First Demonic Dragon - Chapter 1200: Outsourcing A Favor...

Chapter 1200: Outsourcing A Favor…
– A few days later…
Mira opened the door to her bedroom to find her father waiting outside.
He waved at her with a wry look as he held up a plastic tub of cookie dough.
“Morning-”
Mira shut the door in his face.
Abaddon, frozen in place, felt a bit of his soul shatter on the inside.
Just as he turned to leave, the door to Mira’s room opened once again, renewing his face with hope.
This hope was also dashed away as Mira yanked away the cookie dough he carried, then closed the door in his face once again.
It was a hair bit softer this time. So maybe that was progress…
–
Thea’s morning started with a fit of giggles and a few roaming hands.
A young, human Aubrey lay on top of her as they shared sweet words and even sweeter exchanges.
The rest of their family was still asleep from the prior days of nonstop partying, leaving them with this slightly rare moment to themselves.
Thea, her eyes shining as bright as a new moon, sinfully dragged her finger up the arm of her young wife.
Her finger became hooked underneath the strap holding her nightgown in place, and she gave it a subtle tug to reveal her lover’s flawless chest.
As Thea reached for the other strap with a hitch of anticipation in her chest, there was a hard bang at the door, and she stopped in her tracks.
Thea’s eyes went from being filled with lust to being filled with tears.
Aubrey, who found her wife cute in a childish way, was unable to resist a final peck as the door to their room flew open and their own little frequent fliers zoomed in.
“Sh..! Mommies are sleeping…!”
“I’m being quiet, see, I’m not even stepping on the floor…!”
“Awesome sauce…”
Thea pulled away from Aubrey’s warm lips and gave her sons a droll stare.
“Morning, boys… What have we told you about knocking on doors with your heads again..?”
Askari walked across the ceiling, still whispering. “…I forgot.”
“That’s because you keep knocking on doors with your head, hon.”
“Oh…”
Aubrey rolled off Thea’s body and held out her hands.
Askari immediately dropped into her open arms and nuzzled his mother affectionately.
In contrast, Reken landed on Thea’s stomach like a rocket, wrenching a small ’oof’ from her lips.
“I thought you both were supposed to be with your grandparents until tomorrow..?”
“Grandpa said he’d make us rotel dip for breakfast if we gave you this!” Reken brandished a neatly folded letter from the inside of his little overalls.
“You weren’t supposed to mention the cheese dip, genius..!” His brother elbowed him.
Reken developed the same look on his face as a child who’d just wet the bed.
His little hands grabbed Thea by her cheeks as he pressed their faces together.
“There’s no cheese dip, mommy, do you hear me!? No cheese dip!”
“Yes, yes…” Thea rolled her eyes.
Her tail wrapped around her son’s waist and lifted him above her head like a crane.
Aubrey plucked the letter from Reken’s hands and handed it to her lover with a stern expression.
“This has gone on long enough, don’t you think?”
Thea stared at the letter for such an uncomfortably long time that Aubrey actually started to get annoyed.
“…Who wants to go see a movie today??”
The boys gasped.
“”I do, I do, I do!!!”
“Well, we’d better go get ready, don’t you think??”
“I don’t.” Aubrey said firmly.
But the trap was already set.
Not just Thea, but Askari and Reken all gave the young woman the largest, most irresistible puppy-dog eyes that human comprehension could perceive.
Aubrey was blinded by the cute faces of her family. She had no more fight.
Quietly, she rolled over and tucked her body closer to Jazmine’s, who was still sleeping as obliviously as ever.
“…Bring me back some popcorn.”
–
Gabbrielle closed the door to the fridge with a small glass of orange juice in hand.
She used her adult hips to close the refrigerator door and created a curly straw so long that she didn’t need to turn her head to drink.
When she closed the door, she found her father waiting for her with a basket full of delicious things.
“Oh, what am I to do…” He sighed. “I have all of these muffins here, but unfortunately, no one to share them with…”
Gabbrielle’s eyes hardened.
She reached for one on instinct, but stopped her hand before it could reach the delectable morsels.
As she stomped off, the sound of her stomach growling was more than just a little audible.
Abaddon placed the basket on the counter right before he headbutted the granite.
Two hands finally took one of the muffins, but they didn’t belong to their intended recipients.
“Wow… that was so sad.” Straga shook his head pitifully. Courtney nodded in agreement, her cheeks already full.
“It’s almost been a week now…” Abaddon grumbled. “I’ve tried everything I can think of, and they’re just not budging.”
“I would also be pretty pissed if the last time I saw you was when you sent me away to fight some unknown enemy all alone when you knew you were in shit condition.”
Abaddon stared at Courtney hard.
“…Love you though, big guy.” She held up two finger guns.
Abaddon headbutted the counter again.
“I was just trying to be a father.” He replied, brokenly.
Courtney suddenly felt bad for joking at her father’s expense. He seemed much more down about all of this than she had initially anticipated.
Straga ate his muffin, wrapper and all, before he stepped in to give his father some help.
“Look, Dad, you’re on the right path.” He comforted. “If you keep catching them off guard, I’m sure they’ll talk eventually. It’s just that your method has to be a little more direct and leave them with no chance to ignore you.”
Abaddon looked up at his son with suspicious eyes. He was honestly willing to try anything at this point. “What do you have in mind?”
Straga interlocks his fingers and assumes a villain-like posture.
“Well, first things first, we need a way to deal with all three of them at once.. They’ve been spending a lot of time together lately, so that shouldn’t be too hard, but it would still help if we knew when and where they were going to get together… We need something like a mole, or-”
“Hello, guys!! Beautiful day, isn’t it!”
Slowly, everyone turned towards the entrance to the kitchen, where adorable, angelic Daphne had just come in from the garden.
“I picked some sunflowers for everyone! I hope you all like them!”
Straga smiled villainously.
“Checkmate.”
–
Thea, Mira, and Gabbrielle, all walked upstairs into their home observatory.
They appeared to be talking amongst themselves in total secrecy.
“So… where exactly are you thinking..?”
“Somewhere around there, maybe? But then Apophis would notice, and he’d probably start spoiling the surprise before we were ready to show everyone.”
“Brother is easy. We will bribe him with fried meats and melted cheeses, and he will fall in line like a good doggie.”
“…I wasn’t going to say something quite as insulting as that, but she’s right nonetheless.”
The girls had only just started to squeeze through the doorframe when they felt something amiss.
“Now!”
Suddenly, the girls were ensnared from their shoulders to their ankles in black rope.
They were bound so tightly together that they resembled a pack of crayons. The rope seemed to be made of some kind of material that prevented them from shapeshifting as well.
“””Uwaaaahhh!!”””
Like dominoes, the girls fell onto their backs in the center of the room.
They looked up at the culprits with hateful eyes.
“What the fuck, Straga!”
“Why are you tying us up, Courtney!?”
“Nihil, you better run and hide forever because when I get out of here, your ass is grass!”
Courtney was the only participant in this act of treachery who seemed to show anything resembling guilt.
“L-Look, I didn’t have a choice, okay! He said if I didn’t do it then he’d send me back to the adoption agency!”
“This bitch is lying, she folded as soon as dad said he’d make her a private car garage.”
“Stool pigeon!!” Courtney hissed.
Nihil shrugged. “I didn’t really have to be bribed, I kind of just thought it would be funny. And what do you know? I was correct. Again.”
“I also thought this would be very funny.” Straga nodded in agreement.
“Alright, alright, enough.”
Abaddon stepped out of the shadows in the room. “That will be all, kids. Thanks.”
Straga and Nihil took pictures of the girls all tied up before they walked away.
Courtney started to follow them, but looked back one last time to give her father a thumbs up for good luck.
Smiling to himself, Abaddon watched them all leave before he made his grand move.
He sat down on the floor next to his daughters.
Reclining back, he placed his body against the cool floor and suppressed a chill.
The girls all waited for their father to begin his plea for forgiveness.
But he didn’t say anything at all. He simply stared at the ceiling and allowed the time to pass them all by.
