Looking at Alpha, who was also staring at her with faint excitement in her eyes, she nodded her head and spoke up:

“Did you awaken any new abilities this time?”, she questioned.

Hearing the first part of her words, Alpha couldn’t help but let out a smile. She hid it quickly, but her joy was quite apparent.

However, it remained to be seen whether this was because of the improvement of her strength or because of Liora’s praise.

Seeing that Liora was curious about her new abilities and wished to learn more, Alpha did not keep her waiting.

“All my previous abilities have been strengthened. Especially Life Infusion has received a significant enhancement.”, she stated and added:

“However, this is not the biggest change. My advancement has also resulted in me awakening two new abilities.”

As she saw Liora motion her to showcase them, Alpha did as told.

With a move of her mind, the mechanical core hidden inside her body emerged and fell into her hands.

Watching Alpha brush her fingers against its shimmering surface, Liora couldn’t help but feel a little strange.

After all, this thing was arguably Alpha’s most important possession.

Though it was described as a heart earlier, it was in fact even more crucial to Alpha than a heart to humans.

Alpha did not seem to notice Liora’s gaze.

“I like to call this ability: Overdrive.”, Alpha explained.

Hearing this, Liora instantly understood the importance of this ability.

It basically allowed Alpha to enter a crazed stage, similar to the Life Ignition of Great Knights or the effect of the Bloodforge Halberd.

“It mostly depends on how much Alpha’s strength can be boosted in the Overdrive state. If it is by a few percent, then it’s useless.”

Once everything was inside and only the mechanical core remained, it shot towards Liora and tried to enter her body.

Liora noticed that the Myriad Devils Body activated on its own and prevented this external object from affecting her.

It was only when she consciously suppressed its effects and the core no longer faced any resistance that it was finally able to enter her body.

Melting into pure energy, it coursed through her body, seemingly working hard to empower her.

Once this energy left and her symbiosis with Alpha ended, she would no longer be able to use Life Infusion.

“If I have stored any energy within the core beforehand, I can also allow the Lord to enter the Overdrive state.”, a voice suddenly rang within Liora’s mind.

Its owner was none other than Alpha.
