Eternal Cultivation of Alchemy - Chapter 3068 Death God's Situation

Chapter 3068 Death God’s Situation
“Would you mind telling me what is happening?” Steelmind asked, looking at the two who were finishing their adjustments.
The Alchemy God looked toward the Death God, letting her speak, as he didn’t want to accidentally reveal something she might have wanted to keep hidden.
“Well, I don’t know what I can really say,” Duskcorpse said. “As you can see, I am dying.”
Steelmind nodded, sensing the degrading Death aura from the
surroundings and even the woman herself. “That much I understand,” he said. “But that can’t be all of it, right? Of course, I won’t push you to say anything you don’t want to.”
“No, that’s fine,” Duskcorpse said. “I think it might be better if you heard my situation more closely.”
Steelmind raised an eyebrow. “Let’s not do that in the hallway. Please, follow me.”
The three gods made their way to a decadent waiting room made for the greatest customers the workshop would see. Once seated, Duskcorpse gave the explanation.
“I’m not sure if you are aware of this or not, but my body is naturally capable of creating Death aura,” she said.
Steelmind nodded, letting her continue.
“From a very young age, I’ve always been weak and close to death because of the aura. Thankfully, it was too weak to kill me, but that didn’t stop it from making my life harder. When I was a Saint, I managed to use it instead and learned the Death Dao.”
“By doing so, I managed to handle the Death aura my body created, and instead, it even powered me. Truthfully speaking, if not for that, I likely would not even have the strength to be a god.”
“However, lately, something changed. I was helping the Sword God- the late Sword God, I mean-with the Fiend’s technique through those recordings, and I managed to discern some sort of truth from it. I found how it could be used to help kill the Undying God.”
“Foolishly, I thought I could do it myself. I already had the Death aura, so all I would need was the Darkness aura. Sadly, I hadn’t realized what a mistake I was going to make.”
“By the time I realized something had gone wrong, something in my constitution was unlocked, and it started pouring more Death aura out of me than I could handle.”
Steelmind stared in awe. “You can’t control the Death aura?” he asked.
She shook her head. “I could at the start, but it’s been growing stronger.”
Steelmind looked toward the Alchemy God. “And you make pills for her to control her Death aura?”
“In a way,” the Alchemy God answered. “Her Death aura is close to Celestial rank, so my pills don’t do much. The most I can do is bring it down to a manageable level where she can take control of it again.”
“I see,” Steelmind said, with a thoughtful look on his face. “It was good that you guys found each other, then. Did you meet during the council?”
“No, actually,” the Alchemy God said. “She found me back in the Medicine World. She came looking to see if anyone could solve her issues. I couldn’t, but I could help control it. She recognized my skill and brought me to the Sky God, where I got my title.”
“Oh!” Steelmind said in surprise. “Are a lot of people in the Medicine World that talented? I’ve heard of there being powerful alchemists, but your talent seems to be on another level.”
The Alchemy God smiled. “Thank you, but I can’t take the credit, really. I am what I am thanks to my artifacts, and they were given to me by a senior long ago. I wish to someday find him again and thank
him for them. It is only after becoming a god that I’m understanding just how precious these artifacts are.”
“Someone helped you with your knowledge? He must’ve been a powerful alchemist, then,” Steelmind said.
“I think so, but I haven’t heard about him at all, so I’m not sure where
to even search for him,” the Alchemy God said.
“It is possible he might’ve died,” Steelmind said.
“I hope not,” the Alchemy God said, with a saddened tone. “I would wish to meet him at least once so that I could give him my sincerest thanks. But it’s been so many years that I don’t know if I can keep up my hope.”
“How long ago was this?” Steelmind asked. “You look rather young to my eyes, if you don’t mind me saying that.”
“Oh no, that’s fine. Everyone says I’m young,” the Alchemy God said. “I guess I have that type of face, even though I have been alive for nearly 20,000 years now.”
Steelmind remained dumbfounded, unable to think of what to say. He looked at the man before him and then turned toward the woman, who shrugged. She seemed to be thinking the same thing he was. “Uhh… that is quite young,” he said. “Twenty thousand years old, and you’re already a god. No, wait, when did you get the title again?” “Some 13,000 years ago, I believe,” the Alchemy God said. “I was 7,000 years old when I received the call to the Sky God’s palace.” Steelmind slowly shook his head in disbelief. “This world truly does have hidden monsters everywhere,” he said with a sigh.
Duskcorpse chuckled lightly to the side.
The Alchemy God smiled. “I must attribute it all to my benefactor.”
Steelmind found the young man interesting. “Oh right, do you mind me asking something regarding your alchemy skills?” he asked.
“No, please go ahead,” the Alchemy God said.
“The reports I have received regarding you say that you have a knowledge of alchemy like no other. But each one also mentions that if you had better talents and skills, you would be the greatest,” he said. “But from what I can see, you truly do have it all. So, were those reports a mistake?”
The Alchemy God’s smile grew wider, this time turning proud. “They weren’t a mistake,” he said.
“Just three millennia ago, it would’ve been the same. But upon my return from the Realm within Realms, I have evolved my alchemy
skills.”
