Eternal Cultivation of Alchemy - Chapter 3364 Shapeless

Chapter 3364 Shapeless
Coldburst grabbed onto her Creation, the ball of Yin Water, as if it were a random piece of rock floating next to her, and chucked it at Alex.
The action had been so absurd that Alex nearly forgot to respond. The fact that someone would dare use their Creation as something to grab and throw was something he wouldn’t have ever predicted.
Creations were so rare and incredible that it was hard to imagine someone handling one with so little care.
Alex’s reply to the attack was a single sword slash that contained the power of his Sword Domain. The many Sword Qi in his domain
concentrated on the ball of Yin Water, striking it together with the sword slash.
The result was not an explosion of energy as Alex would’ve expected, or a massive spray of Yin Water in all directions.
Instead, his attacks merely wilted away against the coldness of the Yin Water, seemingly dying even as Alex continued forming more Sword Domain to keep it from coming at him.
His Spiritual Sense didn’t work on the Yin Water as it was a Creation, but he could almost tell that his Sword Qi were dying within the Yin, not similar to how Shumi’s Yin Veil functioned.
Whether this was because of the Yin or the fact that it was a Creation, he couldn’t tell.
The ball lost momentum in the end, simply falling onto the floor.
Where it landed, ice spread around in a snowflake pattern, covering nearly half the arena as ice crystals began growing out of the pure coldness.
Alex could only imagine what would happen if such cold were to touch him. Surely, there was only one thing he could do.
Coldburst seemed unfazed by the entire exchange, as if she had expected her first attack to be blocked. Yin Water formed around her again, forming a wobbling sphere of the liquid.
At the Divine Creation realm, Creations functioned differently based on what they were. A Dependent Creation would allow one to use their Creation inside an object, but an Independent Creation could be created to have a solid form.
Even though that was the case, not all Independent Creations were created equal. In cases of certain Creations that had no specific shape, the Creation one could form in the Divine Creation realm would usually be nothing more than a blob of liquid or a cloud of gas. To properly give it shape, one needed to be in the Divine
Manifestation realm.
For that precise reason, Coldburst could do nothing more with her Yin Water Creation than use it as it was, which she did again by grabbing onto it and tossing it at Alex again.
Even as the ball of Yin Water left her hand, a multitude of thoughts ran across Alex’s mind in that instant. The first clash was enough for him to understand the properties of the Yin Water and understand how dangerous it was. Even his sword attacks were not enough to harm it.
His current strength with the sword was around Divine Creation 4th realm, so it was incredible that he was struggling to win against her with that.
‘Is it because of her battle power? Or is it because Creations are just that strong?’ Alex wondered. It was likely the latter. The coldness of the Creation was simply unnatural and could’ve only come from a treasure, perhaps something similar to the Yin Bead.
Understanding what he was up against, Alex quickly came to a decision.
To fight the Yin, he needed Yang. For the water, he needed fire. For the cold, he needed heat.
His sword immediately blazed with the power of his True Fire Dao, while at the same time taking in the Dao of Yang and Yang Heat. His sword immediately glowed with a bright yellow color as the energies coalesced around it, and he used a slightly modified version of one of his self-made techniques.
True Immolation Strike
An imperceptible line of yellow flew across the arena as it landed on the incoming ball of Yin Water. The moment the two attacks clashed, the expected explosion occurred.
BOOM!
The ground shook underneath Alex, the force of the shockwave nearly pushing him back onto the ground. Heat and cold both came in waves as neither seemed to want to concede at all.
Coldburst winced slightly, taking a step back unintentionally. She slammed her tail, balancing herself, and glanced back at the aftermath
with a pained look on her face.
She couldn’t believe it. He had actually destroyed her Creation? An Immortal?
It wasn’t just her that was surprised. Each and every dragon standing around looked at the situation with an awestruck expression. No one there had expected Alex to do much against the Divinity after all.
They had expected him to struggle, and instead he went toe to toe with his opponent.
Alex saw Coldburst’s momentary stumble and realized something that he should have thought about the moment he started fighting. While Coldburst had yet to be directly hit, she was getting wounded from his attack, as someone’s Creation was a manifestation of their soul. Hurting their Creation was the same as hurting their soul.
‘Destroying someone’s Creation should be enough to knock a person out entirely,’ Alex thought. ‘But she’s still awake and alert!
He couldn’t help but frown. What was different? What was he
missing?
“There is no way that’s not her Creation, right? No, that is definitely her Creation. But then, how is she still standing when I destroyed her
entire Creation?’
There could only be one possibility in that instance.
“That was not her entire Creation, Alex thought.
Considering the shapeless nature of the Yin Water, there would
technically be no ‘whole’ version of the Creation. So, she could create as much of it as she wished.
‘Interesting. So a shapeless Creation is somewhere between an Independent and a Dependent Creation then?” Alex thought. He too had two shapeless Creations in Yellow Fog and Godslayer, so Alex looked forward to working with those.
For now, his thoughts returned to the battle, as the dragon was no doubt going to increase the intensity of her attacks.
