Eternal Cultivation of Alchemy - Chapter 3385: In A Week

Chapter 3385: In A Week
Scarlet hid away in Alex’s Soul Space again. She would rather stay there than be around the other beasts as a human, which would only draw more looks. Until she was in the human realms, she wasn’t safe.
Whisker went with her and quickly got busy with the tons of water that Alex had gotten from the Two Scars back in the Twin Scar Realm. With that water, they could start establishing some ponds and streams, and more importantly, turn most of the barren land habitable again.
Alex hoped to make the entire massive realm within his Soul Space into an alchemy garden. That would take a long time.
In the meantime, just making the barren land hospitable for life alone would be more than enough. There was another problem with that secret realm that he wasn’t sure how he could fix.
Because the land was now much larger, the Nine Yang Divine Tree wasn’t enough to reach all ends of the secret realm. It wouldn’t be much of a problem right now, but in time, the lack of sunlight would be a burden for most of the plants he intended to grow there. Once he was gone from here, he would have to plan some sort of formation, maybe.
Once Alex arrived back in the White Tiger Palace, he immediately had Bai Jingshen figure out when they were going to leave.
With Bai Jingshen gone, Alex and Pearl returned to the outer palace where Pearl’s room lay. Because Pearl hadn’t passed his trial, he couldn’t get a room in the main palace and thus had to stay outside.
With Alex’s current status, he could easily get himself a room inside the palace, but he had no intention of using his reputation that way. Besides, it was just a few days anyway. Soon, he would be gone.
Pearl left in order to rest and cultivate. They had been traveling all over the continents for a while, so he wanted to take some time for himself. He would also have to say his goodbyes to the rest of his family soon, so this was the bit of alone time he was going to get.
Alex left for his own room and began cultivating as well.
Bai Jingshen didn’t return for an entire day and only came around the next morning.
“Good news. You can leave anytime you want to,” he said as soon as he came inside.
“Really?” Alex asked in some surprise.
Bai Jingshen nodded. “It appears that the teleportation formation was last used a little over nine years ago, so it has been enough time to use it again. On schedule, they would use it around three months from now, but the Patriarch has made it so that they will accommodate you whenever you wish to leave.”
Alex let out a deep sigh of relief. He had been worried that he might have missed the last teleportation by mere months, so he would have to wait for a whole decade, or whenever it was feasible for them to activate the formation again. But thankfully, he could leave tomorrow if he wanted to.
“Let’s do it in a week from now then,” Alex said after some thought. “It will give us some time to cultivate and prepare, and Pearl can spend a few days with his family before he leaves too.”
Pearl couldn’t help but smile. “Thanks, brother.”
“That sounds fine,” Bai Jingshen said with a strange look on his face. “And there is another thing.”
Alex turned, waiting for the tiger to continue speaking.
“Try not to leave the palace if you don’t have to. The atmosphere around here is a little… strange. Even Aunt Fulin has noted that there is a strange sense of tension in the air around the palace, so for the sake of your own safety, don’t leave this place unless I’m there to get you.”
Pearl frowned. “What is happening in the palace?”
“No idea. Just be safe,” Bai Jingshen said. “Stay here if you can. If someone does anything in these palaces, the guards are notified immediately, so you will be safe. It’s just one week anyway.”
Pearl accepted that. “I haven’t met my grandmas yet,” he said. “I should meet them once I’m done cultivating. I’m sure Whisker wants to do the same as well.”
Alex nodded. “I should say my farewell to everyone as well. Let’s hold some sort of farewell event in the coming days once we’re rested enough.”
Bai Jingshen laughed. “I’ll let everyone know. I’ll come get you all in four days’ time.”
Pearl and Alex nodded.
Once Bai Jingshen left them, the two returned to their cultivation sessions. Sadly, this still didn’t count as a proper rest, as it would be for less than a week. Alex imagined that the only time he could properly rest was once he reached the human realms and found his master.
It would obviously take a while for the teleportation formation to the Sky God’s Palace to be usable, so that small gap where they would have to wait would be their true moment of peace.
The next few days passed by in a flash. Before Alex could even finish a proper cultivation session, Bai Jingshen returned to get the two of them as the event he had promised had been set up.
“Come on. Everyone is waiting for you two now,” Bai Jingshen said as he called for them.
Alex and Pearl finally left, along with Whisker, who too had come out. Scarlet was given the option to enjoy the farewell event as well, but it appeared that she did not believe herself to need this.
She didn’t know the people well enough, so she would rather stay inside the Soul Space. The only time she would come out would be when her mother and grandfather came to meet her before their departure.
With that decided, Alex and the rest walked out of the small palace and made their way through the White Tiger Palace to enter the main palace where the celebration was being held.
