Eternal Cultivation of Alchemy - Chapter 3315 Delivering the Message

Chapter 3315 Delivering the Message
Pearl left with Bai Jingshen, arriving at a secular courtyard they had stayed at before starting the trial. Bai Jingshen had stayed there since then, waiting for them all to return.
Once they were there, Pearl explained everything to Bai Jingshen, starting from the trial all the way until the end.
He talked about the existence of the remnant of the Three-Legged Crow who was in charge of the three trials. He then talked about the other two beasts whose cores they had received in order to make their Creation.
That was surprising for Bai Jingshen, but that was only the start.
Hearing that the Sun God and Moon Goddess were the Dragon Father and Phoenix Mother, and that their corpses were still present at the center of the hill, had come as a much bigger surprise for Bai Jingshen.
As the two beasts were considered the progenitors of all beasts in various records, he hadn’t expected the two to be the same gods he thought had blessed them as well.
Pearl relayed the fact that those corpses were now gone, their forms turning into energy that became the Sun God and Moon Goddess, who then tried to take over the two humans.
Bai Jingshen’s face could not show any more emotion when he came to learn that, and then Pearl dropped the bigger news.
Alex sealed the Sun God in his own body, and Shumi became the Moon Goddess.
The fact that the Sun God had actually not wanted to help Alex become the next Sun God, but instead wanted to use his body as a vessel to be reborn, had come as a horrifying surprise to him. He had always expected Alex to be the next god, so he hadn’t even considered this could be possible.
Bai Jingshen quickly fell into thought, confused by the information that contradicted itself. He tried going through everything he knew and looking at it from a different perspective.
Had he been helping Alex all this time not because he was the Sun God, but because he was to be the vessel of the Sun God?
As he thought about it, it was clear that both of those would inherently have him do the same thing. He would have to help Alex get up to this stage so he may become the Sun God.
Everything fit into place perfectly even with this new information that Pearl had brought back.
Except one.
‘If the Sun God wasn’t meant to be Alex but the original Sun God, then what is the point of my master’s tomb?’ Bai Jingshen thought. “The original Sun God would have to know everything already. What truth is there left for him to dispense?”
That alone shattered all possibilities that the Sun God was always meant to be the Sun God. It was likely his master didn’t know either and believed a human would become the next Sun God.
‘Actually…’ Bai Jingshen realized something. ‘In a way, he has. Even though the Sun God did use him like a vessel, he came out of it unharmed. And now the Sun God is sealed away and only he remains!
So, in a convoluted way, his master was right.
Bai Jingshen had no idea if his master had intended for things to work this way, but they had. So it did not matter anymore.
“What are the chances of the Sun God’s seal breaking?” Bai Jingshen asked.
Pearl shook his head. “Not a lot. Unless brother himself breaks the seal, it should be impossible. Or so he says.”
“Okay,” Bai Jingshen said. “Then we stop talking about it starting today. If other beasts find out that there’s a way for the god to return,
especially the Heavenly Beasts, they might find a way to force Alex to break his seal.”
“Brother wouldn’t do it,” Pearl quickly said. “Why would he-“
“What if they took you hostage and threatened to kill you?” Bai Jingshen asked. “Or Whisker. Or Scarlet. Would he still stand around and keep the Sun God sealed away?”
Pearl’s eyes widened slowly. He hadn’t even begun to consider such possibilities. “I see. So we can’t talk about this anymore.”
Bai Jingshen nodded. “That’s it then,” he said, taking a deep breath.
The two talked for some time before Pearl told him about the message they had to deliver.
Thankfully, Shumi had given Pearl her communication talisman, so Pearl quickly contacted Fairy Xin and called her over to their
courtyard.
Half an hour later, a large white wolf arrived inside their courtyard
before taking off her amulet to turn back into her human form.
“Greetings. I am Xin Guomei, disciple of the Glacial Blade,” Fairy Xin introduced herself.
Bai Jingshen raised an eyebrow. “Greetings, Fairy Xin. I am Bai Jingshen, and this is my great-grandson, Pearl.”
Pearl bowed slightly.
Bai Jingshen continued. “I must say, I’m surprised to hear that the
Glacial Blade has a disciple.”
Fairy Xin said nothing, her expression unable to be seen through the
veil she wore.
Pearl took out the talisman and handed it over. “Sister Shumi is worried that you would be concerned over her disappearance needlessly, so I was sent back to deliver this letter to you. She should have explained it all in there.”
Fairy Xin took the talisman with a gentle hand and read through it
right there. A minute later, her body shook slightly as if in shock.
“Is it true?” she asked. “Did you see it?”
“If it is about the Moon Goddess, then yes,” Pearl said.
“Thank you,” the woman said. “Please do not spread this news to anyone else. I beg of you two.”
Bai Jingshen nodded. “We have no intention.”
With a curt nod, Fairy Xin left the courtyard.
She was gone for a long time before Pearl turned to his grandfather.
“Who is the Glacial Blade?” he asked.
“A Celestial Demon,” Bai Jingshen explained. “Master of ice and sword. One of the strongest living beings in all the Immortal Realms.”
Pearl stared blankly in shock.
“If this Shumi calls this woman her sister, then she too must be a disciple of the Glacial Blade as well.”
