Chapter 914: Grand Chaos Revitalization Formation
—
It’s not that Cedric didn’t trust the Human Sovereigns with their plans for the remains of the Crimson Womb Chaos Realm…
They’re not stupid, that much is obvious. They are aware of the people’s concern and should have some things in mind on how to deal with that poor, chaotic realm.
But like that one viral online post said, the cost of healing that chaos realm just doesn’t look like it’s going to be worth it. Even if the entire council were to empty their coffers, the most it would do is to stabilize the chaos realm.
That’s it, mere stabilization. Stabilization doesn’t automatically mean prosperity. And even if they did use all of the resources available to them to stabilize that chaos realm, what then?
The best thing they could do is to invite others to start living in that barely habitable place; worse, they’d have to charge them rent since the council would be too poor by then.
Sure, that might just work. After all, both Nicholas and Patricia sit at the helm of the council. They’re primal origin lifeforms, the strongest amongst all; just their power alone would be sufficient to intimidate others into doing what they wanted.
But in the long term? That’s bad. That’s a form of suppression, which will later build resentment and deep conflict, one that would ignite a fierce civil war.
Regardless of power, neither Nick nor Patricia would want that. They’d rather not strike against their own kin just for some profit, but they also couldn’t resist it if they were cornered.
That’s the largest cause of their indecision. That’s why they refrained from saying anything final as of the moment.
And Cedric, well…he felt that it was a shame for such a large place like that to just die.
Whatever’s left of the spirituality of that chaos realm, it never asked for this. It was the Bug Empress who forced it into cooperating. It never had a choice, and the Bug Empress was just too headstrong and much of a bully when she wanted something done.
So, he felt compelled to do something about it.
“Oh, well…let’s see what I can do,” he muttered to himself.
First, he stepped out of the Heavenly Star Chaos Realm without alerting anybody. Neither Nick or Patricia could really sense his movements unless he allowed it.
With a few spatial hops, he arrived just close enough to the Crimson Womb Chaos Realm; yes, he knew where it was instinctively and began his deep scan.
With his powerful set of eyes, his observation left nothing to be missed. He could see everything in the extremely large but dying chaos realm, down to the smallest corrupted stone.
“Well, this was worse than I thought it was,” he mused to himself with a sad sigh.
He was already expecting it to be bad, but seeing it in person revealed just how bad this realm’s actual state was. It’s certainly much, much worse than the previous state of the Black Pegasus Chaos Realm.
Really, it was no wonder why everybody who saw it returned saying that it’s hopeless, that it’s better for this place to die. It is that bad.
But not entirely hopeless, actually.
Sure, this realm seemed as if it were begging to be put down, but there’s hope here. Cedric wasn’t out of options.
But before he did anything, Cedric made sure that nobody was looking first.
He didn’t want prying eyes or witnesses to his miracles. He didn’t want them asking questions. He wasn’t doing this to curry favor or for fame. He’s doing it simply because he wanted to.
When he confirmed that he was the only one here and that the two Primal Origin Lifeforms at home were not paying attention to this place, he began to move.
Similar to what he did with the Black Pegasus Chaos Realm, he planned on using a Grand Formation to restore and revive this place. However, since the state of this realm was much, much worse than the former, he needed something more potent, something way stronger.
And for that, he needed to exert some serious effort.
Fortunately, Cedric was way stronger compared to when he helped the Black Pegasus Chaos Realm to recover. He’s got the acknowledgment of six Origin Laws currently and was working for more.
Like before, he needed planets to serve as nodes and flags for the formation. But seeing as how deeply corrupted every damned thing in this chaos realm was, he couldn’t use what was left of them.
At least, not before purifying them. But purifying deeply corrupted planets like these wasn’t much different from getting rid of them completely. They’ve been so steeped in corruption that it has become the glue that keeps it together; get rid of that, and the entire thing falls apart.
He’d be lucky to have a handful of space dust after he purifies it. So, simply put, no, he couldn’t use the corrupted planets for his formation.
No big deal though. Since there’s none available for use, he’d just make them. Out of thin air, too, yes!
Mastering the five basic elemental laws to the Origin Law level makes this entire process incredibly easy.
So easy to the point that he could give birth to galaxies with a mere thought, so what’s so difficult about creating a few planets for him?
Furthermore, since it is his intent to use these planets as nodes and flags to the grand formation he intended to use, he could craft each one with all the necessary details and traits he’d need. This saves him the effort of sifting through numerous stars and planets to use just to find something that fits his needs.
999 stars and planets were the required number he needed for the formation to work. And since that’s how much he needed, that much he created.
It took him an hour to create them. And since he created them, he went out of his way to place them into the positions they needed to be in as soon as they were created.
This forced him to weave through the deeply corrupted remains of the Crimson Womb Chaos Realm. It was unpleasant, especially with how dirty and deeply corrupted everything here was. But Cedric still did it.
Fortunately, the corruption here was unable to cling to him simply due to his protections. The scent of origin laws had the corruption reeling in terror before his presence.
Once he’s done planting the formation nodes and flags, the next order of business is to, obviously, activate it.
However, since it’s his intention to hide his actions from both Nicholas and Patricia, he ensured that this place was isolated first. He did it by covering the entire chaos realm with a temporary mirage that would make it look like what it is now to the naked eye, just to temporarily deceive prying eyes when they decided to do an impromptu scan.
This mirage will dispel itself once all of Cedric’s traces have completely disappeared, up to the point that even Nicholas and Patricia wouldn’t be able to discern anything anymore. And until most of his work here was done.
Also, this mirage will hide all the visible visual spectacle that would happen once he started the formation.
And so, once the preparations were made, the next course was to, obviously, let the rest happen.
He activated the formation, one that is called the ’Grand Chaos Revitalization Formation’—a formation that was more potent, more effective, and more primal compared to the one he used in the Black Pegasus Realm.
This formation will essentially force the rebirth of this chaos realm. It starts by destroying everything that is unwanted or unnecessary first, then recycling the essence and wastes into something more useful for the realm. If the formation sensed that there wasn’t enough material, it would directly use Law Essence or even Origin Laws to supply what was needed.
Yes, this recyling also includes the corruption itself. Although it’s a foul existence, it’s a surprisingly potent energy source when stripped of its corruptive properties. With how much is left here, the formation shouldn’t have to force Law Essences or Origin Laws too much.
For this, Cedric embedded the Origin Law Diagram of the five basic elemental laws into the stars and planets he used just to make sure that the formation works as intended and without any pause.
Upon the activation of the formation, a great shift had begun.
The whole Crimson Womb Chaos Realm trembled and became a huge no-entry zone due to how fierce the spatial storms were.
Only the formations Cedric left were unmoved by the spatial storm that enveloped the entire chaos realm, and the mirage held up, suppressing everything within, preventing both Nicholas and Patricia from sensing what’s happening here.
Everything’s going well according to Cedric’s expectations.
It wouldn’t take long, maybe a month and some days or weeks, and the recyling period would stop. What came next was the recovery period for the independent consciousness of this chaos realm, and after that, the true revitalization.
But all of that will happen on its own. Cedric doesn’t need to be here to see it all happen. He could just hop in for periodic checks.
With his work here done, Cedric hopped back home while whistling a tune.
’All in a day’s work.’
