Chapter 324: Demon God’s Cemetery Opens
Entering the Demon God’s Cemetery was quite dangerous.
Each time the cemetery opened, almost one thousand people would enter, but only a few hundred would leave alive.
This high casualty rate was partly because of the cemetery’s own dangers, and partly because of the other participants.
In fact, each Weapon Master stepping into the cemetery considered everyone else a competitor.
Most of the deaths did not happen because of the creatures inside, but at the hands of other Divine Race members.
As such, although everyone could understand the reason behind Mayven’s sudden reveal, their faces still turned solemn.
The arrival of the young man was bound to put their descendants and Clan members into danger.
Most importantly, it was very likely that he and the Dark Demon Clan would emerge as the biggest winners.
With a flicker in their eyes, the minds of the many Clan Heads moved as they secretly communicated with each other.
Seeing this, the Clan Head of the Dark Demon Clan snorted coldly.
He knew without saying that the Dark Demon Clan’s members might become the target of everyone when they reached the cemetery.
Just as he looked at Mayven and was about to say something, an old man standing on top of the giant sword coughed loudly, earning everyone’s attention.
“Now is not the time to fight with each other. The space around the Demon God’s Cemetery has already begun to weaken.”
“If we don’t take action now and instead miss this opportunity, we will have to wait for ten more years.”
The words of the old man calmed everyone down. In fact, neither Mayven nor anyone else was planning to fight against each other at this point in time.
Now that the old man had let them take a step down, they immediately took the opportunity.
After communicating for a few more minutes, the faces of the nine Clan Heads turned stern, and they hopped off the giant beings carrying them.
The Clans’ Priests followed right behind them.
Standing on top of the black serpent, Liora stared at the many people and couldn’t help but let out a sigh.
It deserved to be a medium-level world.
Just for the Demon God’s Cemetery, more than fifty Demon Saints had gathered here. This meant that, as a whole, this world might contain more than a hundred True Devil-level beings.
While Liora was roughly estimating the strength of this world, the many Demon Saints did not remain idle.
As if they had made an agreement beforehand, their auras surged at the same exact time, and they all took action.
Some of them brandished their weapons while others expanded in size, transforming into humanoid monsters.
Regardless, they all targeted the space before them.
Sword slashes, punches, and many other abilities fell on the exact same point in the space.
The aftermath of their attacks did not spread, evidence of the Demon Saints’ extraordinary control over their power.
The many Weapon Masters did not notice anything strange.
However, Liora was far stronger than they were and immediately understood what they were doing.
As the power of the Demon Saints gathered, it merged together and struck at the space, tearing it apart.
Then, as if the veil concealing it had been taken off, a second space was revealed inside.
“A demi-plane.”, Liora couldn’t help but mutter inwardly, realizing that the Demon God’s Cemetery did not exist in this world per se.
Instead, just like the Hollows in the 173rd Layer of the Demon World, it was a demi-plane attached to the membrane of this world.
“Break!”
Suddenly, the Clan Heads and the Priests roared. The bodies of some of them cracked while others had blood dripping from their mouths.
Yet, their power didn’t weaken in the slightest. Instead, it grew even more terrifying.
The space shattered at an extraordinary speed, and before long, a large hole, hundreds of meters in diameter, formed.
By now, even the other Weapon Masters could see the demi-plane behind it.
In the eyes of most of them, the demi-plane looked like a giant coffin floating in the air.
However, upon taking a closer look, they realized that this was an illusion.
The Clan Heads did not care about their opinions.
Feeling that the space was rapidly healing and that the Demon God’s Cemetery was fading away, they didn’t hesitate.
Instantly, their respective power wrapped around their Clan members, and like giant hands, they tossed them into the cemetery.
By the time the last person was thrown in, the space had already recovered.
Only the Demon Saints remained in this place, while everyone else had disappeared.
The Demon Saints were gravely injured. Obviously, opening the Demon God’s Cemetery had taken a heavy toll on them.
However, they didn’t mind.
One by one, the Clan Heads took out several corpses of demons.
Although they were dead, the demons exuded an aura comparable to Demon Saints.
Still, under the attack of the Clan Heads, the demons could only be torn apart and devoured by them and the Priests, working as nourishment and helping them heal their injuries.
The sound of loud chewing could soon be heard, as if a feast of monsters was taking place.
Several minutes later, only bones remained, and the Demon Saints had fully recovered.
“I wonder if the seal will be broken this time. I can feel that we don’t have much time left.”
“Thirty years. In at most thirty years, he will fully recover from his injuries and escape the seal.”, a Clan Head whispered.
“At that time, the Central Area and this whole world will change.”, he said, with a tremor in his voice.
The other Clan Heads did not mock him for his gaffe. Most of them nodded their heads and echoed his words.
Among them, only a few people remained calm.
“What’s the point of worrying?”
“We were able to kill him back then! Even if he recovers and escapes, we will kill him again!”, the Dark Demon Clan’s Head gritted his teeth and said.
At such a time, Mayven should have taken the opportunity to rebuke him. However, he didn’t say anything.
Instead, he looked silently at the Demon God’s Cemetery hidden deep within the space, and his eyes couldn’t help but show a thoughtful look.
No one among the participants knew of the conversation taking place in the outside world.
Being thrown into the hole, they felt themselves float in a dark space.
Just when some of them were beginning to feel anxious, the coffin-like demi-plane on the horizon suddenly shook.
A vast pulling force emanated from it and acted on the Weapon Masters, pulling them in its direction.
None of them had the ability to resist. Only Liora sensed that she could break free from that force, but after a brief hesitation, she didn’t.
Allowing it to control her body, she watched silently as she rapidly approached the demi-plane. Once she was close enough, the pulling force grew even stronger, turning into a miniature black hole.
With a bang, she soon entered that black hole.
