Eternal Cultivation of Alchemy - Chapter 2937: The Aftermath

Chapter 2937: The Aftermath
The Undying God’s physique activated the moment the shockwave passed through Alex. His crushed bones and muscles healed instantly, bringing him back to life, giving him a destructive sight that would be hard to see any other time.
The entire mountain range around him sat in a layer of dirt and dust, lifted into the air from the shockwave that had yet to settle. All around him, blood hung in the air like mist, blood from his wound and his armor.
The surrounding world was silent like a calm left behind by the storm that was the aftermath of the celestial clash.
The noise came a second later, an earth-shattering boom that would no doubt be heard from hundreds and hundreds of kilometers away.
Alex brought out the old man after he was certain of his own safety. The old man looked around in surprise, mostly oblivious to what had just happened.
“Are you okay?” Alex asked him.
“Yes, yes. I’m fine,” Battlesage said. “What… what happened?”
Alex didn’t immediately answer. Now that he had made sure the old man was safe, he needed to check on his master who had been the closest to the lightning bolt.
Alex immediately flew away, the old man lagging behind for a few seconds. He went past the destroyed ship, the haggard beasts, among which the White Tiger seemed to be bleeding from every facial orifice, a sign of internal damage.
The other beasts showed no external signs of damage, but their expressions showed they hadn’t gotten away that easily either. The White Tiger had likely only been hurt so little because the others had protected him.
Alex gave them no more than a glance. He didn’t want to think about some proud beasts that would’ve let him die without a second thought.
His master’s situation was far more important.
The sky began to clear above him, the darkness giving way to light that shined down on the mountain range that bore the Immortal Tribulation of a Celestial.
Alex saw the mountain range in the distance, completely crumbled with cracks spreading to more mountain ranges as well. And, he saw no signs of Bladedance at all. He was worried that something might’ve happened to her, but then he saw some rocks move and Bladedance dug herself out of the rubble.
She was alive, but heavily wounded.
Alex quickly rushed down to the mountain, feeling the enormous energy of the world that surrounded him in that moment. This was the energy left behind after the end of the tribulation.
“Master, are you alright? Are you hurt?” Alex asked, lending her a hand so she could stay upright.
Bladedance coughed up some blood, some of which dripped down the side of her lips. Her slick black hair looked unkempt and there was a large blue gash along her right arm that had gone limp at the moment.
“I was too weak,” she complained in an annoyed tone. “Damn lightning still made it down to me.”
Alex quickly scanned her, or attempted to, but despite the strength of his senses, he could not dig deeper into her flesh.
“You appear more or less okay,” Alex said. “I’m sorry, but I don’t have any healing pills for you.”
“I know. There aren’t many healing pills for me anywhere either,” she said. “Help me sit down.”
Alex did as she told him to.
Bladedance sat down in the rubble, the aching of her wound making it hard to stay still. Then, she began to take slow deep breaths and soon started cultivating. The energy in the surroundings began drawing toward her, and seeing that had started, Alex moved away.
He flew far enough away from the place so that his master could absorb all the energy in the surrounding. As she did, she healed quite rapidly.
The biggest of her scars, the lightning scar on her right arm, slowly faded away with time, and within just a few minutes, it was already gone. Then, as she drew in more and more energy that was left behind, she had healed more or less.
“How is she? Is she okay?” Battlesage asked.
“Yes,” Alex said. “She just needs some time and she’ll be fine.”
“Oh! That’s good. I was worried.”
Alex and the old man watched for a few seconds before noticing the four beasts that had flown close to them.
“Incredible,” the White Tiger said in a soft voice. “She actually managed to survive that. So strong.”
Alex could hear the awe in his voice.
“I wouldn’t have expected any less from a Human god,” the Phoenix said.
“I was hoping to greet her, but it seems I won’t have the opportunity,” the snake said. “I must go tell my matriarch of what is happening. Farewell.”
The snake said nothing more and flew away without much ado.
“I should do the same,” the Phoenix said. “Young tiger, if something of this sort is to happen again, do let us know beforehand so we don’t have to be so worried.”
“I shall do as you say, senior,” the White Tiger said. He had no hand in any of what had happened so he was a little annoyed at being targeted for this.
The Azure Dragon turned toward the White Tiger as well. “Remind your seniors of what I said earlier. I will wait to hear from them soon.”
Then, it too turned around and teleported away.
The White Tiger watched the beasts leave and wiped the blood from its jaw.
“Are you alright, senior?” Alex asked.
“I’ll be fine,” the White Tiger said. “I will just need to eat a pill or cultivate. I think senior there will be cultivating for a while. What will you two do? If you want me to, I can take you back to the palace.”
“That’s alright,” Alex said. “We will stay here and wait.”
He had to stay around by his master. Besides, he had other things he could do to spend his time. To begin with, he really wanted to get through the knowledge of the book he had received enough times so that he could put it to use as soon as he could.
“Very well,” the White Tiger said. “We shall stay here then.”
