Endless Horde: Through the Eyes of a Godking - Chapter 917: Plans for Colonization

Chapter 917: Plans for Colonization
—
The Human Sovereigns, or more specifically Nick, didn’t dwell too much on ’CS’…
Sure, he’s still mildly wary about that man…if he’s even a man, but since they can’t do anything about him, at least not yet, then there’s no use staying bitter about him. ’CS’ hasn’t shown himself to be a threat, and it’s better if he stays that way.
Instead of focusing on someone that doesn’t want to show himself to them, they shifted their attention to the Crimson Womb’s chaos realm.
Its development was fast, way faster than the Black Pegasus Chaos Realm. It would probably complete its rehabilitation faster than the other, actually.
And it’s rather ironic, because you see, if it weren’t for CS, it’d take millions of years for the Crimson Womb Chaos Realm to heal. Hell, the chances of it dying were higher than its chances of recovering.
The Human Sovereigns, as strong as they are, don’t have the ability to help a realm like CS did. Even if they had to back off from it, they too started thinking that it’s a lost cause.
But that’s no longer the case, does it? CS appeared and solved their problems for them.
With his skills and abilities, he had gotten rid of all the corruption that’s left in this chaos realm. Hell, he even recycled it and used it as an additional energy source. Not only did he prevent any new corrupted creatures from being born in this cesspool of corruption, but he also reversed its nature and used it for the betterment of the realm itself.
How astonishing was that?
And now, with the grand formation he set up, the chaos realm was in a period of explosive growth. The Human Sovereigns could literally see how the realm’s development happened right before their vigilant eyes. Such development shouldn’t be this fast. What takes millions of years of natural development was happening in mere years; it’s incredible!
A decade of real time is equivalent to, roughly, a million years of natural development. Such a miracle wouldn’t have been possible even for Nick and Pat, and that’s even if they were to empty their treasury. Yet it’s happening right before their eyes.
There’s something satisfying about it. It’s like watching a real time-lapse on the scale of an entire chaos realm.
The Human Sovereigns didn’t interfere. Hell, they didn’t even dare to walk on the plains or the worlds just yet. They didn’t want their footprints to trigger some unexpected and uncontrolled mutations anywhere.
They comforted themselves by watching it from a distance, awed at how nature works on its own aided by the formation that CS left.
Calculating the time, the development and recovery of both the Black Pegasus Chaos Realm and the Crimson Womb Chaos Realm should conclude around the same time.
Sure, the formation that CS left on the Crimson Womb Universe should, in theory, propel its development and recovery faster than the Black Pegasus’, but the former had to go on a complete rebirth, and that process alone takes up a lot of time, energy, and resources, unlike the latter, whose flesh and bones could still be mended just fine.
The Crimson Womb Chaos Realm would need hundreds of millions of years to recover and develop until it becomes habitable. That’s why that popular online post said that it’s not worth it.
CS’s formation solved the time and resource problem for them, which was the best thing they could ever ask for. All they need to do is to be patient, and very soon, the Crimson Womb Chaos Realm will be ripe for their taking.
Almost at the same time, the Black Pegasus Chaos Realm becomes ripe too.
“Which brings us to the most important point,” Gibson stated, hands hovering before a hologram that displays two miniature chaos realms. His eyes shining in splendor and ambition.
“What are our plans for colonizing these two chaos realms?”
It wasn’t just him who looked eager. His friends too were in deep thought.
Well, who could blame them really? Situations like this don’t happen often. Hell, saying it’s a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity wouldn’t even be wrong.
These were two additional chaos realms that could be colonized. This isn’t to say that the Heavenly Star Chaos Realm wasn’t enough for them anymore; it is. In fact, there are still a lot of places available around. Humans don’t have to compete for space anytime soon.
But who could say no to more? Who would say no to more? Especially given how these two chaos realms were practically served to them on a silver platter?
“As big as our appetites are, there’s no way we can monopolize everything,” Berk stated, being the voice of reason among them. “The territories alone are vast, and that’s even with our needs and wants. A sector domain would be more than enough for us to claim. The rest? They have to be distributed, rented out, used for special needs, or preserved for their natural resources.”
“That’s right.” Patricia supported Berk’s statement. “These pies are a little too big for us to finish on our own. We need to be smart about this.”
“Those that are loyal and faithful to the council are the priorities,” Nick stated firmly. “We have to repay their loyalty in good faith so they come first. And this is to deepen our relationship and ensure the longevity of the council.”
“Obviously,” Urek commented. Others also agreed silently.
That has always been the idea. The Human Council, as mighty as it was, couldn’t have made it on their own. They’ve got a lot of allies who advanced when they did, bled, and sacrificed their lives for the cause. Such loyalty had always been honored, respected, and observed by the council all this time. And they couldn’t possibly forget about them, especially not now.
“We need to include those unscrupulous merchants too,” Urek added. “Those profiteers might be opportunistic and greedy, but it’s those very same qualities of theirs that would make sure that the value of the worlds and lands wouldn’t be underappreciated. They’re also needed for balance.”
“True, the Golden Bangle Bank should be at the very forefront of that,” Gibson agreed.
When it comes to wealth, resources, and profit, there’s probably no one better than the Golden Bangle Bank. They are everywhere. They even reached the Black Pegasus Chaos Realm even when it was still steeped in demonic energy, and it didn’t stop them from squeezing out profits from them.
So long as the price is right, the Golden Bangle Bank will open its doors and services to anybody. That’s their virtue and their promise, and they always held up to that. That’s why their reputation was renowned everywhere.
If they planned on colonizing two more chaos realms, there’s no way the Golden Bangle Bank would stay out of it. Instead of waiting for them to pounce, it’s better to give them an invitation in exchange for a good deal.
“The Makers Guild,” Berk suggested. “Hire them and have them work with the Space Marines. We need to make plans for the borders of the dimensional gaps right away. In fact, that should be our first priority before inviting others.”
“Oh, yes. That’s a good point!” Urek exclaimed.
The Makers Guild. If you can imagine it, they can build it. It’s this very guild that created the Human Council HQ from the ground up, down to the smallest brick, by hand.
They are makers, creators. Humble, simple, yet very honorable. Treat them kindly, and they will make sure that your home will last for centuries, money back guaranteed.
Building new frontiers, developing, and colonizing those two chaos realms couldn’t be done without their help.
Hell, if either Nick or Pat were to knock on the guild master’s doors right now and tell him that there are two chaos realms in need of colonization, that man will immediately rally all of his people and practically beg them to be taken there so they can start immediately.
He wouldn’t even ask for them a service fee, just the materials needed. His and his men’s happiness was to create new homes for humanity; that’s why the guild was built in the first place.
With such values, how can they be exempted from this? Hell, if that were to be the case, the guild master himself would storm the council immediately.
“We can inform them later. The Chaos Realms aren’t ready just yet; they still need time. But first, we plan on the placements so that when we eventually tell them, they can go straight to work right away.”
“True. Their guild master is a very eager one. He’d practically run there himself if he smelled an opportunity. Such a busybody, really.” Nick shook his head in amusement.
He had fond memories of the man. He’s a tall, strong, very straightforward guy and has no time for nonsense. He could always be found tinkering with something, which was his form of relaxation.
Curses like a sailor, though. But when it comes to the quality of work and loyalty, you’d be hard pressed to find someone as honorable and better as him. And his values extend to his men.
The discussion of the Human Sovereigns on how to continue developing the two chaos realms continues from here…
