Evolution: From Little Devil to Devil Empress - Chapter 338: Chaos

Chapter 338: Chaos
“Kill him! If he doesn’t die, then we will!”
“Members of the Sword Clan! Come with me!”
“Dark Demon Clan! Do you really want to protect him?”
Several parties were confronting each other on top of a high mountain.
Or to be more accurate, several parties had banded together to deal with a single opponent.
On one side stood many members of the eight Divine Clans. After so many days, many of them had encountered each other and teamed up.
By now, more than a hundred people had gathered here under the instructions of their leaders.
On the other side were also members of the Divine Clans. However, they all belonged to a single one: the Dark Demon Clan.
At the center stood a muscular young man with a chiseled face, while behind him stood the rest of the Dark Demon Clan members.
Hearing the taunts of his opponents, the young man sneered coldly.
“If you wish to attack me, then just do it!”
“What’s the point of talking at this point?”
“A bunch of cowards!”, he said with contempt. Wherever his gaze passed, the people he faced would flinch and take half a step back.
Fortunately, there were some courageous people among the members of the Divine Clans.
“Darian! You should surrender and cripple yourself if you know what’s good for you!”
“Don’t cause the other people of the Dark Demon Clan to die with you!”
“Otherwise, even if you survive, you will be unable to give an explanation to the Priests outside!”
These words indeed caused the expression of Darian to change. But most importantly, it caused the members of the Dark Demon Clan to hesitate.
Although the Clan Head had told them to cooperate with Darian, this didn’t mean that they were willing to die for his sake.
If their lives were in danger, they would rather betray him than really die.
Their thoughts were immediately noticed by Matt. Though he understood their positions and might have done the same if he were in their shoes, he also couldn’t help but feel speechless.
“We should do a reshuffling of forces when I return to the Clan.”
“The Clan has really gotten worse under the leadership of my father. How can my Dark Demon Clan dominate the world if its members are but a bunch of cowards?”, Darian shook his head.
His silence made the people besieging him delighted.
They felt that he was about to give up and surrender.
But the next moment, Darian’s expression turned stern. Following a loud shout, a bronze light engulfed his body while a demonic figure emerged behind his back.
When the light disappeared, the demonic figure merged with his body and transformed into a pair of bronze gauntlets.
Darian did not speak any further.
The next second, he glided forward and flashed beside the person who had previously taunted him. Turning his hand into a fist, he punched him in the abdomen.
His opponent had no time to react. The force of the bronze gauntlet raged inside his body.
Under his shocked eyes, his body suddenly exploded.
Although a small light flickered, appeared in the distance, and turned back into the man, his face was still filled with shock.
“No! How is this possible?”, the man couldn’t help but mutter, and he instantly had a faint guess.
“This guy has broken through! He is not a Weapon Master!”
“He has already become a Demon Saint!”, he shouted, trying to remind his companions, but it was already too late.
The demonic figure behind Darian reappeared and, mimicking his own movements, punched down, sending dozens of Weapon Masters flying.
Blood splattered as their flesh was torn apart. Before they could recover, Darian launched himself forward and entered the enemy’s formation.
He ignored their attacks and allowed his opponents to strike him, disregarding his injuries to kill them instead.
“No! Show mercy!”
“Damn the Dark Demon Clan! You won’t have a good ending!”
Several curses cut through the air as only a few minutes after the fight started, dozens of Weapon Masters collapsed to the ground, dead.
Although Darian also suffered some injuries, they were all surface-level.
With his Demon Saint strength, he was able to gain the upper hand in the confrontation.
Seeing this, the Dark Demon Clan members behind him cheered. No longer as hesitant, they rushed forward and entered the battlefield.
In complete opposition, the Divine Clan members’ momentum grew weaker.
Some of them wanted to run away, but they were forced to stay under the threatening glares of their respective leaders.
Such a situation made the fight even more chaotic.
The noise caused by the battle quickly spread, prompting more and more people to gather here.
When they saw Darian’s powerful aura, which resembled that of a demon, they didn’t choose to escape but rather to participate.
In the blink of an eye, the situation got out of control.
Several hundred Weapon Masters had gathered in the mountain, and by this point, few people could identify exactly who their opponents were.
Still, the battle continued.
Golden lights flashed, Demon Weapons were brandished, while the blood turned into a sea and slowly spread down the mountain’s base.
The eyes of the Weapon Masters turned red, losing themselves in the bloodlust. Resisting the temptations of their Demon Weapons became increasingly difficult, and some of them even began to kill their own teammates.
When Liora arrived, this was the scene that she witnessed:
Several hundred Weapon Masters were all attacking each other, with a Demon Saint rampaging through the battlefield and killing everyone blocking their path.
Standing in the sky and taking a look below, Liora shook her head and chuckled:
“Interesting…”
“Pretty much everyone in the Demon God’s Cemetery has gathered here. If all these people were to die, the Divine Clans are going to be furious.”
Sensing that the battlefield below was becoming increasingly chaotic, Liora did not stay put.
Following a silver light, an umbrella materialized in her hand before her figure blurred.
When she reappeared, she was standing right at the center of the battlefield.
Her arrival didn’t attract much attention, and no one suspected anything.
Only a few Weapon Masters turned around and attacked her, branding her as their enemy.
However, before these people’s blows could truly reach her, Liora’s hand holding the umbrella lightly shook.
Instantly, several silver lights flashed across its body, and after transforming into silver blades, fell towards her opponents.
Their defenses proved meaningless.
The silver blades cut easily through their bodies and annihilated them from within.
As a crimson saber flashed and returned, their essence turned into Indestructible Matter and supplied Liora with energy.
Liora did not pause to savor her increased power.
She took another step forward as if nothing had happened, wielding her Demon Weapon once again towards those blocking her path.
Very quickly, a small road opened in the otherwise chaotic battlefield. A road connecting Liora and Darian.
Before long, the two were practically next to each other.
However, just when Liora was about to launch an attack, the frenzied expression on Darian’s face changed.
His gaze wandered through the battlefield, and he yelled:
“What are you waiting for? Kill her!”
