Eternal Cultivation of Alchemy - Chapter 3429: Plans for the Demon Realm

Chapter 3429: Plans for the Demon Realm
Battlesage explained his intentions with the island inside Alex’s Soul Space.
“With the original Demon Realm in the center, we create an expanding aura of Temporal Swiftness where time moves at a much faster pace,” he explained. “And instead of creating any specific space where it occurs, we make it so that it’s everywhere.”
Alex couldn’t help but blink in surprise. “The entire realm? That’s going to take a lot of energy, isn’t it?” he asked.
“I asked Ray,” Whisker said. “He said anything we can come up with can be empowered using the energy inside. It might even be much stronger than before.”
Alex scratched his chin and gestured for the old man to continue.
“So the center of the island is going to have the most temporal speed to it, and since it won’t be constrained to a single location, one can just walk in there and start cultivating. Or you could grow any plant you want in there.”
“However, that speed won’t end abruptly. Instead, it will taper off slowly the further out from the center of the island we go, until halfway through, it becomes nothing and the Temporal Swiftness ends.”
Alex had his eyes wide in astonishment at what the two had come up with. Instead of creating any single chamber that had time sped up, these two had decided to make that happen with the entire land as a whole.
“How fast will it be?” he asked.
“We can’t tell that right now,” the old man said. “But it’s supposed to be faster than it was in the past. Just the energy we will be using alone will make that happen.”
Alex nodded, falling into thought. The old cultivation chambers could increase a single day to become a month, so if this was going to be even more than that, then it was truly an incredible idea.
“Even if it is half as good as it was, but spread across the area like you said it will be, I will have already been satisfied,” Alex said. “And you say it’s going to be much better than this. I can’t imagine how great it will be in the end.”
Both Whisker and the old man smiled, each proud of what they had planned.
“Still,” Alex added, “I’m a little saddened that we’ll be losing the Timeless Palace. Is it not possible to use the scripts that are there in the room already?”
The old man shook his head. “If it were that simple, I wouldn’t have worked this hard. The runes that were used there are rather crude, if I dare say so myself. The idea itself is incredible, but the execution of it could be better. So, it is much better if I were to redo it all myself.”
Alex nodded slowly. He trusted the old man far too much when it came to runes and scripts, so he trusted his words unconditionally. “Then it is truly a shame.”
The old man grinned. “No, it’s not.”
Alex looked up. “Why not?”
“Because I’m not done explaining everything.”
Alex gave a confused look. “What do you mean?” he asked.
“Our plan,” the old man explained. “The center of the island will get to enjoy a lot of time in a short amount of true time, and it will lessen as it spreads out, until the time in that region and the true time are equal. However, that will only be until a certain range. Beyond that, the system will flip in the other direction, and time will start moving slower for everyone out there, becoming stronger as it approaches the outer edge.”
Alex’s eyes were wide. “You… you can make that happen?” he asked.
“It’s a simple principle that was used by the creator of these formations in the past. Instead of using energy to force time to move at a different speed, which would require a lot of energy, we’re instead taking time away from one location and giving it to the other. That way, we won’t have to spend any energy to create something, and instead spend a much smaller portion in simply maintaining the balance.”
Alex was quite taken aback by the whole thing. He hadn’t realized that these two had thought up a possibility so grand that it would encompass the entire massive island inside his Soul Space.
All this time, he had assumed that only the mountain where the Timeless Palace was previously would be affected even when changing it all, but from the sound of it, it was going to cover a much larger land.
“This will cause some trouble to the status quo of the things inside the secret realm,” Alex said in a thoughtful stance.
“Yes. You’ll have to decide where everything goes. Especially those plants. You can’t have them grow in the center of the island,” the old man explained. “If you give those two greedy plants the chance to absorb energy while within a space that gives them ample time, they will ruin your entire Soul Space.”
Alex nodded slightly, understanding that the old man was correct.
“The World Tree might be better than that for this,” Alex said. “She understands me and listens to me, so she likely won’t make any problems. But, the Nine Yang Divine Tree is an entirely different issue. It doesn’t listen to me as well, so it truly might suck away all the energy if we give it the time.”
Whisker looked toward Alex. “What do we do with it then?” he asked.
Alex wasn’t sure. The only thing they could do was move the plant away. But that would mean depriving the most significant portion of his land of sunlight.
And if that were to happen, then all of his ideas about growing his own alchemy ingredients would all go up in flames.
Alex sighed, realizing the tree was an issue he couldn’t fix so easily. It wasn’t as if he could just replace it with another—
Alex paused, a thought coming to him suddenly.
“Wait… I can replace it,” he thought with a wide smile forming on his face. “I already have another sun.”
