware of how much time had passed. Now that she’s fully cognizant of it, she realizes the true weight of her disappearance in Nick’s life.
In her eyes, she couldn’t recognize the Heavenly Star Chaos Realm anymore. She died during the great war of sovereignty—which was in the middle of Nick’s climb to the top of this chaos realm.
Everybody has moved on without her. The old friends she made, the memorable places she remembered, even their home—the Altus Sky Solar System—had changed beyond her recognition too.
But compared to how messy, disorganized, and dangerous the Heavenly Star Chaos Realm was back then? Reina could confidently say that she prefers the current state of the realm compared to the past.
She wasn’t mad at all. Why? Because this was their vision to begin with. She accompanied Nick out of their home realm to see the wider world and was disappointed at how humanity was treated.
Reina had spearheaded the efforts of turning humanity into a sovereign race. She originally wanted to elevate humanity’s standing equal to that of the dragons, demons, mechanoids, etc. But she was disappointed to learn that they never thought too highly of humans to begin with.
All of them saw humans as slaves, creatures that are completely and utterly beneath them. They ’allowed’ humanity to continue existing simply out of amusement, entertainment, and convenience. Where else would they find willing slaves and toys, after all?
But look at how that turned out? Those races are pretty much extinct, with the exception of the Horde, obviously. And humanity firmly stands as a true sovereign race.
Her death might’ve been an instrument to spark these changes, and she was fine with that. They achieved all of this, after all.
Besides, everything turned out well. And recently, her husband had retrieved and ressurected her. Now, he’s even building a new body for her.
All is well, if you ask her. There was no reason to complain at all.

Eventually, Nick got it right.
He created the perfect body for Reina to use. It had everything Nick would ever want for her, including a few bonus traits that were born out of the harmony of all the materials he used.
The body was also very receptive and adaptable to, virtually, any soul that was about to be fused to it. They’ve tried it already with Reina’s soul origin copies, and the harmony was nigh-perfect.
Nick even performed several divination rituals to see if this body was indeed the one they should use, and he got a very positive answer.
Everything was in place. And so, despite his anxiety, he called her and told her that it was ready.
Reina smiled peacefully at him. Told him that he had her utmost faith and was ready to begin.
Everybody was here, ready and prepared to interfere at the first sign of instability.
But it turns out that they didn’t have anything to worry about. Reina’s fusion went so smoothly that it made them doubt if it even worked at all.
It was a perfect fit and more. Reina herself told them that she never had such a comfortable sensation. This body felt like it was always meant to be hers, even more so than her previous one.
The best part is that, if the Bug Empress ever had the chance to ambush and steal her body again, it won’t work. This body was designed to retaliate in extremes once it recognizes that it wasn’t the owner’s soul residing in it.
But enough about contingencies…
Reina’s got a new body now! One that is more than a perfect fit for her.
This body was so awesome that Reina was able to fly even as an infant. Of course, it will take some time before she completely adjusts and truly fuses completely with this body.
Everything that she feels right now about it is subject to change over time. She might feel it’s a perfect fusion with it getting better over time, or worse, if she’s unlucky.
She didn’t think that it’d happen, though; she had complete faith in her husband, but she couldn’t deny that there was a small chance of failure.
Still, she was very happy with this.
As an infant, she gets tired easily, but that’s understandable. This was a new body after all. They’d need more time to allow her to grow normally.
They already discussed that they won’t put her under time dilation to ’accelerate’ her growth. She wants it to happen as naturally as it could be to lessen any potential accidents.
The only downside is that both she and Nick are going to have to wait until she’s at least 20 years old in this new body before they can be in the same bed again…
