Eternal Cultivation of Alchemy - Chapter 3320 Filling the 7th Origin

Chapter 3320 Filling the 7th Origin
The blinding white sun began melting the dirt on the hill. Lava slowly poured down the sides as the sun lay floating where it was created, over a hundred meters high from the ground level.
The entire area was now lit up like a bright and sunny day, the hot rays making one feel as though it was summer.
Alex slowly stood up from the spot he was at, forgetting about the Void opening he was absorbing from for the moment. He moved toward the miniature sun to view it more closely.
At the same time, Shumi stepped away from the sun, already feeling it weaken her somewhat. It was no different than when she was with the Nine Yang Divine Tree, the Yin in her surroundings stripped away by it.
As Alex approached the sun, he could feel something similar to when he was out in space, where the light from the sun destroyed Qi surrounding his body. It was a much weaker version of what happened outside, but not so much weaker that he could be careless.
He was only halfway up to the top of the hill when the difference between being there and out in space was practically the same. In fact, the heat here was much higher.
Alex stepped on the lava and walked up closer. Even as his body was slowly being destroyed by this sun, he still continued moving up.
“Master,” Ray spoke as Alex got closer. “This… this wasn’t what I expected to make.”
Alex turned toward the crow. “You look worried,” he said. “Why is that?”
“Well, this will be something difficult to absorb after all,” he said. “With how destructive this is, you will die if you stay here for too long.”
Alex shook his head. “I have ways to keep myself alive.”
His Undying Physique was in constant action, healing from the sun’s damage again and again. The closer he got, the greater the damage was, causing him to use up more of his Qi.
Thankfully, that didn’t matter to Alex.
He brought out a poison and quickly ate it before the sun could destroy it. Then, he sat with his legs crossed, floating next to the sun as he began absorbing the aura that came from it.
His 7th Origin, which had been empty for some time, began filling up with the aura. And with how much energy was being constantly pumped out of the sun, there was way more aura here than what seeped out of a Void’s opening.
Because the space on the outside pushed into any opening made to the Void, a certain section on the inside was usually free of all time and space aura. So, what leaked out was usually much weaker in aura than the main thing.
Here, however, there was no such issue blocking the aura. Everything the sun had was being pumped out of it, and Alex absorbed every single instance of it. With Ray keeping the sun alive using the energy from the dead Primordials, it would keep burning forever on its own.
All Alex had to worry about was his own body, which he could heal so long as he had Qi, and it would be a long time before he ran out of it. Shumi could only watch with a stunned face as she barely saw Alex through the brightness of the sun, sitting before it to absorb its aura. Seeing him absorb the Void had already come as a shock to her a few days ago. And just days later, he was shocking her again with this. What could he not do?
She sat far enough away where it was no different than being outside at noon. There was still some destructive aspect, but her Yin veil worked against it, so she didn’t have to outright leave the mountain barrier.
Shumi had no doubt that Alex was absorbing the sun’s aura despite
being constantly blasted with its destructive power, so she knew he would move away sometime soon.
She figured that it would take him no more than a day before he returned to where she was. That was with consideration for all the other things he could eat to create more Qi.
Those Qi still had to be cultivated before they could be put to good use, so she came to the conclusion that Alex could only last a day in total before he had to leave to recover.
However, even as the day came to pass, Alex was right where he was and showed no sign of having to leave.
Shumi couldn’t help but be surprised again. She couldn’t imagine how her calculations had been so wrong. If this were pure Yang, then she would understand how he could continue forever, but this was the
sun.
How was he holding on?
Shumi couldn’t tell where the mistake in her calculation was, or if she had somehow underestimated the Sun God’s body now that it had evolved. She then wondered if Alex would take an entire two days instead of just the one.
And yet, even as the second day came to pass, Alex didn’t move.
If not for Alex constantly floating there with the aid of his own Qi, Shumi would’ve been worried that something bad had happened.
Another day passed, and then another.
A total of 8 days passed before Alex finally moved away from the sun, asking Ray to erect a barrier around it for now to protect the others
from it.
Ray accepted the command and did so with great haste.
A yellow flame barrier surrounded the sun, keeping the heat and light
from spilling outside.
He walked down the hill, still seeming quite lively.
Shumi watched him walk all the way down to where she was before
asking the question that had been plaguing her mind since the start.
“How did you do it?” she asked. “How did you survive 8 days in such close proximity to that sun?”
Alex raised an eyebrow for a moment. “Oh! I haven’t told you, have I?” he asked. “I have the Undying God’s Physique.”
