Eternal Cultivation of Alchemy - Chapter 2888: Break the Seal

Chapter 2888: Break the Seal
Alex had long since reached the Immortal Origin 6th realm. And then, one day, he consumed a Sunheart and not a single bit of its energy passed into his body at all. It was all turned into Qi.
That was all he needed to realize that he had consumed all the Sunheart he needed. Meaning, his body had improved as much as it could now. The Sun God’s Celestial Yang body was now at the peak.
After nearly 18 years since meeting the Tree, he had done it.
He rested for a long moment, surveying his own body.
What had changed?
Something had, but he couldn’t put a finger on it. He had long since finished eating the fruit from the Tree of Life, which had improved everything about him from blood to physique. All those improvements were permanent to him now.
And so, whatever had changed now had been after that.
It didn’t feel like he had upgraded his body at all. The Celestial grade body certainly hadn’t turned to a God grade just yet. He remembered having to eat the fruit of the Nine Yang tree to evolve it last time, so he may need some other trigger this time as well.
But even without it, there had been some overall changes.
Most of the other changes were either minor or too vague for him to realize what they were. But one of the biggest changes was that the Storm God’s seal around his body had weakened a lot.
Just as the Guardian Tiger and the Tree of Life had suggested to him, it was now perhaps the time to break the seal.
Alex wasn’t sure just yet, so he decided to give it a test run.
There were two things he had been wanting to bring out from his Soul Space for some time now, and had only been stopped due to the size of the hole he could form in the seal.
Alex stopped everything and focused on his Soul Space now. He attacked his Soul Space, tearing open a tiny hole in it. The pain was already there, but at this point, it did not bother him at all.
He continued to widen the hole, bigger and bigger, sensing just how far he could push it. As he continued, it became difficult to keep doing so. Like stretching something elastic, the more he stretched it, the harder it became to continue.
The size he opened, however, was enough for him to bring out what he wanted.
The two items he brought out were the Voidsand Hourglass and the Standing Pendulum.
The Voidsand Hourglass was filled with sand that contained within them the aura of Temporal Awareness, which gave someone complete understanding of the true time passing, despite any interference with time itself.
The Standing Pendulum produced aura of both Temporal Swiftness and Temporal Stagnation, allowing him to easily learn just the two Dao.
While these two items were no match in terms of how much he could learn from the Void, without the distractions that came with the other aura, and the lack of needing to rest after every day or two of learning, he could be far more productive with the two.
So, after letting Bladedance know about it, he went into closed cultivation.
Alex spent day after day learning just with these three aura. He could never learn any Dao, so he had to keep at it normally, hoping he could get his intent to get in line with these aura.
At the same time, he prepared for breaking the seal as well. Since he had done well enough already, he was sure he could do it all the way through.
Alex trained and cultivated for nearly 2 more years in preparation. And then, he was ready to attack the seal once again.
There were two seals, so he needed to decide on which to go for first. After a very short deliberation, Alex decided to go for the seal around his Spiritual Sea.
The advantage of having an unobstructed Spiritual Sea was far more than whatever he could gain from his Soul Space at the moment. So, that was what he went for first.
Alex asked Bladedance to help him, not to break the seal, but to keep watch in case something unexpected happened to him. The Storm God’s seal hadn’t fought back just yet, but there was nothing to say it wouldn’t.
“It’s Quickstorm’s seal. Are you confident in breaking it?” she asked.
“I wouldn’t call myself confident,” Alex said. “But I have prepared as much as I can until now and there is nothing else left for me to do. If I can’t do this, then the chances of us escaping Hell are far too low.”
Bladedance frowned. She couldn’t imagine how a mere Immortal could break through the seal placed on them by a Half-God, even if it were a relatively half-hearted seal.
Still, seeing him so determined, she didn’t voice her opinion, and instead prepared herself to help. Her own situation at the moment wasn’t so good, but given it was her very first disciple that was asking for her help, she would do it.
Alex attacked the seal around his Spiritual Sea with no further delay. He struck it with enough force to tear open a hole much wider than any he had created until now.
Then, he pushed his Intent into opening the hole wider.
Pain came, first in waves, then a constant thing. The seal immediately reached a point where it refused to stretch any further, and yet Alex forced it to.
The seal fought back with more pain than it ever had, reaching a crescendo and then breaking past it. Sounds of thunder and lightning struck his mind, filling him with a sense of being at the center of a storm, untethered to anything else.
And yet, it could not stop Alex.
He let the pain strike him as it may and the sound distract as it could.
He ignored it all, focusing entirely on breaking the seal.
