Eternal Cultivation of Alchemy - Chapter 2915: White Tiger's Palace

Chapter 2915: White Tiger’s Palace
“What’s that?” Alex was the first to notice something shining golden far away. It stood out quite a bit despite them being over half a day away from reaching it. A certain haze made it difficult to see anything beyond just that golden shine.
“You can see it already? Impressive,” Bai Jingshen said. “We’re close by now, to the White Tiger’s Palace.”
Everyone perked up. They continued watching what lay far before them, and as they did, they too saw the golden light as they approached.
The golden light turned out to be a golden bubble, which Bai Jingshen explained was the defensive formation around the White Tiger’s Palace. So long as you entered that particular section, you would have arrived at the Palace itself.
Alex expected to reach the palace anytime soon now and even as they got closer, the barrier was still far away. His eyes widened slowly in shock as he saw the size of the barrier grow bigger and bigger, soon dwarfing mountains like it was a bush next to a large tree.
Everyone viewed the upcoming barrier with shock as they realized that the barrier itself was over dozens of kilometers tall.
They finally got close enough that the barrier was right in front of them. As they did, Bai Jingshen smiled.
At the same time, Pearl felt something weird happening inside his body. “Grandpa…?” he called out.
“Only a White Tiger can open or close this barrier,” Bai Jingshen explained. “Anyone else will have to use the proper teleportation formations, of which very few are available. This way, not just anyone can enter the White Tiger’s Palace.”
As he said, an opening appeared on the bubble, allowing them inside. The flying vessel moved forth and they were inside, the barrier closing up behind them.
Immediately, Alex saw what lay before, his eyes growing wide in shock. Every single person, including Bladedance, could not hide their emotions from surfacing on their face.
The White Tiger’s Palace was a showcase of opulence and pride. The palace rose from the ground like a celestial fortress, its walls being made entirely of white marble with pure gold carved into every aspect of the palace.
It was a massive thing with the central palace rising high into the sky, growing nearly a kilometer tall. Colossal pillars supported it, each made of alabaster and marble, rings of gold surrounding it in every aspect.
The central dome was made of pure gold, reflecting the bright sunlight up above. There was no barrier visible from the inside, as if it would be a blemish on the scenery that surrounded this region.
Banners of white and gold flew in every part of the palace, displaying the head of a White Tiger within it at the moment of its roar.
Fountains lay in every corner of the palace, shooting out waterfalls that then became rivers that flowed through the land. Gardens were present at every terrace that could be seen, those greens the only colors that stood out other than the white and gold of the palace.
Alex stared at the dream-like palace, unable to comprehend that there was something this magnificent in this world. He had never seen a sign of more wealth in any of the other regions around the world.
He looked down from the ship and saw an entire city that lived within its shadow.
He looked around, seeing that he wasn’t the only one feeling this way. Everyone else’s surprise made sense to him, but seeing his Master shocked as well told him just how incredible this sight was.
“Have you never been here before, Master?” he asked.
“Never,” Bladedance said in a whisper. “The last time I came, they took me directly to the island at the center where all four clan patriarchs gathered and we talked. Once done, we left immediately. I never got a chance to see any of this.”
Alex nodded slowly. “You seem just as stunned as us. Is this really that shocking? Have you not seen any other places that are like this?”
“Never,” Bladedance said again. “Nothing compares to this. I’ve been to the cults and palaces of many gods, but nothing compares. Not the Golden God’s golden mansion, not the Sky God’s palace. Nothing I’ve ever seen before compares to this. Even if they wanted to, not even a Half-God could ever make something like this.”
Bladedance’s words got Alex to feel even more astounded about what he saw before him. The White Tiger’s Palace was truly one of the greatest things to see in the entire world.
“And the Qi is also so thick,” Alex said. “Do you really live here, brother Shen?”
“Every single White Tiger lives here,” Bai Jingshen said. “The patriarch and everyone else with the bloodline lives in the main palace with the giant dome. Those that are part of the family but don’t have the bloodline are moved to the outer palace where they live for their entire life.”
“I see,” Alex said. He looked around for a moment, noticing that they were mid-air, not moving a single step closer. “Why are we not moving?”
“There will be people coming,” Bai Jingshen said. “We’ll have to wait a bit.”
Just as Bai Jingshen finished saying that, a White Tiger appeared before them. The White Tiger’s presence caused everyone to stiffen up instantly as they felt its aura.
Alex took in a deep breath, recognizing the beast to be just as strong as the Azure Dragon they met before that went by the name of Qing Zhangru.
“Greetings, Aunt Fulin,” Bai Jingshen said with a bow.
Alex immediately followed with a bow as well, and so did the rest, except Bladedance who simply gave a small nod.
“Nephew, who have you brought into our home?” she asked.
“Some family and friends, Aunt Fulin,” Bai Jingshen said. “Pearl, come forward.”
Pearl did as he was told.
“Aunt Fulin, meet my great-grandson, Shouchuang. He was born in a lower world, but he has the bloodline of the White Tiger,” Bai Jingshen said. “And he has finally come home.”
