Eternal Cultivation of Alchemy - Chapter 3064 Return from Break

Chapter 3064 Return from Break
As the Heaven receded away from the remote valley, Steelmind opened his eyes within his room, having finally reached the Divine Domain 8th realm. Finally, he had managed to break through to the next realm.
It was something to celebrate, but Steelmind couldn’t find the joy that should’ve been there.
‘I had to waste so many Immortal Tribulations just to get the Qi I needed to break through,’ he thought. ‘At this rate, I am just six tribulations away from dying. Sixty thousand more years!
He sighed. He either needed to find a good spot to gain a lot of natural Divine-grade Qi or find a way to become stronger than he already
was.
‘Damn Axiom! Stop evading me,’ he thought with a sigh.
He walked out of the room after some time and found Shen Yaojia working diligently on armor she was making. She was at the final stage where she just had to insert Qi lines into the armor, so she couldn’t divert her attention away.
Steelmind watched, a look of pride flashing through his eyes.
Shen Yaojia’s cultivation base was quite good. She was more talented than him, so she was already closing in on the Divine Manifestation realm despite being born eons after him.
Once she finished the armor, she put it to the side and turned toward him.
“Congratulations, Master. You are now so close to the Celestial realm,” she said.
Steelmind thanked her and moved into the room to look at the armor. He took the armor and scanned it from all sides. A look of disbelief flashed through his eyes before fading away.
“Honestly, how are you this good?” he asked.
Shen Yaojia’s faint smile grew wider. “It’s all thanks to you, Master. You’ve taught me all I know.”
“I know,” Steelmind said. “Still, this is surprising.”
He turned toward her. “Also, I haven’t taught you everything I know.”
Shen Yaojia’s eyes narrowed. “Is this about the inheritance you talked about?”
“Yes,” Steelmind said. “I will need to pass that on to you when I have the time. Even without it, you’re just as good as most of my own subordinates. The only thing you lack compared to them is your cultivation base and your experience, but even that is not something that will stay the same.”
Shen Yaojia grinned. “Will I get the inheritance soon?”
“Perhaps,” Steelmind said. “I’ve taught you what can be taught, but the remaining bits need to be taught practically. I will see if I can find a way to gain some Primordial beast’s body. It will be useful for you to learn.”
Shen Yaojia understood it would take some time, and she was okay with it. She began packing away their small training workshop as it was time for them to leave this place.
This time, she had decided to leave with her master no matter what. Tens of thousands of years had already passed since her father’s death, and she knew she couldn’t let his words stop her from what she wanted.
And since Steelmind had broken through, he would be leaving this world as well.
It was about time he returned to his station.
“The Defense God has a Void Gate we can take to go to the Medicine World,” Steelmind explained. “It will be an easy trip back.”
It was a simple journey, but when Steelmind arrived at the Defense God’s cult to use their Void Gate, he was stopped. The barrier covering the cult didn’t let up.
Even when he revealed to them who he was, he wasn’t shown the same deference that most people did. He looked around, confused. Was this how these people were supposed to react to a God’s arrival?
Shen Yaojia looked at everyone as well and whispered to Steelmind, “They all look on edge, like something is scaring them. Did something happen?”
Steelmind had the same thought and was about to ask out loud when a booming voice cut him off.
“Stand down! That is the Artifact God. Let him pass through.”
Finally, the people of the Defense God moved aside, and the massive barrier opened up, letting Steelmind and Shen Yaojia pass through.
Steelmind arrived at a large building where a muscular man with short blond hair stood with a disheveled look to him.
“Brother Ironwall, am I intruding on something?” Steelmind asked. “Or has the war taken a turn while I was gone?”
The man narrowed his eyes for a moment. “You don’t know?” he
asked.
Steelmind felt his heart sink a little. “No way! What happened? Did the
demons do something?” he asked.
“Not the demons,” the Defense God said. “Although, I wouldn’t be
surprised if he was working for them.”
“He?” Steelmind asked. “Who are we talking about?”
“The Artifact Sage,” the Defense God said. “The Sage of Ten Thousand
Treasures. He… he…”
Steelmind struggled to understand what the man was talking about. He had never heard about this sage or of any sage working for the
demons.
“What did he do?” he asked, expecting the worst. To Steelmind, the worst situation that could have happened was the Artifact Sage attacking a major group of soldiers at a critical point in a battle,
leading to the demons’ victory.
However, nothing could have prepared him for what the Defense God
was about to say.
“Have you really not heard? He killed the gods,” the Defense God said.
“Seven gods.”
Steelmind froze. “Seven… gods? How?”
“In the council. He was brought to trial for attacking and destroying
the Sword God’s body. He was being punished for his actions, but he decided to fight back and killed them.”
The Defense God was practically shaking.
“I had my strongest barrier on him, and he shattered it as if it was
made of glass,” his voice trembled as he spoke.
Steelmind gulped. “Who died?” he asked.
“The Sword God, Fire God, Ocean God, Poison God, Spear God, Whip
God, and most importantly, the Sky God.”
Steelmind could not believe the names. “The Sky God? The Sky God
died at the hand of a Sage?”
The Defense God nodded, his eyes still showing fear.
“He killed so many that the new Sky God has given him the title of
Godkiller.”
