Eternal Cultivation of Alchemy - Chapter 3065 Events of the Sky God's Palace

Chapter 3065 Events of the Sky God’s Palace
The Sky God might have been old, but he was the strongest god they had. Combined with his armor and weapon, his strength easily dwarfed even the closest god. This was a fact that everyone had come to accept very early on.
Beside him, there were other gods who were stronger than normal as well. These were gods that Steelmind had sometimes heard being called Half-Gods, although he didn’t technically understand what it meant yet.
These gods included the likes of the Ice God, Stone God, Fire God, and the rest.
And after them were the other gods who weren’t necessarily strong overall but were very talented in one aspect, be it battle or some other profession.
The being known as Godkiller had not just managed to kill the Sky God but six more gods. How was that possible?
“There was someone stronger than the Sky God? And including the Fire God and Ocean God, he killed three Half-Gods as well,’ Steelmind thought. The more he thought about it, the stranger the situation seemed.
Beside him, Shen Yaojia was much more confused than he was, but hearing that there was someone out there killing gods, she worried for her master.
“How is the situation? Is he captured? Should we help?” Steelmind asked.
“Help? Do you want to die?” Ironwall asked with a strange look on his face before remembering something. “No, wait. He’s gone. He left. He killed the gods and vanished.”
“He’s gone?” Steelmind asked. “Then shouldn’t we go help?”
The Defense God still shook his head. “He stole the treasures in the Sky God’s palace before leaving. And as if that was not all, he took away the giant Space Stone powering the teleportation formation there.”
“We gods had to leave the place in our ships. If you go there, you will be stuck now,” the Defense God said.
Steelmind found nothing to say.
The Defense God took him into his palace and gave a much more detailed explanation of the situation, including how they had antagonized the sage to force him to make an artifact for the Sword God.
“Where exactly have you been, brother Steelmind? The Sword God would’ve likely come to you were you around. In your absence, he went to the Artifact Sage, but his arrogance reached the sage before he did, and it nearly got himself killed. And then, the gods decided to come together and tried to punish him for his actions. God, we really had it coming.”
Hearing the Defense God’s recollection of the event and how easily this Sage-turned-Godkiller had torn through all offense and defense of every god, killing them in seconds, the thought was harrowing.
“Last I saw, the Sky God had been crippled and was aged very badly. That was over a decade ago. Even if he still is alive, he won’t be for much longer.”
“So the new Sky God is his disciple?” Steelmind asked.
“Newheaven will take up his throne. She will be the new leader of us gods, although I doubt she will be able to command the other gods like her master did. The Fire God has a disciple, so she should be taking command as well. As for the Ocean God, if the situation doesn’t end up like it did with the Fiend, his people will likely find one fitting to replace him.”
“Considering Wildvines has taken over the old Wood God as the new
Forest God, I fear it’s a new generation of gods. It is partially surprising how fast things changed because of one event,” the Defense God said.
Steelmind had a ton of different thoughts passing through his mind as he attempted to collect them in order. He had not only missed the rise of an Artifact Sage in the time he had spent teaching his disciple, but he had also missed the death of so many gods.
A pang of fear rang out from deep within him as he wondered if he might have died in that meeting had he been alive and decided to go there. Would he have been foolish enough to stay back and help
fight?
Steelmind never considered himself to be a coward, but maybe he would’ve run away if he saw those gods get killed so easily.
“What happens now?” he asked. “Do we just let him go?”
The Defense God laughed a little. “I’m not going to lie to you, brother. I have given this not a single thought. I am just happy to have gotten away with my life, and I will not be interacting with this Godkiller one bit. I will pray for whoever decides to go after him, but I want no part
of that.”
Seeing the Defense God-the man who should have the greatest barriers and defensive techniques-say something like that made Steelmind reconsider his own thoughts.
“So long as he doesn’t decide to come after the other gods,” Steelmind said absentmindedly, which caused the Defense God to nearly jump
out of his seat.
The man gulped a little and turned. “You wished to use our Void Gate, didn’t you? Come, let me take you to it.”
Steelmind nodded. “Thank you.”
The three walked away in silence. Shen Yaojia had no place to speak between the two gods, the Defense God did not want to speak, and Steelmind was simply lost in thought.
He arrived before the familiar Void Gate, ready to enter, when a thought came to him. He turned toward the Defense God.
“You mentioned that the Sword God wanted to make an artifact,
right? What was it that the Sky God decided to punish this sage by
forcing him to make it?”
The Defense God stopped for a moment. “Ah! Right, you haven’t heard about it, have you?” he asked.
“Heard about what?” Steelmind asked.
“The Sword God’s people managed to find the way to kill the Undying
God with the help of the Death God,” the Defense God said. “They
figured out the Fiend’s technique.”
Steelmind’s eyes widened sharply. “Really? What is it?”
“Darkness aura and Death aura,” the Defense God said. “Use them together, and you can kill the Undying God.”
