Eternal Cultivation of Alchemy - Chapter 3025: Unnatural

Chapter 3025: Unnatural
Alex began his explanation.
“As I mentioned earlier, the Connections are the main way through which one can heal. However, you see, Death Aura conceals this Connection. It stops a body’s natural healing process from attempting to heal someone because they can’t find it.”
“That is why as one ages and their death gets closer, the Death Aura stops their body from naturally healing them.”
Scarlet’s mother had the most fascinated expression on her face she had ever put up. She took in the information with great enthusiasm.
“Life Aura is the exact opposite of Death Aura. That is why it’s so helpful in healing someone. By introducing more Life Aura than Death Aura, you can safely negate the concealment done by the Death Aura, bringing healing back to the person’s body.”
“As you can expect, this doesn’t help all that much when the person is already old and their body is naturally producing Death Aura faster than they can take in Life Aura, but for the most part, it works.”
“Which is why, sometimes, you have to use a different approach. When Life Aura doesn’t help the individual, you need to resort to manipulating the Death Aura instead.”
Alex recalled the vaguest memory of him standing next to a patient’s bed, his palm on the wounded patient’s chest, drawing out Death Aura from their body before moving on to the next patient.
The war camp was filled with many demons wounded from a battle in a nearby clash.
The Fourth Undying God had been the first to understand this concept and use it to a previously unimagined efficacy. Perhaps, if Alex revisited the memories of the Undying Gods again, he could learn some more.
“How… how does one even do that?” the Phoenix asked.
“Maybe try and make pills that are strong with Yin Aura, have Death Aura in them,” Alex said. “I have the Dao of Death, so I could just extract out Death Aura from someone’s body if I need to.”
The Phoenix was surprised. She pressed Alex more to drag as much out of him as she could. Alex gladly let her.
He talked for hours, explaining details and concepts that were a little out of her wheelhouse.
Alex himself had only learned these concepts just a few months ago, so he didn’t have the experience to explain them as well as he hoped to. However, as the only person who had read through the Book of Boundless Healing, there was no one more knowledgeable than him in this topic.
Even as Alex explained a lot, he didn’t explain everything he could about healing.
There was still a concept he had skipped. A concept not even the Book of Boundless Healing held within it.
The Book of Boundless Healing dealt in healing through pills and pastes. It was the best friend of an Alchemist, and as such, it dealt with things that could be solved using naturally available materials.
Anything outside of the natural did not belong in that book.
And both Alex and the Phoenix were beings that belonged firmly in the unnatural.
The Vermilion Bird’s ability to revert time in order to be born again was, in a way, a type of healing. It was healing with consequences, but it was healing. Nowhere did the book have this information.
Similarly, Alex’s own Undying Physique was an anomaly when concerned with the book as well. It was even stronger than the Vermilion Bird’s ability to revert time. They came with consequences. Alex did not.
So long as there was Qi, Alex’s body could bypass both Life and Death Aura, and freely make use of the Connections in his body to heal.
So long as the smallest bit of Connection existed inside of him, he could fully heal. His surrounding itself brought him back to life even in the absence of Qi.
And that was only the Third Stage of the Undying Physique. Once he improved his body and entered the Fourth and final Stage of the Undying Physique, he could go one step beyond and heal using more than just the Connections in his body.
Their sessions lasted for a while longer before it came to an end. When they did, Scarlet’s mother came out the winner as she learned the most out of them. She was rather apologetic about it, since she thought she would be the one explaining to him about healing.
A few days later, Scarlet flew out of his Soul Space, followed by Pearl. Her cultivation base was already close to breaking through to the next realm despite her only cultivating for a few months at best.
Alex gave a surprised look. “That’s… that’s quite fast,” he said.
“How come I never got to use this place back in the Lower Realm?” she asked. “You should have told me there was such a place there.”
Alex shrugged. “I just… kind of forgot about it,” he said. “But I did thankfully remember it in the end and brought it with me.”
Scarlet sighed. “Have you thought of getting a bigger one though?” she asked. “Those two trees will soon swallow everything.”
Alex gave a dry laugh. “I do worry about that a little,” he said.
After some time, he told her he was leaving.
“It is time. I must get back soon,” Alex said.
Scarlet didn’t protest. “When will you come back?” she asked.
“After Pearl’s Trial is over,” Alex said. “It’s set for 10 years, and should start in a few months’ time. So it should be a decade later. I hope you will make some good progress during that time.”
“I will,” Scarlet said. “Take good care of yourself. Both of you. Don’t die in the Trial.”
Alex smiled. “It will be fine,” he said. With Bai Jingshen going, there was little to worry.
“Goodbye, sister,” Pearl said.
After the farewell, they met Senior Ningzhu who took them to the teleportation formation at the edge of the continent. From there, Alex and Pearl returned to the White Tiger’s Palace in no time at all.
Once back, Alex finally breathed in relief.
Now, he could get to his task in a safe space.
His first Creation-to-be.
Godslayer.
