Chapter 282: Chapter 282: Secret, Help Me One More Time
Hazel, sitting in Aiden’s lap, suddenly stopped breathing. She turned her head nervously toward the door.
Aiden, however, kept a calm expression. He placed a hand on her slender waist and stroked it gently.
“Don’t be nervous. Act a bit more like it,” he whispered.
Then, he turned to the door and shouted impatiently, “What is it? Can’t you see I’m busy?”
Ratfolk Yasser’s voice came back quickly. “So sorry, sir. I just forgot to ask for your name. I’ve applied for a High VIP status for you as a gift.”
“The auction is starting soon. This status will help you save money, but you need to spend a certain amount at the guild from time to time to keep it.”
Aiden lightly patted Hazel’s back, signaling her to open the door.
When Ratfolk Yasser entered, he immediately sensed that Hazel’s state was a bit off.
But when he saw Aiden relaxing on the sofa, his gaze constantly roaming over Hazel’s body, a look of deep understanding appeared on his face.
Not wanting to disturb Aiden, Yasser finished his task as fast as possible. As he left, he left behind a pink potion, saying,
“This is free from the guild. It will make the user feel much more sensitive and boost their stamina.”
After that, Yasser ran out of the room.
Soon, the atmosphere inside the private room changed.
Hazel looked at the pink potion on the table, bit her lip, and whispered,
“Manager Yasser is very sharp. If he finds out we didn’t do anything later, he might suspect you.”
“Many sisters have been tortured to death by Demons.”
Just thinking about her fellow humans who died so terribly, fear and deep sadness filled Hazel’s eyes.
She was lucky to be alive this long, but unless things changed, she couldn’t escape a tragic end either.
“Relax. Suncrest Mercantile doesn’t dare record videos or audio inside private rooms. Any Abyss creatures who can enter these rooms are not simple people,” Hazel said, taking a deep breath.
Aiden nodded, but he didn’t reveal his true identity yet.
This is the Abyss’s Heartspire, so be careful. If a Demon God suddenly appears, even with the supreme Miko’s blessing, you could still be in danger.
Just then, he heard Hazel ask again, “Who exactly are you?”
Aiden thought for a moment and replied, “I’m a Demon. I just happen to know a human friend and wanted to see if I could help you a little.”
Hazel’s eyes lit up, then quickly dimmed again.
She looked down at the slave collar around her neck, took a deep breath, and said,
“I can’t leave. As soon as I step out of the guild’s designated area, this collar will explode automatically.”
“But if you bid on many things later and spend a lot at the guild, I can live a bit longer. I won’t become… their food, at least not for a while.”
The atmosphere suddenly grew heavy.
Aiden sighed softly; right now, he had no way to truly save Hazel.
Humans in the Abyss are in a terrible position. They are either playthings for Abyss creatures, slaves, or food.
Aiden was trying hard to hold back his anger. But as a human himself, seeing his own kind suffer so miserably, how could he remain unmoved?
“Don’t worry. I came here to bid on a lot of things,” Aiden said, the only comfort he could offer.
Hazel nodded. She glanced at the pink potion, then suddenly thought of a plan. She took a deep breath and said there was another way to extend her life, though it would be very difficult.
It required Aiden to upgrade his status to Super VIP at the guild and ask Manager Yasser to promise that she would be needed for his next visit.
If they could keep such a valuable guest, they would treat Hazel as someone far too important to be eaten.
“But that’s hard,” Hazel whispered, taking another deep breath. “You’ll need to spend a huge amount of Legendary Rank materials, plus several portions of Mythic Rank materials.”
In her mind, this Demon was just a friend of a human. How could he possibly spend so much just for her?
Hearing this, Aiden felt it wouldn’t be a problem at all. He was actually planning to buy a Second Class Scroll anyway, which would cost quite a bit.
Just as Aiden was about to speak, Hazel suddenly opened her mouth.
“Can you kill me?” she asked.
Aiden froze, completely stunned.
“I can’t commit suicide,” Hazel continued, her voice trembling. “As long as you kill me, I’ll be freed.”
“Of course, this comes at a cost to you. But I know a secret that I can offer as compensation,” she said, lowering her head.
“What secret?” Aiden couldn’t help but ask.
Hazel didn’t answer directly. “You just need to tell your human friend. If he finds a way to share this secret with the Emperor of a major Earth nation, he will get a huge reward.”
Aiden understood immediately. Hazel had lost all hope. She wanted death to set her free.
He sighed and shook his head. “Don’t be so desperate. I can become a Super VIP.”
“Just trust me.”
If his true wealth were revealed, it would cause a massive earthquake.
Those Mythic Rank materials were incredibly precious, whether on Earth or in the Abyss.
Hazel looked at Aiden intently, hesitating for a long time before finally nodding. She chose to trust him.
Taking a deep breath, she spoke plainly: “Most of the human slaves in the guild were sold here.”
Aiden initially didn’t grasp the implication. “Demons captured humans, and then…”
He stopped abruptly, realizing something was wrong. So Demons captured humans to sell them? That wasn’t much of a secret.
“No, it’s humans,” Hazel shook her head. “Specifically, certain factions or powers within humanity. They sell human slaves to the Abyss, including children and even pregnant women.”
Aiden’s pupils shrank instantly.
People selling their own kind like cargo to the Abyss?
Was this something humans were capable of doing?
A second or two passed. Aiden thought carefully and realized this was exactly something humans could do.
Human trafficking and organ harvesting happened even without the Abyss appearing. On Earth, these atrocities still took place.
He took a deep breath, quickly regaining his composure, and asked for more details.
Hazel explained that her fellow slaves, who had already died, told her about this. They were smuggled into the Abyss through space gates located at the front lines of various nations.
“Various nations?” Aiden’s eyes widened in shock.
Hazel nodded. “I know, I was shocked too when I first heard it.”
“Some even claimed they saw human officers involved. It was a Lieutenant Colonel named Thomas from the Great Shaw Empire.”
“You need to tell your friend to be careful,” she added urgently. “He must try to meet with the leaders of human nations. Otherwise, he is in serious danger.”
Aiden silently wrote the name Thomas in his memory.
Grudge Heart, human trafficking… there were too many people who deserved punishment but hadn’t received it yet.
Once his soul strength grew enough to satisfy Grudge Heart’s requirements and his power increased, he would make them pay.
Aiden tucked these thoughts away and began searching for the Second Class Scroll.
Soon, his eyes lit up slightly. The upcoming auction actually had a Second Class Scroll!
This was great news for Aiden.
At that moment, Hazel slowly approached him again. She stared at the pink potion on the table, took a deep breath, and said:
“Manager Yasser left this here. If nothing happens between us, he’ll think I have no value.”
“I’m torn,” she confessed softly. “I don’t want to live in humiliation, but I also don’t want to die without having tried anything.”
“What should I do?”
As she spoke, Hazel’s eyes turned red, tears streaming down her cheeks.
“Can I still be saved?” she whispered.
Aiden’s expression softened, his voice filled with determination. “Of course you can.”
“Some day in the future, humans will make all the Abyss creatures pay back every bit of humiliation and pain we suffered, tenfold.”
Hazel fell silent for a moment. Then, she reached out, picked up the pink potion on the table, and drank half of it.
Soon, her complexion flushed, and her pale skin began to glow with a soft red hue.
“I want to live,” she said, her hands trembling as she slowly undid her seductive underwear. “Even if I can’t leave this place, as long as I’m alive, maybe I can help others like me later.”
Her breasts, though small, were incredibly firm, her nipples a delicate pink that looked incredibly tender.
Aiden took a deep breath at the sight, saying, “You don’t have to do this. I have enough wealth to become a Super VIP at Suncrest Mercantile. Then…”
Before he could finish, Hazel, wearing only her shorts, sat down heavily on his lap. Shaking her head, she said,
“That’s not enough. I don’t just want to survive. I want to change my situation. I need a certain status within Suncrest Mercantile itself.”
“The closer I get to you, the more Manager Yasser will think I’m valuable.”
“Thank you… please help me one more time, I beg you.” Her eyes were still red as she pleaded.
With that, she closed her eyes, slid off Aiden’s lap, and crouched down.
