Eternal Cultivation of Alchemy - Chapter 3058: God

Chapter 3058: God
Steelmind became the first Artifact God.
The announcement was made by the Sky God, immediately giving the fourteen new gods a status that was the highest among them all. The Sky God was technically higher than them, but that was only because he was considered the leader of the gods. Otherwise, they were each comparable to one another in status.
After the decision was made, they were given a few commands regarding what they had to do, the important one being that they had to show up for a match should someone worthy challenge them to a duel.
That would be the only way to pass along their title. If they failed to show up, their title would be passed to someone else.
They were also asked to show up at any meetings held in the Council of Gods, although this one wasn’t strictly required. Still, the more gods there were, the better decisions they could make together.
There were other responsibilities as well as benefits, which were passed along to the group of fourteen. As soon as that was done, Scarstone, the man who had just become the Formation God, stood up with a request.
“I have already become the monarch of the single continent that lies in the Five Elements realm. Since I hear that a god is allowed to change the name of the realm they stay in, I wish to ask if anyone objects to my decision to change its name.”
The Sky God thought for a moment. “No other gods live in the Five Elements realm, do they?” he asked.
“The previous Saber God had his cult set out from there, but he’s long since passed, so I don’t believe anyone else does,” the Formation Monarch said.
“Then you may change the name as you wish,” the Sky God said. “Would you mind if we asked what name you are considering renaming it to?”
The Formation Monarch nodded. “It will be my realm. The Formation Monarch’s realm.”
The various gods gave strange looks, while the Storm God snickered upon hearing that. The Formation God showed no emotion, looking only at the Sky God.
The Sky God shrugged. “Then that shall be its name,” he said. “Does anyone else wish to change the name of the realm they live in?”
The other gods shook their heads.
Steelmind couldn’t even accept such a question since the Golden Dao realm he operated from had been under the Golden God from the start. The older Golden God had died some time ago, but his disciple had taken over for nearly a hundred thousand years now and was safely the Golden God.
So, he couldn’t change the name even if he wanted to.
Once they were done with the meeting, the gods were allowed to return to their tasks. Some gods immediately flew off, while some stayed behind to talk for a moment.
The Fire God came to speak to Steelmind for a bit, thanking him for the crown once again. He spoke for some time before mentioning that they would have to separate now since Steelmind would have to return to the Sacred Lotus Dominion to head back to the Golden Dao realm, while the Fire God’s destination was Celestial Cradle.
“I am heading over to the Spirit Blossom realm first, but we must still separate since you’ll be heading to the Divine Thunderforge realm,” Steelmind said.
The Fire God paused for a moment. “You’re going to the Spirit Blossom realm?” he asked.
“I have a friend to meet.”
“Oh! That’s great. I am heading that same direction,” the Fire God said.
Steelmind was taken aback. “Won’t your trip take longer to return, your majesty?” he asked.
“No,” the Fire God said. “And please don’t call me that. Just call me Fire God or even Pyrelight, if you wish. We are the same now.”
It was hard to consider the Fire God the same as him. While he was only in the Late Divine Manifestation realm, the Fire God was already a Celestial. The fact that their god titles had put them on the same status was quite confusing.
Steelmind still got used to it and drew out the answer to what was confusing him. When he found out, he was surprised.
“A Void Gate?” Steelmind asked.
“Yes,” the Fire God said. “There’s one in the Divine Sanctuary realm that will take me to the outskirts of Celestial’s Cradle immediately. It’s far easier to take those minor Void Gate networks when you can to travel.”
Steelmind’s thoughts ran wild with the knowledge. He knew of Void Gates, but almost all of them were local ones, leading within the same realm. Ones that led outside of the realm were rare, and he had even begun to think those were not real.
It appeared that the reason why he had not heard about it was because it was a well-kept secret.
“I know of three myself,” the Fire God said. “Aside from that one, there’s one that takes you from the Five Elements realm to the Silver Soul realm, and another one that takes you from the Spirit Blossom realm to the outskirts of the Medicine World.”
Steelmind gave a curious look. “When you say outskirts…”
“One of the large rocks that floats out in space. It is usually close enough to see the world,” the Fire God explained.
“Ah!”
“There were more,” the Fire God said. “But they were destroyed in the war, especially the ones outside of the realm, mostly for the sake of defense. With the teleportation formations put together by the Sky God, I assume they won’t be used as much.”
Steelmind gave a soft smile. With the Void Gates in place, his return was going to be much swifter.
Those thoughts quickly disappeared as he flew off with the Fire God and soon made his way toward the teleportation formation that would lead them to the Spirit Blossom realm.
A genuine smile formed on his lips as he imagined how shocked Steelheart would be when he passed along the news that he had now become a god.
