Evolution: From Little Devil to Devil Empress - Chapter 225: Transformation

Chapter 225: Transformation
Unfortunately, Liora had no time to pay attention to the System’s many changes.
At the moment, her entire focus was on her own body.
Or to be more accurate, it was on the blood coursing through her.
With the percentage jumping to one hundred percent, the final part of her ordinary blood had also turned gray, gaining an illusory hue.
This signaled that her bloodline had completed its transformation.
And this should have brought a great deal of benefits.
Liora had gone through many transformations before.
Some of them were sudden and powerful, while others were extraordinary and grand. However, it was the first time that a transformation had been so… silent.
Silent—this was the best word that Liora could use to describe the current situation.
Although her bloodline had transformed, she failed to notice any obvious changes.
Just when she was about to investigate further, though, her expression changed.
Out of nowhere, Liora felt her own strength skyrocket.
Her physical strength was growing stronger at an incredible rate, while her demonic energy was increasing in both quantity and quality at the same time.
She immediately understood what was happening.
“I didn’t expect that my bloodline’s transformation would directly lead to my advancement.”, Liora whispered.
That’s right. The current improvement was not brought by her bloodline’s transformation, but by the process of her becoming a True Devil.
Liora instantly noticed this.
At the same time, she also noticed that the space began trembling with her as its center, shattering and spreading to the rest of the world as if wanting to devour it.
This was what Liora had been afraid of, and the reason why she had refrained from becoming a True Devil before.
She knew that with her advancement, the entire world would suffer and grow closer to ruin.
At the very least, this would have indeed been the case in the past.
But now, Liora noticed something different.
Looking at the space in front of her, she subconsciously stretched her hand and traced her finger across the air. This movement did not contain much power and seemed unassuming and ordinary, like the action of a mortal person.
Yet, the space was easily torn apart. A fissure opened in space, which quickly grew bigger.
Soon, it had grown large enough for a single person to pass through.
Seeing this, Liora nodded her head. After confirming that there was nothing wrong and there was no danger, she stepped into the gate-shaped gap.
—
Darkness.
This was the first thing that Liora saw the moment she opened her eyes.
She knew that this place was beyond the world of Knights. Her bloodline memories referred to this place as “Origin Sea”.
Many lights flickered on the horizon, each representing a different world.
Some lights, like the one representing the world of Knights, were weak, while others were powerful, like the Demon World.
However, Liora didn’t have the time to observe or admire those lights.
She could sense that her strength was growing increasingly stronger, and her advancement had reached a critical point.
Taking her seat in this dark place, Liora closed her eyes and surveyed her current state.
She immediately noticed that each particle making up her body was being rearranged, seemingly transforming into a higher-level structure.
As a Devil, her form was far from ordinary.
It far surpassed common sense and was entirely different from ordinary humans.
Yet even then, it could still be observed and studied by other beings.
However, when Liora caught a glimpse of her new structure, her eyes flashed with confusion and uncertainty.
She could not understand anything.
Each of the particles making up her body had now become a mystery, inexplicable and beyond her cognition.
This was something she had only experienced when studying the mysterious blood.
In Liora’s eyes, it was as if each of her particles was being transformed into a real, actual world.
Just when she was preparing to take a closer look, a sudden click came from her body.
It was quiet, almost inaudible within the absolute darkness surrounding her.
Yet, it was perfectly clear to Liora.
That small click seemed to represent something.
Before Liora could react, the countless distant lights within the dark space shook violently.
Some faint white mist flowed out of them, and whether willing or unwilling, rushed in her direction.
The mist defied common sense.
Although these worlds were far away, the mist arrived beside her in the blink of an eye.
Then, it began drilling into her body and coursing through her.
Liora didn’t experience any pain.
The white mist poured into her body and flowed into each one of her particles, as if the final stroke before their birth.
Her already powerful body became even stronger, while her demonic energy broke through a certain limit and reached a new, completely different level.
At the same time, several pieces of information emerged from her bloodline and rushed towards her mind.
Some of this information was plain bloodline memories, part of it was regarding her own bloodline, while the last part was the information about the abilities she had just awakened.
Liora sat with her eyes closed, silently digesting all this information.
Though her already strong consciousness had been strengthened even further during her advancement, she still found it difficult to do so.
It took her an unknown amount of time to complete this process.
She didn’t know how much time had passed. After all, time did not leave any traces in the Origin Sea.
It could have been hours, days, months, or even years.
It was only when Liora opened her eyes again that time began to flow again.
Glancing down at her own body, Liora carefully checked her own condition.
Although her appearance had remained the same and had not undergone any massive changes, she was certain that she was now completely different.
The advancement from a Lesser Devil to a True Devil had not only increased her strength but had directly elevated her life level.
Just when Liora was about to immerse herself in the changes, her consciousness captured a faint fluctuation in the distance.
Seeing this, she didn’t linger.
Her hand reached out once again and performed another upward motion through the air. Just like before, the space before her shattered and turned into a door-shaped gap.
Liora cast a final glance at her surroundings before she stepped in.
The next moment, her figure vanished while the gap in the space recovered at a terrifying rate.
Only a few minutes later, another person arrived at the place where she had just undergone her transformation.
It was a middle-aged man with a gentle appearance.
Curiosity flashed across his face, and he surveyed this place as if he were searching for something.
When he noticed the remaining aura, his expression couldn’t help but show some interest.
“Hehe. It looks like we will meet very soon.”, he chuckled before leaving this place.
