Eternal Cultivation of Alchemy - Chapter 3148 Spear...

Chapter 3148 Spear…
The bear saw the flicker of light that appeared next to it, but it disappeared just as quickly too, making it wonder what that was. Then it appeared again, flickering on the left side before disappearing.
The confusion inside the beast increased.
A painful prick landed on the bear’s back, and when it sensed the region, it saw a thin line on its hide that had been cut through.
Another prick appeared on its elbow at the next moment, causing the bear to be worried now.
The flickering light around it increased. One became two, which then became five, and then ten. They increased slowly, while a grin appeared on Pearl’s face.
It took the bear a few moments to realize that the pricks it was feeling all over its body had been from these flickering lights.
Immediately, it moved away from Pearl, keeping a distance.
“What… what is that?” the bear asked, but no one would answer it. No one had any idea.
Pearl put down his spear, knowing that he could not focus on his spear while he focused on this. He willed his new Spear Qi to come out even more, willed their numbers to increase. Even in his situation, he could not make any more than 20 at a time.
Considering he had barely any control of his mind, this was the most his newly formed Spear Domain could handle. But that would have to be enough for him.
The bear stayed far away from Pearl and sent out its attacks from there. A large illusory mountain appeared as it used one of its strongest attacks to kill Pearl at once.
Pearl stared at the mountain that appeared on top of him and took a deep breath. His legs bulged as he pushed against the ground, flying
toward the mountain.
The Spear Qi in Pearl’s Spear Domain gathered at the front, and Pearl stabbed with his spear at the same time, tearing through the mountain, coming out on the other side.
The bear’s attack was destroyed, and Pearl fell back toward the ground. Only this time, he knew where he wanted to land.
Spear Domain gathered behind Pearl, attacking at his feet. Pearl used the force of his own domain to propel himself toward the female bear, wishing to end it right then and there.
Before he landed, though, the other bear appeared before its kin and prepared a large defensive technique to protect the both of them.
Pearl didn’t hold back. With all the power he could muster from both his body and mind, Pearl pushed himself to his limit in that moment and slammed his spear onto the barrier.
The spear met the barrier in a deafening boom that threw both Pearl and the two bears back on the opposite side. The bear had been defending, so not much happened to the two, but Pearl was flung back far away, where he crashed onto a tree.
The female bear still kept her gaze on Pearl, focusing on him entirely even though he was out of her vision.
Pearl climbed back out of the tree and slowly walked toward the two bears. The flickering Spear Qi surrounding him had been gone entirely now. It was just him.
The bear smiled, knowing it could beat him without the weird thing it had never seen before. However, before it could start attacking, it noticed something. Its eyes slowly widened as blood drained from its face.
“S-Sister!” it said in a panic. “Your technique! You’re using it right?”
The female bear did not understand what its brother meant. The technique was still very much active. The explosive shockwave had
distracted it for a second earlier, causing it to drop the technique momentarily, but that was all. It returned right back to using the technique.
Only… now that the female bear was looking at Pearl, it noticed some abnormalities.
Pearl no longer dragged himself as he walked. His body was upright, as if no muscle in his body was relaxed. A faint smile lay on his face, and not a single look of anguish.
Pearl lay his spear on his shoulder, looking at the two bears.
The weaker bear attacked in that moment, large earth spikes jutting out toward Pearl.
The spikes erupted right where Pearl stood, however they failed to hurt him. A golden barrier protected him from the attacks, then
disappeared once it had done its job.
“How… how did you…” the bear could not believe its eyes.
Pearl stepped forward. “It’s over,” he said, looking toward the two bears. “You’ve lost.”
The female bear’s eyes widened and she focused even more on using her technique, but nothing she did seemed to affect Pearl at all. His access to his Qi, mind, and body had been returned as if nothing had been affected to begin with.
The woman could not understand what had happened at all. Nothing made sense.
“I won’t kill you,” Pearl said. “We only fought because you wanted to kill someone and I wanted to protect him. But he’s decided to turn tail
and run away.”
A look of anger flashed on Pearl’s face. “He decided to escape instead of helping me,” he said. “If you wish to go hunt him down, I won’t stop
you.”
The weaker bear looked toward his sister for help, but she would not
recover in time if the fight was to drag on.
“We can leave?” it asked, not trusting Pearl’s words.
Pearl nodded. “You may leave. As of right now, I hold a degree of
gratitude toward the two of you for helping me form my Spear Domain. You should leave while I’m still grateful.”
“We’ll leave.”
The bear gave no time for Pearl to reconsider and took its sister
before running away.
Pearl waited for a while to make sure he was safe, and finally undid his Spirit Reversal technique. His body sagged and he seemed extremely weak. So much of his Qi had been drained for him to fight
against the female bear’s technique.
“Still, I can’t be mad,” he thought, looking down at his spear, while a smile formed on his face.
“I finally learned my Spear Domain.”
