“Sect Leader, the subordinates have followed your instructions and cleaned up the remnants of the Heavenly Sword Sect.”

“Just as expected, most of the disciples surrendered and were forced to join our sect.”

“However, a portion of them, about 30%, refused to do so.”

In a makeshift meeting hall, Rose stood in front of Liora and faithfully reported the battle’s outcome.

Hearing her words, Liora nodded her head while taking a sip from the tea served by Ophis.

Seeing this woman stand behind her back with an unwilling look on her face, Liora merely shook her head and ignored it.

“Have you sent people to hunt the disciples who escaped the mountain?”, she turned to Rose and questioned.

Rose nodded, but after a brief pause, she shook her head.

“I asked some disciples and Elders to hunt these people down. But it’s highly unlikely that they will succeed.”

“By now, most of these disciples should have hidden themselves. Unless the Sect Leader personally searches for them, some are bound to escape.”

The members of the Blood Devil Sect were not like Liora. Even the Elders were only Masters, far from being omnipotent.

If the people who escaped were smart and acted cautiously, some of them would survive.

Liora understood this very well and thus did not make things difficult for Rose.

But secretly, she shook her head.

“Plans cannot keep up with the changes. I originally let these people escape to stir up some trouble in the Northern Lands.”

“If a few of the Great Sects were alarmed and sent people to investigate, I would harvest another batch of Evolution Points and improve my strength.”

“Unfortunately…”

Having learned of the existence of the Divine Race and the Evil Spirits, Liora was no longer as tempted.

Thinking of this, she took another sip of her tea and continued listening to Rose’s report.

It was only half an hour later, when everything had been accounted for, that Rose left the hall.

Only Liora and Ophis remained in the room, with the latter having a thoughtful expression.

Liora did not care about her thoughts. Recalling her earlier conversation with Rose, she couldn’t help but think of something.

With a thought, a small token flew out of a ring and appeared in her hand.

“You previously mentioned that you can summon the Six Great Sects using their token.”

“Is it this thing?”, she asked Ophis, who hurriedly nodded her head.

“Didn’t you previously say that only half of the Great Sects are your affiliate forces?”

“It’s true.”, Ophis shook her head as if afraid that she would misunderstand.

“But the Northern Lands do not belong solely to the Ouroboros Clan. Half of the so-called Six Great Sects are under the command of the Dark Demon Clan.”

Ophis did not point it out, but Liora knew from her earlier introduction that the Dark Demon Clan was also one of the Nine Divine Clans.

“Have these guys unknowingly divided the world?”

“Since the Northern Lands nominally belong to the Ouroboros and Dark Demon Clans, the same should be true for the other regions, too.”, Liora pondered and called someone over.

After they walked in, she handed them the token and gave a set of instructions. Then, she watched them leave silently.

Behind her, Ophis was speechless at first. But she mustered up her courage and reminded Liora:

“You shouldn’t underestimate those Warriors. Unlike us, you are not immortal.”

“Every sect should have about 10 or so Awakened… the so-called Masters in your eyes.”

“If you’re not careful, you may very well perish.”

Ophis’ tone was polite, and the content of her words made it seem as if she were really giving some kind-hearted advice.

But when the words fell in Liora’s ears, her expression couldn’t help but darken.

She didn’t trust Ophis. That much was already obvious.

The previous surrender and her sudden attack had made it clear that this woman was a ruthless person. It was very likely that she was plotting a way to escape her clutches.

Unfortunately, Ophis had underestimated her. Now that she had become her captive, it was impossible for her to escape.

If anything, she should feel happy that she was useful. Otherwise, she would have died long ago.

Thinking of this, Liora ignored Ophis, a mere pawn, and didn’t try to argue with her.

Still, she felt that she should teach this woman a lesson; otherwise, she would continue to trouble her.

Secretly, a drop of blood appeared in Liora’s hand, and following a tremor, it integrated into her body.

Instantly, Ophis witnessed Liora transform. Her skin squirmed while her bones cracked and elongated, as her body quickly changed shape.

Before Ophis could react, Liora was no longer in the meeting hall. Only a middle-aged man sat in the place where she once sat, a person whom Ophis could recognize.

“Uncle…”, her eyes widened, and she almost took a step back, but she soon regained her composure and shook her head.

“No… Uncle is dead. I saw it with my own two eyes.”

“Is it a disguise? Wearing his”, Ophis muttered, unable to comprehend the scene before her.

Seeing Ophis’ stunned look, Liora nodded her head with satisfaction. Of course, she hadn’t been replaced by the middle-aged man.

Rather, Liora had used an ability that she had activated only one time so far—Overwrite.

Using blood as a guide, she had “overwritten” the protector’s identity.

She didn’t do this to scare Ophis. This ability was vital to her next course of action.

“It’s not been long since I awakened my memories. Yet I’ve already achieved such a level of strength.”

“Creating the Heavenly Devil ability was indeed the correct decision. For me, getting rid of the world’s suppression is the most important thing.”

“Otherwise, just like in the world of Knights, it would have taken me months, if not years, to reach my current state.”, Liora whispered, and secretly, she couldn’t help but summon the System Panel.
