“Space Judgment Blade!”
Just as soon as she obtained her new Magic Wand, Moli reacted the fastest; a gray Space Giant Blade swept out like a collapsing mountain and raging tide, chopping straight down toward the head of one of the colossi.
Boom!
With an earth-shattering crash, the huge head of the colossus shattered on the spot, and then its massive body toppled over askew.
“Worthy of a Tier 7 Staff—my Attack has practically doubled!”
Moli’s starry eyes were full of excitement as she immediately set about dealing with the other colossus.
From the aura released by these colossi, it was not hard to judge that they were all at the same Half-step Tier 7 Level as their side.
To one-shot an opponent of the same strength, even if it was just a relatively slow Golem Puppet—this was undoubtedly something Moli hadn’t even dared to imagine before!
“Hundred Thunder Star Fall!”
Right beside Moli, Kira, who had likewise obtained Seventh Stage equipment, let her Mana surge wildly, firing hundreds of massive thunder orbs at another colossus.
Boom! Boom! Boom!
Those rapidly flying giant thunder orbs crashed one after another into the colossus’s body like falling stars.
As crackling Thunder Fluid surged, pits and craters oozing darkness quickly appeared all over the colossus; though it wasn’t killed in a single blow, it staggered and dropped to one knee.
At the very front of the Battle, Fei’er, Hollis, Rax, Payton, Lila, and the other Physical-Type powerhouses performed just as brilliantly; the fierce wind from their Tier 7 weapons swept heaven and earth. Hollis and the other strength-type fighters in particular even directly knocked aside the enemy’s Giant Axes—and they were still in their Human Clan forms.
As for Fei’er and Lila, their lithe, agile figures flashed between the massive ax blades like gales, flying up along the colossi’s thick arms and darting straight to their heads, where they unleashed a storm of sword light.
With all the powerhouses displaying their abilities, and with their coordination becoming ever tighter, those ferocious Half-step Tier 7 colossi soon crashed down one after another, until they were restored to scattered Energy Particles and vanished completely.
One had to know, although these colossi were relatively slow, their Defense Power was in fact astonishing, at the very Peak of Half-step Tier 7. If an ordinary Half-step Seventh-order Strongmen encountered them, it would be very difficult to inflict effective damage in a short time, and they would inevitably be dragged into a bitter struggle.
But all our powerhouses were equipped with even superior Demigod Weapons, and with Sheila’s blessing buffs on top, they naturally could easily shatter the enemy’s Defense.
It didn’t take long; with the last colossus falling flat on its back, the Battle finally came to an end.
“So this is the Trial of the Gate of Truth? If it had been before, it really would have been quite troublesome.”
Moli stood with her hands on her hips, looking at the now-empty hall with an air of utter ease.
“The colossi’s attacks, plus our Stone Giants’ and Half-Titans’ Treasures serving as the Key of Truth—seems the Trial here leans toward combat.”
Lila scanned the surroundings warily as she spoke thoughtfully.
At her words, Hollis and the others nodded in full agreement. Whether Stone Giants, Half-Titans, or the Titans represented by these colossi, all viewed bloody Battle and hand-to-hand combat as the highest honor of a warrior.
It seemed likely, then, that the theme of this Gate of Truth was Battle.
Hearing this, all the powerhouses could not help but look extremely confident.
From the earlier sensing of Sheila and the other Stone Spirits, the group already knew that the Stone Spirits here were at Half-step Tier 7 Level.
And the Trial of the God’s Stone would not exceed the strength of the Stone Spirits themselves—in other words, the strongest opponent here was at Half-step Tier 7 Level.
If it really was simple combat, that would undoubtedly be extremely favorable to their side.
“For now, it does look that way, but we still can’t rule out other possibilities. After all, obtaining the God’s Stone is by no means easy.”
Leo Ray nodded slightly and reminded everyone: “Besides, don’t forget that this is not only the Trial of the God’s Stone—it’s also very likely hiding mechanisms of the Ancient Light Elves. We must not let our guard down.”
“As you command, Lord!”
Everyone calmed their minds and once more gathered around Leo Ray.
“Let’s finish exploring this hall first.”
Leo Ray looked toward those areas that had been blocked off by the Barrier earlier and took a step forward.
Just as Leo Ray had anticipated, when they returned to those areas, the previously unbreakable Barrier was no longer present, revealing many other sections of the hall to them.
After a thorough investigation, Leo Ray noted the following.
Around the hall were many rooms—some connected by corridors, some standing alone. Rest rooms, Storage rooms, meeting rooms, even bedrooms were all present, displaying many rusted objects left by the Ancient Light Elves, yet no useful items like weapons, armor, Magical Scrolls, or mineral resources were found.
“There’s nothing special here, and no suspicious Magic Traps either.”
Moli walked out from the last room at the end of the hall corridor, frowning. “Aside from a thick layer of dust.”
“It seems this hall is not the entirety of the Barrier Area, nor is it the main location of the Trial.”
Leo Ray pondered for a moment, then said, “There must be other Passages here—routes that connect to other areas. Let’s keep looking.”
Sure enough, it didn’t take long before the group returned once more to the main hall.
And before them stood a tightly shut hall gate.
Leo Ray had actually noticed this place when they first entered.
Back then, however, the Gate had led to an ancient door that connected to the outside Secret Chamber, so it hadn’t especially drawn his attention.
“Looks like this is the Gate leading to the other areas.”
Leo Ray stopped before the Gate and nodded to Moli.
Immediately, two Space Magic Puppets appeared at Moli’s summon, then, under her command, pressed against the Gate from left and right.
The path ahead was still unknown; a bit of caution never hurt.
With a heavy grinding of metal, the hall Gate swung open.
The moment it opened, bright sunlight shone in through the crack, followed by a burst of refreshing floral fragrance.
What met their eyes was a bright, cloudless sky and a lush Garden scene.
For a moment, the solemn, ancient hall and the birds-and-flowers outside formed a stark contrast, as if they were two utterly different worlds.
“So it’s outside the hall that’s actually the core of this Barrier Area!”
Moli’s starry eyes sparkled as she peered out with a face full of curiosity.
Although the bright sunlight here was only a projection of the outside world, it looked no different from the real thing—more than enough to prove that the construction technique of this Barrier Area was extremely advanced.
“More precisely, what lies ahead is the true site of the Trial. Don’t you go causing trouble, girl.”
Leo Ray gave Moli a helpless smile, then walked out of the hall with the other powerhouses.
“Got it, I’m not a child.”
Moli pouted as she followed in Leo Ray’s footsteps, muttering with an aggrieved look, “Besides, I’m over eight hundred years old—I’m way older than you, all right?”
Hearing Moli’s grumbling, Leo Ray only smiled and stepped outside the hall.
Looking around, they saw flowerbeds in full bloom and neatly trimmed shrubs everywhere, brimming with vitality.
But whether it was Leo Ray or the other powerhouses, they soon noticed something very strange, and began exchanging looks.
