- Chapter 2965 1621: The Gate That Opens

“At your command, my Lord!”
Upon hearing Leo Ray’s words, the strong warriors tightened their grip on their weapons. Hollis, Rax, and Payton, the three half-giant physical-type powerhouses, led the formation for exploration.
As the group approached the ancient wooden door, it opened with a creaking sound.
At the moment the door opened, Sheila, sitting in her Little Elf form on Leo Ray’s shoulder, was taken aback and blurted out, “My Lord, I sense a foreign presence of our kind inside the door!”
“Inside the door? Sheila, are you saying this is a ‘Gate of Truth’?”
Leo Ray quickly understood the meaning of “gate” from her words, his face full of surprise.
Hearing this, even the others around were stunned, exchanging puzzled glances.
Everyone was well aware of Sheila’s identity as a Stone Spirit and understood what the ‘Gate of Truth’ signifies.
But here’s the dilemma: this is a relic of the Light Elf Race, a thing that existed before the Era of Blankness during the Silver Moon Era.
Yet, both the [Divine Stone] and the ‘Gate of Truth’ came into existence only after the Era of Blankness, having timelines that don’t align.
How could a triple magic prohibition from before the Era of Blankness possibly seal a ‘Gate of Truth’ from after that era?
While everyone pondered in confusion, Leo Ray felt a spark of insight and summoned Xiao Jie and Xiao Jing.
Upon receiving Leo Ray’s summons, the two Stone Spirits appeared instantly, filled with enthusiasm and high spirits.
Understandably so, since they hadn’t been dispatched during the previous battle due to their limited abilities, leaving them a bit disheartened.
However, with Leo Ray’s growing strength and frequent use of power activation, Xiao Jie and Xiao Jing have significantly improved, nearly reaching Tier 6 Peak.
“My Lord, Sheila was right. There indeed exists an unopened ‘Gate of Truth’ ahead, faint traces of our kind seeping from within.”
After concentrating and sensing, Xiao Jie bowed to Leo Ray, confirmed by Xiao Jing who nodded in agreement.
“So, that ancient door is the entrance to the ‘Gate of Truth’? No wonder its patterns are entirely different from those of the Light Elf Race.”
Leo Ray, deep in thought, nodded and then, his face filled with perplexity, asked, “But why could your perception, far superior to the Tier 5 Stone Spirit, Little Illusion, only detect the ‘Gate of Truth’ after the ancient door opened?”
Having explored the ‘Gate of Wandering,’ Leo Ray clearly understood.
Conventionally, the three should have perceived the ancient door as the entrance to the ‘Gate of Truth’ from the start, since the entrance is part of the ‘Gate of Truth.’
It shouldn’t be that only upon opening the entrance could one feel the ‘Gate of Truth’ within.
Moreover, how could a triple magic prohibition from before the Era of Blankness seal a ‘Gate of Truth’ from later? This Light Elf relic truly grows more inscrutable.
“My Lord, you are indeed right; logically, we should have sensed the ancient door from the beginning.”
Sheila pondered for a moment, then replied thoughtfully, “I believe the situation arose because the ‘Gate of Truth’ overlapped with the original triple magic prohibition’s sealed barrier area at its creation, preventing us from sensing the ‘Gate of Truth’ initially.”
“If that’s the case, then everything indeed makes sense.”
Hearing this, Leo Ray nodded in understanding.
As everyone knows, the ‘Gate of Truth’ is essentially a deftly crafted barrier area, often residing in an unnoticed corner of real space, waiting for a seeker with the ‘Key of Truth’ to open it.
This ‘Gate of Truth’ happened to form within the sealed barrier area of the triple magic prohibition, adding another barrier compared to other ‘Gates of Truth,’ hence why Sheila and the rest didn’t detect it initially.
“So, this ancient door encompasses both a ‘Gate of Truth’ and the mysterious barrier area sealed by the triple magic prohibition?”
Moli’s eyes widened in anticipation, “I’m really curious about what kind of scene lies within!”
As Moli looked inwards, she saw that the inside of the opened ancient door was completely dark, revealing nothing of its scene, adding to the mystery.
“It seems the change in style of the patterns on this ancient door was indeed influenced by the ‘Gate of Truth’.”
Lila nodded thoughtfully and then, as if remembering something, frowned and said to Leo Ray, “My Lord, but a ‘Gate of Truth’ requires a ‘Key of Truth’ to open. Without the corresponding ‘Key of Truth,’ wouldn’t this trip be in vain?”
At Lila’s words, Hollis and the others quickly realized this too, frowning as well.
