- Chapter 511 511: Invite

“Oh and we raided the Mountains again! We haven’t managed to kill the Boss though but I can now understand the stress you go through my Lord.” Selene said.
It had been an hour since all of them had jumped on him and he had to comfort crying werewolves and even Irene who he had viewed as a very emotionally mature woman was crying as well.
The same was Ravik and his son… It was quite an experience. The werewolf children had clung to his legs. The adults had formed a circle around him like he might disappear again and Marty had been yelping like he was a pup.
Right now, he was in a guest bedroom of the lord’s mansion since their own was unusable at the moment and Selene was clinging to him like her life depended on it.
Her arms wrapped around his torso with her face pressed against his chest. She hadn’t let go once since the crowd dispersed.
Her breathing had finally evened out though, the panicked gasps from earlier settled into calmer breathing.
He couldn’t blame her though.
“Okay, let me get this straight… you guys went deep into the mountains this time and even climbed on an active volcano.” He said. “I’m not here to heal you, what if something serious happened?”
The volcano was no joke… they had managed to outrun it the last time.
She brought out her tongue cutely as she pressed her breasts against his chest. “I have wind… nothing serious happened and we killed enough of those Mountain birds so they haven’t come flying into Lycas for a while.”
The birds had been a persistent nuisance so he was glad that it was wrapped up now.
“I see… You’ve become a model lord.” He patted her head, making her wolf ears twitch in happiness. “Just as I expected.”
Her tail started wagging behind her, practically a blur of motion. The bed shook slightly from the force of it.
“My Lord… tell me what happened to you? Why did you leave us for that long…? Did you forget about us… having fun with your family up there?”
Her voice got quieter on that last part. She wouldn’t admit it but ever since Lillia had come that day and said that he had several women up there, she had been jealous and the past three months he had been gone were spent with her thinking that he had forgotten about her and was spending time with those women up there.
The thought had eaten at her. Late nights wondering if he was laughing with them, holding them, thinking about them instead of her… wondering if she was just the werewolf lord he visited occasionally when convenient.
“I wasn’t actually on the surface as well… I went to the Underworld.” He said and her ears as well as tail immediately stopped moving.
She had completely stilled and even her breathing paused.
Her father had educated her about the Underworld when he was still alive. Everybody in Lycas knew what it was.
The place where sinners went… where demons ruled and where the living shouldn’t tread.
“You went to the place where devil resides and punishes sinners in eternal fire?” She asked as her tail perked up and he gave her a look.
Apart from the sea of Hellspawn and those lawless towns, he actually didn’t have a problem with them and he hadn’t seen this Eternal fire. It wasn’t on the map too.
“You’re misinformed. It’s actually like the world above… in its own way. Were you aware that the skies up there turned red?” He asked and Selene nodded.
“Yes my lord… the skies were red and I, Vargan as well as the others ascended to help with the skeleton monsters that attacked the town.” Selene said then placed a hand on her chin.
She remembered that day clearly and they had gone several other times too just to be sure.
“That was good work.” Azel said.
“We did what we had to do.”
“Yes, they were coming from the Underworld so I went there to stop it…” He said and his palms tightened into a fist.
His knuckles went white. She could feel the tension radiating through his body.
Selene purred as she pressed against him. “I lost Rene… He died, trying to save me…”
She didn’t know who this Rene person was, however she could feel the sadness radiating from him and she sat up properly, making Azel look at her then she pushed his head down making sure he rested on her lap.
“Huh?”
“Please rest my lord.” She said as she ran her hands through his hair, her hands glowed with magic that spread in a way that calmed his head greatly. “Don’t worry about anything right now… you don’t need to tell me. I want you to rest.”
The glow was warm and soothing.
It spread through his scalp like gentle heat, easing tension he hadn’t realized he was carrying. The headache that had been building started to fade and they remained like that for a while. Azel had to admit, it was nice to hear that soothing hum that she was doing.
The melody was simple but effective.
‘I should reward her… for all the work she has done.’ He thought as he looked at her face. She looked really pretty right now.
The angle highlighted her features. The curve of her jaw, the concentration in her eyes as she focused on the healing magic. Her ears were even slightly tilted forward which was a sign of contentment.
“Selene.”
“Yes, my lord.” She stopped and looked at his face. “Ah wait… when did you get long ears?”
“You’re just noticing it. It turns out I’m related to an elf.” He said as he tilted his head and made one twitch. “You like?”
Her tail moved so fast behind her that it had practically become a blur and her ears practically twitched as well.
“Yes my lord, can I touch…?” She asked and he nodded.
Her hand made way to his ear and she touched it, letting the mana seep in. With that, he let out a groan and her face reddened.
It sounded erotic.
Heat flooded her cheeks as she hadn’t expected that reaction… Her heart rate picked up.
She pulled her hand back shyly like a schoolgirl.
“Cute.” She muttered and then looked at Azel in the eyes. “Ah my lord, you were about to say something before.”
“What kind of reward do you want… for being a very efficient lord during my absence. I’ll give you anything you want within my own power.” Azel said and she looked at him.
Her heart hammered… Anything… He’d said anything.
She could literally ask him for anything within his own power and he would give it to her immediately, she gulped a bit.
“A-anything?” She asked and Azel confirmed with a nod. “Then can I give you an heir to the Lycas throne… my lord, will you put your baby in this wife of yours?”
Azel looked a bit conflicted however he leaned close to her, making sure their faces were inches apart.
“Is that what you want…?” He asked and she could feel blood rushing out of her nose, she was having a nose bleed from the hot man in front of her. “Are you okay?”
She wiped it with her hand. “Yes my lord… I’m okay and I’m absolutely sure.”
The blood smeared across her palm which was embarrassing, but she didn’t care… This was her chance.
His hair suddenly began flailing as if something was dragging it with force. She wondered why but Azel pulled his face even closer and their lips brushed.
‘Gwen, calm the hell down.’ He thought, she was pulling his hair as if her life depended on it.
The invisible hands yanked harder in sharp, angry tugs that made his scalp sting.
“I’m not going to let you have sex with another woman right in front of me!” She yelled as she dragged even harder.
‘Finally…’ Selene thought but he suddenly pulled back making her eyes widen.
“Damn… I’m going to miss Dinner. I already promised.” He said as he stood up and adjusted his clothes.
Her heart and face sank. He was going back to that world where she didn’t know if he was going to come back to her. All that stress of thinking… of wondering where he was going to, and if he would even come back again made her heart ache.
He extended his hand to her with a smile. “Want to join me? Irene won’t be making dinner this evening and Lycas can manage without their Lord for some hours.”
She looked at his hand… She couldn’t believe it, he was actually letting her come with, to his world and to see where he spent his time when he wasn’t here.
“Is this real?” She asked.
If this was her reward for being a good lord, then she would be a good lord for as long as she lived. She took his hand and he firmly pulled her off the bed.
“It’s totally real, don’t you think? Let’s go. Right… have the Dars been fed?”
They seemed much bigger than the last time he had seen them but certainly, they weren’t going to evolve like they were Pokemon, were they?
“Yes. We’ve stocked up enough to keep them occupied for a while.” She said and then pulled him toward the room. “Let’s go my Lord…”
She pulled him through the hallway excitedly and kicked open the door of their room, only to blush.
There were so many pictures of Azel everywhere.
“Right, I wanted to ask about these as I saw them when I recently came. Why do you have so many pictures of me in your room-“
She pulled him forward regardless and they walked across the photos.
Her foot landed on one where he was smiling. Another showed him training. A third was him sleeping, which she’d taken without permission.
“I was just remembering how your face looked like… I didn’t do anything with them I swear.” She said.
Her voice pitched higher and turned defensive… She definitely did something with them.
“Okay.” He said and she flinched but they reached the red marking on the wall.
He placed his hand on it and the glow surrounded them as they were swallowed by the light.
…
Both of them appeared in Azel’s room in the mansion, right on the bed where he had kept it before.
The teleportation made her stomach lurch. She stumbled slightly, catching herself on the bedpost. The room spun for a moment before settling.
“My Lord, is this your roo-“
“Yes it is.” He said as he got off the bed and Selene did too, however at that moment, the door opened and Lillia looked at him then at Selene.
The little girl’s eyes narrowed. Her expression shifted from happy to suspicious in an instant then the girl cleared her throat.
“MAMA! PAPA BROUGHT ANOTHER WOMAN HOME!”
Her voice carried through the entire mansion. It was clear and accusatory like she’d caught him committing a crime.
Minutes later, Azel was sitting on the dinner table back where he had been sitting in the afternoon while an extra seat had been pulled out for Selene.
The children were on their own shorter and smaller dining table at the side with Lillia sitting on the head of the table while Feng sat down on the opposite side and Azel gave her a pat.
She was dressed up now with her hair done and a clean cute dress. Edna had made good on her promise… Lillia looked adorable.
“You look cute.” He commented and redness crawled across her face as she turned to the side with a Hmph to hide it then he turned to the main table. Everyone of the girls was giving him a glare, including Anastasia who was supposed to be the calmest.
The temperature in the room had dropped several degrees or maybe that was just his imagination… Probably not though.
“Selene, I think it’s time to introduce yourself.”
Selene stood up. She was wearing one of Azel’s shirts, it was her suggestion. Her breasts pushed outward like sacks and her tail twitched behind her as it swayed left and right and even her ears twitched as well.
The shirt barely fit. It strained across her chest and rode up her thighs. She looked simultaneously nervous and proud, like wearing his clothes was a claim in itself.
“My name is Selene… and I am my Lord’s wife.” She said sounding a bit shy as her tail swayed even more. “He leads our territory of Werewolves and I am the lord when he’s not around but I love him very much and I hope you all will accept me.”
Anastasia cleared her throat.
“Do you have any claim to your marriage?” She asked and the storage ring on her finger glowed as a photo floated out.
Anastasia looked at it and it was a clear picture of the both of them. She made it float and spin slowly so everyone could see it and several glares went to Azel again.
Mira’s jaw tightened… Sybil’s fork bent slightly in her grip and even Stella looked mildly annoyed, which was impressive given how calm she usually was.
“You’re playing with too many women’s hearts…” Edna said with a sigh but she wasn’t surprised.
Selene’s chair was next to hers and she placed her hand on Selene’s. “You can sit dear, that’s how he is. I’m glad we met… and don’t worry, we accept you.”
The girls gave her nods and she blushed.
Some were more reluctant than others but they nodded. The sisterhood of women dealing with the same impossible man.
“Nowwww it’s time to get dinner! Lillia, if you will!” Edna exclaimed and trays floated from the kitchen into the two tables.
In the other table, Feng was with them and he was holding Isolde so Edna didn’t have to worry.
The baby giggled in his arms, reaching for his face with tiny hands. He smiled down at her with the patience of someone who’d become an expert at childcare.
The dining table was soon filled with plates of good food.
“We made a feast so I hope you enjoy.” Edna said then she turned to Selene. “I heard werewolves eat a lot… don’t be afraid to ask for seconds Selene.”
“Okay!” Selene said with a salute.
