Eternal Cultivation of Alchemy - Chapter 3438: Divine Sense Release

Chapter 3438: Divine Sense Release
Bladedance entered Alex’s Soul Space and arrived at the new island. Her eyes widened in surprise at the size of what she saw.
’I really thought that kid was exaggerating. But this is seriously big,’ she thought. Even with her Divine Sense fully kept in, she could easily tell that there were a lot of new things added to the world.
She thought of flying to take a better look at everything, but something stopped her.
A blinding light appeared before her suddenly, and out of the bright yellow fire formed a bird.
Ray landed before her at a medium size and gave a small bow. “You must be my master’s master,” he said. “You are welcome here.”
Bladedance looked down at the fire bird before her, a little surprised. “What are you?” she asked, having not expected Alex to have something like this in his Soul Space. He hadn’t told her anything about it until now either.
“His name is Ray,” Alex’s voice came from the sky in that moment. “As for who he is, he is the spirit formed from the beast core of the deceased Primordial, Three-Legged Crow.”
Alex’s explanation came so suddenly that it took Bladedance a couple of seconds to process everything he had said. “Wait, what?” she asked, only now fully comprehending his words. “He is who?”
“The remnant of the Sun Crow,” Alex said again. “Not dissimilar to the Guardian Tiger we met back in Hell.”
Bladedance’s eyes remained wide open for a while as she stared at the fiery beast before her. “Did I hear something wrong?” she asked. “He just called you master.”
“Yes,” Alex said quickly. “That’s because I am his master. I formed a bond with him.”
Bladedance didn’t think her disciple could shock her anymore, and yet he continued proving her wrong each time. “You formed a bond with the remnant of a Primordial? How the hell is that even possible? In the first place, is it possible to form bonds with spirits?”
Alex hadn’t thought about that. “I’m not sure if it’s possible or not. In my case, I happened to use the True God’s energy to form the bond. It didn’t even affect my soul because of that.”
Bladedance continued looking at Ray, not sure how to feel about the presence of a Primordial before her. She gulped a little before giving it another nod in respect.
“Ray, leave her be for now. Let her see the place on her own,” Alex commanded, and the beast acquiesced.
Ray disappeared suddenly, leaving Bladedance alone.
Bladedance finally seemed to grab hold of herself. “He was the one guarding the trial you were on before?” she asked.
“Yes,” Alex explained. “I thought of telling you that he was bonded to me back then, but I decided to keep it a secret until now. I wanted to surprise you.”
Bladedance rubbed her forehead. “I should know by now that every conversation I have with you has some surprise hiding within it,” she said, before looking up. She flew slowly, trying not to place a burden on Alex’s mind as much as she could.
Up in the air, she had a better vantage point over the entire island, and only then did she see its true size. She could not believe for a second that there was a place inside her disciple’s Soul Space that was this big. And from the looks of it, he could accept so much more.
Alex gave an account of how many islands he added, the size of it all, and what those islands previously held. The only islands worth talking about were the ones with the poison plants, which weren’t that many to begin with. Alex also told her about the various rivers and lake systems they had later created, filled now with the water from the Twin Scar realm, which contained some energy from the dead Flood Dragon and Qilin.
“You probably can’t sense it right now, but the entire area around you is filled with the energy left behind by the two Primordials who sacrificed themselves,” Alex explained.
“The Raindragon and the Phoenix?” she asked as she recalled what Alex had told her.
“Yes. Do you want to sense it? I will try my best to hold on if you want to release your Divine Sense,” Alex said.
Bladedance was quite tempted. “Start counting. I will stop the moment you stop counting.”
Alex nodded and started. “1, 2, 3…”
Bladedance slowly released her Divine Sense as thin as she could. Little by little, she touched the air surrounding herself.
“8, 9, 10…”
Immediately, she sensed the presence of a foreign energy that she had never truly sensed before. She could tell that it was a powerful energy, but beyond that, she hadn’t the faintest clue as to what it was.
“14.”
She tried to take a better look at the energy, but immediately realized that Alex had stopped counting. Without hesitation, she took her Divine Sense back into her body.
“Are you okay?” she asked.
“Yes,” Alex said in a weak voice. “I’m sorry. The pain came out of nowhere. I couldn’t even warn you.”
“That’s fine. You did well.”
“Did you find anything about it?” Alex asked. “Have you ever sensed something like this before?”
“Never,” Bladedance said. “But I also didn’t get a closer look, so I can’t tell precisely.”
“Hmm,” Alex thought for a bit. “Oh, right. The water has a similar energy, so I can give you some to look over later.”
Bladedance nodded. “That works. Does this energy do something, though? How do you use it?” she asked.
“The energy slowly turns into God Qi, which is so volatile currently that it directly splits into Celestial Qi. Ray can then use the Celestial Qi to run all the functions of the various islands,” Alex said. “Including the defense of the island. With the use of this energy, he is capable of killing even Celestials.”
Bladedance stared at nothing in particular with wide eyes.
“Are you serious?”
