Eternal Cultivation of Alchemy - Chapter 2935: An Answer

Chapter 2935: An Answer
The arrival of the final two heavenly beasts was almost expected for Alex after seeing the Azure Dragon arrive.
He was in fact surprised that the snake had made its way here slower than the Azure Dragon, given that they lived on the same continent. But then again, the Azure Dragons were blessed with the ability to teleport, and Alex didn’t yet know the extent of that ability.
It could very well be that they could teleport hundreds and thousands of kilometers normally, which even someone with the Teleportation Dao would find hard to achieve.
Teleportation at such a distance needed one to manipulate space on both ends, which took more from them than they were used to.
Alex hadn’t yet tested the extents of his own teleportation ability, but he wouldn’t be surprised if he could teleport a smaller distance than the Azure Dragon could.
Alex looked at the snake for a moment, wondering if its brother or sister, the Tortoise, would arrive as well. But from the looks of it, it wasn’t coming. Not that it needed to.
And given how the two beasts couldn’t truly die when at least one of them was alive, it would be wise for one to forever remain in safety while the other one went somewhere dangerous.
The final beast, the phoenix, had fiery feathers burning with phoenix flames. It flapped its wings in the air outside the ship, staring down at the place where Bladedance was preparing for the 7th tribulation lightning.
“Would you like to come inside, seniors?” the White Tiger asked.
The two didn’t get a chance to answer before the lightning bolt fell from the sky and Bladedance struck back with a swing that carried with it a strength that shocked everyone watching.
The world went stark white for a second as silence reigned in that moment. But when that moment passed, so did silence. And then the explosive roar of the clash of the two attacks wreaked havoc for everyone outside of the ship.
The snake immediately coiled up, its scales swiftly covered in a water barrier that covered itself entirely.
The phoenix didn’t defend. Instead, it chose to attack the shockwave. It let out a phoenix cry that shattered the space around it and at the same time destroyed the incoming shockwave.
Compared to the strength of the lightning bolt itself, the shockwave was far weaker. Even then, the two beasts were left breathless after what had just happened.
Even inside the ship, the shields wobbled in a crazy manner, making the people inside worry that it might shatter at any moment. But it held up thankfully, and so they weren’t wounded at all.
When it all died down, they saw the aftermath of the clash. The mountain where Bladedance stood was now rubble, and even the ones surrounding her were moments away from collapse.
And that was after the clash happened high in the air. Had the epicenter been where Bladedance was standing, it was likely that the entire mountain range would be destroyed.
Bladedance appeared slightly haggard after the 7th lightning bolt, which did carry with it the power of a Divine Domain 9th realm cultivator. This was a strike that would kill all but a handful of people that were currently alive.
Of the trillions and trillions of people alive throughout all 33 Immortal realms, over 70 spirit realms, and hundreds of minor worlds with no Qi, no more than 50 would come out unscathed on their own.
This was a level of strength that not even any of the four beasts currently in the area had seen.
“Seniors, would you like to take shelter in my vessel?” the White Tiger asked.
The two beasts couldn’t reject this shelter. They flew into the boat, landing on the deck.
“What is going on?” the snake asked immediately. “This is not a threat, is it?”
“No, not a threat,” the dragon answered. “These humans came to this realm a week ago. She is part of the group, and someone they call a God.”
“One of the human gods?” the phoenix asked with a look of puzzlement. “Why is she allowed to stay?”
“Our patriarch allowed her to stay for a month so she could deal with her Immortal tribulations before she left,” the White Tiger answered. “She will be leaving very soon.”
“That is good,” the phoenix said.
The phoenix and the snake didn’t even turn around to look at Alex or the old man. To them, they didn’t even register as someone worth their time to turn around to look at.
“How did she come here?” the snake asked. “Did our people fail to vet one of the people teleporting here from the human world?”
“No,” the Azure Dragon said. “They had a White Tiger with them, and they used a teleportation talisman belonging to one of our dead kin.” The dragon turned toward the White Tiger. “I have still yet to hear anything that answers why that is the case.”
The White Tiger gave an awkward smile. It had simply been designated to bring Bladedance and the other humans to this place so they might safely break through without being a problem to any of the beasts living in the area.
It was neither strong enough, nor did it have a cultivation base high enough to be capable of talking to any of the three beasts that had arrived.
These beasts were the strongest of the strongest, who worked right underneath the patriarchs and matriarchs, and handled business outside of their own palace and continent.
He wasn’t up for this task.
“I will relay these queries to my seniors when I return,” the White Tiger said. “You will have to talk to my seniors if you don’t get anything afterwards.”
The Azure Dragon didn’t press the issue. “So long as we get an answer, that is fine. But if it is the same nonsense I was made to hear the last time, you will have to deal with our patriarch. You will not be happy if you are made to do so.”
