Chapter 136: Chapter 111: Talent Completed, Barbaric Martial Saint
The black-robed, masked man’s crimson eyes, fixed on Li Chang’an, were filled with apprehension and killing intent.
Clearly, the fact that Li Chang’an had managed to fight his way here had far exceeded his expectations.
Li Chang’an sized him up for a few moments, then asked calmly, “Should I call you Andre, or the number one ranked Transcendent, ’Black Shadow’? Or are all of you nothing more than puppets manipulated by Andre?”
The aura emanating from the man was far beyond what ordinary Tier Seven or Tier Eight Transcendants could hope to match; it had likely already touched upon the realm of Tier Nine.
Moreover, Li Chang’an could faintly sense that the aura of the figure before him came from the same source as those Tier Seven and Tier Eight monsters downstairs.
Because of this, Li Chang’an had immediately guessed the man’s identity.
The only thing that surprised him was that Black Shadow, the world’s number one ranked Transcendent, was actually Andre, the boss behind the Advanced Technology Group Corporation.
Or rather, many of the powerful Transcendants within the Advanced Technology Group, including the so-called Black Shadow, were controlled by Andre!
’Then again,’ he thought, ’even Charles managed to leave a backdoor in his own son.’
’For Andre, the Father of the Extraordinary, to control other Transcendants… it didn’t seem unreasonable at all.’
The black-robed, masked man sneered, “You dare barge in here without even knowing who I am? Fine. After I kill you and send you to the lab for a thorough study, I’ll get the answers I want all the same!”
Before coming to this floor, Li Chang’an had already sensed the danger and had left Anna and Melissa downstairs to collect the scattered documents.
Thus, the only two on the battlefield now were Li Chang’an and the black-robed, masked man!
Clearly, neither of them had any intention of exchanging further pleasantries.
The battle erupted in an instant.
A pair of bare, fleshy wings sprouted from beneath the black-robed, masked man’s robe. With a powerful flap, he shot toward Li Chang’an like a bolt of lightning.
Li Chang’an was just as fast. Pushing off his feet, he launched himself upward like a cannonball. His body, harder than steel, smashed through the ceiling above. Then, with a powerful stomp from above, he sent the falling rubble and steel hurtling toward the black-robed, masked man like projectiles.
The masked man folded his wings. The terrifying force, enough to shatter a tank, slammed against them, yet it only caused him to pause for a moment.
After halting momentarily in mid-air, the masked man’s flight didn’t slow; instead, it grew even faster. His wings vibrated rapidly as he roared in a low voice, “Fly, get down here!”
As he spoke, he suddenly appeared in front of Li Chang’an. A sharp, half-meter-long bone spike grew from his right arm, and he thrust it violently at Li Chang’an’s chest.
Hearing his roar, the corner of Li Chang’an’s mouth curled into a smirk. He laughed, “You want me to get down? Alright. Let’s see whose body… is more perfect!”
Li Chang’an descended from the sky. The unique aura of a Martial Artist erupted from his body as he unleashed an explosive burst of power!
Fist and bone spike collided.
The masked man was clearly confident in his own physique.
His two fleshy wings flapped backward as his entire body suddenly swelled, transforming him into an ultimate monster seemingly composed entirely of muscle.
As he clashed with Li Chang’an, his other hand shot out toward Li Chang’an’s shoulder, clearly prepared to use his formidable physical strength to tear Li Chang’an to pieces at the first opportunity.
However, he never imagined that the power in Li Chang’an’s punch would be so terrifying, nor had he ever considered that Li Chang’an’s bare fist could contend with his own Extraordinary Bone Spike, which had been evolved countless times.
CRACK!
BOOM…
First came the sickening sound of bone shattering, followed by a series of explosions.
Caught off guard, the masked man was sent flying out of the building by Li Chang’an’s punch. The bone spike on his arm was shattered by the force of the blow, breaking into several pieces!
In mid-air, the masked man wretchedly coughed up a mouthful of blood and barely managed to stabilize himself.
He looked down at the shattered bone spike on his right hand, his face a mask of horror. “I am a Tier Nine Transcendent! My body and bones have already evolved to their absolute limit… Although you’ve also been injected with the ’God’s’ cells, the amount is so small, and you don’t possess true Divine Power. Logically, there’s no way you should be my opponent… Why is this? Why?!”
Clearly, the anomaly Li Chang’an presented had left the masked man bewildered.
He had spent half his life researching the Extraordinary, and his understanding of Extraordinary Potions and the Extraordinary Cells contained within them far surpassed anyone else’s.
He was the renowned Father of the Extraordinary, the self-proclaimed mortal representative of a god walking the earth.
But now, Li Chang’an’s existence made him deeply question all his past research and theories.
To put it simply, besides ’God’ Itself, he had never seen… or even dared to imagine that someone else existed in this world who could fight him in close combat!
Li Chang’an glanced down at his own fist, watching as a few drops of blood trickled from between his knuckles. “Well now,” he marveled, “you actually have some real skill!”
He had awakened Extraordinary Power, but he was also a Martial Artist who cultivated the Martial Dao.
Close-quarters combat was his greatest strength.
And yet, the hardness of the masked man’s bone spike still surpassed his imagination, actually managing to leave a wound on his knuckles.
