Endless Horde: Through the Eyes of a Godking - Chapter 915: ’CS’ Again

Chapter 915: ’CS’ Again
—
It took about 50 years before the mirage Cedric left on the Crimson Womb Chaos Realm began dissipating…
No, it didn’t disappear all at once. It peeled off layer by layer, like old paint, slowly revealing what’s hidden underneath.
It didn’t even have to be Nick or Pat who had to discover this either. Berk, Urek, or Gibson would’ve been able to break this mirage had they sensed it too. But Cedric’s mirage was just that good despite it not being his specialty.
In the end, it wasn’t until a hundred years later, after the mirage was completely gone and all traces of Cedric’s meddling were gone, that Nicholas and Patricia saw the state of the Crimson Womb Chaos Realm.
“Unbelievable!” Urek exclaimed as he now saw the current state of the chaos realm.
He wasn’t alone. He’s accompanied by his fellow sovereigns. Upon sensing the change, Nick and Pat didn’t waste time and informed the others right away. Then, they immediately went over to check what happened.
The others also saw what this chaos realm looked like after Nick and Pat were done with the horde. As reluctant as they were to admit it, they too were unable to find a good solution to save this chaos realm. They also thought that it was a lost cause, that it’s better for it to be destroyed rather than be restored since it’s just not worth it.
But now, things have obviously changed.
The current Crimson Womb Chaos Realm was no longer corrupted. Yes, it’s that incredible. There was truly no corruption left wherever they looked. Neither Nick nor Pat could sense anything; even Gibson with all of his gadgets couldn’t detect any ounce of corruption anywhere, and he had been thoroughly searching.
It was incredible. Even Nick and Pat themselves were surprised. Evidently, it wasn’t them who did this.
Actually, the lack of corruption was not the main point. It’s the new appearance of the chaos realm.
Sure, its location hasn’t changed, and the unique shape and formation of the chaos realm remain the same, but it’s no longer old, weary, or begging to be put down.
Somehow, it seemed to have experienced some sort of rebirth. The independent consciousness of this chaos realm was once again active and alive. It’s weak still, yes, but not because of the corruption gnawing at its bones; it’s because it practically had to start again at the very beginning, which was akin to this chaos realm literally having a rebirth.
The shape and form of the chaos realm were the same, but everything else was new; the planets, the stars, the asteroid belts, and even the density of origin energy and concept laws here were fresh.
It’s as if they’re in a new chaos realm entirely, one that was born right under their nose without them knowing.
“How the hell is this even possible?” Urek’s voice was filled with awe and astonishment as he realized the sheer scale of work needed for this to happen.
Nick and Pat admitted this themselves. That even with their combined efforts, it’d take millions of years for them to truly restore this place to its healthy, functioning, and habitable state. And that’s with them being liberal with their use of resources.
They could shave a lot of time off it if they went all out with their resources, but even then, it’d still take a million years at least for them to stabilize this place.
Yet, look at this! They turned their heads away from this place just for a little bit, and this happens.
“This wasn’t us,” Nick and Pat admitted and were not ashamed to do so. They won’t take credit that’s not theirs since that’s beneath them.
“It’s from that person, ’CS,’ the same one that helped the Black Pegasus Chaos Realm to recover,” Gibson revealed, much to the shock and surprise of his friends.
They found Gibson standing before a tall stone steele, one that’s at least ten meters high and two meters thick. It was rooted to the earth as if it naturally grew from it.
In that stone stela, there was a written message. It was written with the same style and font as the one they saw on the Black Pegasus Chaos Realm, which practically confirmed that it came from the same person.
It read:
**
Hello again,
Great job with the Horde. Those bugs had always been gross, and I could never stand them. If it were up to me, I would’ve long eradicated them already.
However, I am also aware of humanity’s rivalry with them. Your enmity runs so deep that, if I had interfered, I would’ve stained myself with an incredibly dense karma, one that even I have to be wary of. And I couldn’t be bothered with that, so I thought that I’d just let you guys handle it.
After all, it would be more meaningful to you if you were the ones to put them down, and it also saves me from having to deal with unstable karma.
Of course, there was an exception, and it’s that young one, Cain, I think his name is. Cute kid, I tell you. Very innocent too. The Supreme Will loved that little one, and I’m pretty sure it had grand plans with him.
It was really nice of you to give that kid a chance, fake as it was. I could tell that the kid really appreciated that, and by extension, his family, too.
That earned you boatloads of positive karma, by the way, so good job! Really, really good job!
And because of that, I felt compelled to act.
You saw the state of this place, and you deemed it ’not worth it.’ Well, can’t really blame you there. Anybody who’d give it a single glance could immediately say that it’s not really worth the effort.
But that’s you, not me.
I, for one, felt that it’s a shame for this place to go down just like that. It never had an option, you see. The Bug Empress was too forceful with it. It was coerced to participate, and it paid dearly for it.
As such, I believe that it’s worth the chance and the effort. And it just so happens that I have the skill and the ability to give it another chance.
And that’s precisely what I did here.
I used something called ’The Grand Chaos Revitalization Formation’—it’s composed of 999 heavenly bodies to act as nodes and flags for this formation.
Its duty is to facilitate the rebirth of this chaos realm. First, it broke everything down to its most basic components and then recycled all of it to be used for its rebirth.
Yes, that includes the corruption too…
Even the foulest taint could be used as an energy source so long as you know what you’re doing.
This formation was, obviously, larger and more potent compared to the one I used at the Black Pegasus Chaos Realm. This one’s more drastic and needed something more; that’s why.
Once the rebirth is done, this chaos realm will be in a period of accelerated growth, that too with the help of this formation.
Basically, 10 years = 1 million years of natural development (roughly).
Once it comes to a point where the indepedent consciousness of this chaos realm enters a period of full maturity and activity, and the whole chaos realm becomes overflowing with life and resources, this formation will, slowly but surely, deactivate itself.
All 999 heavenly bodies will, one by one, disappear on their own. At that point, humans could start colonizing this place as freely as they wanted.
Of course, do respect this place. Don’t provoke the ire of this chaos realm’s consciousness or you won’t like what happens next. I gave it some protections, you see.
I left a copy of the grand formation I used underneath this stone stela. It’s sealed and preserved in a crystal. If you want to learn it, go ahead. Fair warning, though, it’s a bit complicated. I advise caution and discipline while studying it.
Well, that’s all I have to say. If there’s a chance, maybe we’ll meet someday in the future.
– CS

“Holy crap!” Gibson exclaimed.
He wasted no time and began digging, eager to search for that crystal that preserved the grand formation that ’CS’ used to fix this place.
It wasn’t just him who was excited; even Nicholas and Patricia were eager to see what it’s like.
But as they started searching for it, they couldn’t help but feel a little surprised and awed by what happened.
Something that they deemed a lost cause and a worthless endeavor turned out to be solvable through other means.
What they saw as a hopeless sight wasn’t so hopeless after all; they just lacked the skill and the ability for it. And thank god for ’CS’ because it would’ve been a really huge shame if this chaos realm had to die just like that.
Now, that no longer has to happen. And so long as they don’t touch anything that might ruin ’CS’s arrangement, then it wouldn’t take long before this place becomes overflowing with life and resources again.
