Evolution: From Little Devil to Devil Empress - Chapter 341: Going Insane

Chapter 341: Going Insane
“It’s about time for the demi-plane to send people out. Who do you think will be the biggest winner?”
“If you ask me, the most likely person is Darian. Unless everyone bands together, he should be able to suppress everything with his strength.”
“I don’t think so. Mayven showed a great amount of confidence before. I’m afraid that the Ouroboros Clan has something to rely on.”
Outside the Demon God’s Cemetery, several Demon Saints were waiting.
Almost a month had passed since the Weapon Masters were sent in, and by now, it was time for the cemetery to open.
Although the Clan Heads remained silent, the Priests accompanying them did not.
After so many years, the relationship between the Divine Clans was quite complicated.
Some Demon Saints were close friends while others were mortal enemies. Such relationships disregarded the one between the Clans.
There were Demon Saints from the Ouroboros Clan who were friends with the Dark Demon Clan, and the same was true for the Demon Saints of the other Divine Clans.
Just when the Demon Saints were chattering among themselves and making guesses about the outcome, the expressions of the nine Clan Heads suddenly changed.
“It’s time!”, the Swordgod Clan’s Head spoke up, and following his words, his momentum surged.
The same was true for the other Clan Heads, too.
They took action in unison and, just like during the Demon God’s Cemetery’s opening, they shattered space itself and revealed the demi-plane hidden beneath it.
The demi-plane trembled. Only a moment later, several dots rushed out of it and flew towards the main world.
Wandering through the space, they passed through the “gate” that the Clan Heads had opened and exited the space layer.
As soon as the dots emerged, their identities were revealed.
They were the Weapon Masters who had been sent to the Demon God’s Cemetery.
However, none of the Clan Heads were happy with their return.
Too few.
From the almost a thousand participants who had been sent in, less than one hundred had come back.
Moreover, those who did return were weak and currently in a miserable state.
“What happened? Did the Demon God awaken and attack you?”
“Where is everyone? Where is Darian?”, the Head of the Dark Demon Clan caught one of his descendants and asked a barrage of questions.
The latter trembled in fear.
He was originally reluctant to break out the news, but when he sensed the deadly gaze of his Clan’s Head, he mustered the courage and spoke with a trembling voice.
“Dead! All dead! Everyone’s dead!”
“That lunatic killed them! They killed them all!”
His words caused everyone’s expression to shift.
In particular, the hand holding him tightened as the Demon Saint’s pressure grew even stronger and fell on him.
“Who killed them? Who killed Darian?!”, he questioned, but the descendant shook his head and gave a surprising answer.
“I don’t know! I really don’t know! I didn’t see anything!”, he repeatedly shook his head like a mental patient, and it was apparent that the trip to the Demon God’s Cemetery had affected him severely.
Just when the Clan Head was about to press further, and the other Demon Saints were about to question their own descendants, a person among them could no longer keep calm.
“Where is Ophis? Where is my daughter?”, a cold voice cut through the air, and Mayven’s eyes wandered through the returning participants.
His daughter, Ophis, was nowhere to be seen. Did she fail to return? Or…?
Seeing that none of the Ouroboros Clan members dared to say anything, Mayven’s gaze became even colder.
“Didn’t I ask you to protect her? Is this how you’re protecting her?”
“You’ve all returned while her fate is unknown!”
“If that’s the case, what’s the point of keeping you trash alive?”
The moment he finished his words, several explosion sounds echoed.
Under the stunned eyes of everyone, the Ouroboros Clan Weapon Masters all exploded.
Before anyone could comprehend what was happening, Mayven’s gaze drifted towards the Weapon Masters of the other Divine Clans.
The bloodthirsty light in his eyes shocked everyone.
“Mayven! What are you doing? Do you wish to start a Divine Clan war?”
“Don’t forget! The Demon God is about to revive! Do you wish for the world to be destroyed?”, one of the Clan Heads couldn’t help but threaten him.
Unfortunately, his words did not serve to calm down Mayven. If anything, they made him even more frantic.
“What’s the point of this world existing if my daughter is dead?”, he muttered in a low voice before he stared at the Clan Heads with bloodshot eyes.
“It’s you! It’s you!”
“You conspired to kill my daughter! You should all die! You should die!”
The more he spoke, the more deafening Mayven’s voice became. By the end, he was practically screaming with fury.
Before anyone could understand the significance of his words, he turned towards the Ouroboros Clan and stretched his right hand out.
Instantly, the whole Central Area began to shake.
A black light shot out of the Ouroboros Clan, causing the mortals along its path to evaporate. It was not that the light targeted them, but its mere aura was impossible for them to withstand.
As the black light teleported through space, it landed on Mayven’s outstretched hand. Resonating with the weapon, Mayven’s aura became even more terrifying.
A certain shackle on him seemed to have been shattered.
From the original Demon Saint, he quickly became a Demon Sovereign.
“Die! Die! Die!”, he roared and, waving the curved blade in his hand, he targeted the Dark Demon Clan’s Head.
His actions were unacceptable.
“Mayven! You’re crazy! You dare summon the Demon Sovereign Weapon?”, one of them couldn’t help but scream.
Everyone knew what this signified. Things were about to become complicated.
Indeed, faced with Mayven’s attack, the Dark Demon Clan’s Head had no other choice.
Another earthquake occurred in the Central Area.
In the distance, the Dark Demon Clan was devastated. A similar light flew out and teleported in his hands.
Another Demon Sovereign Weapon!
Holding it in his hands, the Dark Demon Clan’s Head urged the gauntlets to defend.
Sensing the fluctuations of their battle, the other Clan Heads were terrified. Without any hesitation, they also summoned their respective Demon Weapons.
Auras surged, lights flickered, while earthquakes of several magnitudes assaulted the Central Area.
Unbeknownst to everyone else, a Greater Devil-level battle was about to take place.
After thousands of years of peace, another Demon Sovereign battle broke out.
