First Demonic Dragon - Chapter 966 - 966: Rechristened

“You dropped a bomb on me~ baby..! You dropped a bomb on me~”
Asherah swayed back and forth between the confines of her home. Bekka’s headphones covered her ears as she swept.
She seemed to be having a good time and in a world of her own so much so that she didn’t notice when a red light crept in from outside.
Asherah only paused to take off the headphones when she noticed an indomitable heat spilling into the home from outside.
She poked her head through the window and smiled when she saw the ocean of blood that had been stagnant for a long time suddenly showing signs of activity.
“Oh, that’s a pity… they’ll be sad they missed this.” Asherah said sadly.
She put down her broom and wandered outside as the heat started to die down.
A great pillar of blood rose into the sky. Nearly as large as the tree that once stood here.
And oddly familiar as well to boot…
Suddenly, the pillar split open and a figure emerged from the depths.
While surrounded by sanguine and scarlet, she alone was pure.
A figure as white as milk and as graceful as a swan descended from the top of the pillar.
She was as bare as the day she arrived in this world. Her body was slightly less defined than before. Giving her a softer, more toned appearance.
As she came closer, Asherah could see the additional pair of horns that had sprouted from her head.
A cascading wave of white hair fell all the way down to her ankles.
Just above her butt swung a large tail. Pure and white like the rest of her body, but also with a row of fur running from the base to the tip.
The closer she came to Asherah, the more she was in awe of her beauty.
Cherry red lips and eyes that were supple and contained a soft allure.
Her very skin was like velvet to the touch and smelled faintly of a sweet red wine.
Asherah held out her arms for her like a welcoming mother.
Even though she was well over eight feet in height, in front of Asherah she seemed to be no more imposing than a little girl.
Asherah took her face in her hands and smiled adoringly.
“I see you found that little girl again. I’m assuming new purpose was discovered with her?”
Seras held onto Asherah’s hands and smiled warmly.
“…My charge is to be the flame that sets ablaze the timbers of supremacy. Let the warmth of my flames be the reminder that no mortal is greater than his brother.
And let the retribution I bring be a constant reminder of the danger of trampling over others. I will be their watcher.
And when the hands of Justice can not reach them to exact fairness, I will be waiting to take from them the very blood I have given.”
“And your war?” Asherah asked with intrigue.
“My War…”
Seras paused and her eyes became lost for a moment.
Asherah watched as she took out both halves of her spear and handed it to her. “A gift for me..?”
“I don’t need it anymore.” Seras shook her head. “I no longer seek war. Only Anarchy. For that, I will have need of a different instrument when the time comes. But for now…”
Seras smiled innocently as her body was covered by a simple red robe.
“I just… really want to see my family again.”
Asherah’s smile mirrored Seras’ own. Her many blue eyes sparkled with clear praise.
“You have always had such a sweet soul, Seras… I think that your new role will fit you extremely well. And I know your family has missed you just as much as you’ve missed them.”
Seras felt a presence appear behind her.
Tears were already in her eyes even before she looked back.
She stumbled to her feet and ran head-on into the arms of a man she never stopped thinking of.
Ironically, he froze a bit when he saw her. Abaddon was stunned not just by her beauty and youthful soul, but her complete overhaul in demeanor.
Even the way that she was dressed was different. Abaddon hadn’t seen Seras in anything this fancy ever since Thea’s wedding.
Seras felt another pair of arms wrap around her from behind. Her heart felt like it was going to burst out of her chest with song.
A pink tint rose in Seras’ cheeks as Bekka buried her head in her neck. The feeling of her warm breath against her scales was infinitely more intoxicating than what she remembered.
“You should know that… we didn’t leave your side once the whole time.” Bekka said breathlessly. “T-The only reason why we weren’t here when you woke up was because-“
“The girls wanted to see the kids for a bit and Bekka wanted barbecue chips.” Abaddon answered.
“I promise I’ll let you have some though…” Bekka volunteered apologetically.
Seras giggled adorably as she tried to pull both of them deeper into her skin. “Thank you, but for right now… this is all I want.”
Abaddon and Bekka were not necessarily unaccustomed to Seras saying sweet things, but this was definitely one of the few times where it caught them entirely by surprise.
The softness within her voice made her almost not sound like herself.
“…Are you sure you’re feeling alright, love?” Abaddon asked warily.
Seras looked up at him and smiled. “I don’t look alright?”
“N-No, you definitely do…”
Seras’ cheeks turned bright pink again.
She placed one of her hands on her husband’s chest and stared up at him with a complicated gaze.
“It may be silly of me to ask, but… you will always love me no matter what, right?”
“Of course… You are everything to me. I will love you no matter what path or form you choose to take.”
Seras beamed with pride.
“As long as you don’t go vegan.” Bekka added.
“Right, that’s a complete non-starter.” Abaddon nodded in unison.
“…” Seras’ smile was no longer a smile.
–
Tatiana was one of the first to come back after a quick visit home.
When she arrived, the last thing she expected to find was her husband and her wife groaning on the ground while they held their heads.
Standing above them was perhaps the single most beautiful woman that she had ever laid eyes on.
When Seras turned around and the pair locked eyes, Tatiana’s nose immediately sprang a leak.
“I guess that means you like what you see?”
Tatiana nodded slowly.
Seras rushed to embrace her, uncaring of the nosebleed that was currently making its way down her chest.
However, upon making contact, Tatiana’s nosebleed inexplicably worsened.
As good as Seras looked, she felt even better. Hugging her was better than hugging god. Literally.
“I wanted to say thank you…” Seras squeezed Tatiana’s neck.
“F-F-F-For what..?” It was taking every ounce of restraint Tatiana had not to put her hands in places where they didn’t belong.
“Nothing in particular.” Seras grinned softly as she closed her eyes. “Just being a source of inspiration for me is all. I’m… honestly not sure I would have reached this place if I didn’t have you to call on for inspiration.”
Tatiana finally tore her mind away from Seras’ behind. “Really? Just me?”
Seras hooked her thumb over her shoulder. “Well, there’s Thing One and Thing Two over there, but they’re on my shit list right now so I’m not thanking them for anything.”
Bekka and Abaddon finally managed to pull their heads up from the ground. “”WE WERE ONLY JOKING!””
Their cries landed on deaf ears. Seras just flipped them off instead.
“So, you’re…” Tatiana began.
“The same.” Seras shrugged. “Or maybe even a little better than before.”
Tatiana finally worked up the courage to place her hand on Seras’ chest. She barely resisted the urge to grope her while doing so.
“You feel… different.” She lifted her gaze. “What exactly happened to you, love..?”
Seras smiled wryly. “I just… had to let go of something that was no longer a part of what I wanted for myself. I thought long and hard about how best to renew my existence between the wife, the mother, the daughter, and the warrior, and I settled on…”
“Anarchy…” Tatiana finally sensed.
Seras smiled wryly. “It may not be seen as a force of good like you, but I believe that..”
Tatiana placed her hand on Seras’ cheek. “Everything has it’s place, my darling. The only thing that matters is that you are happy with the path you’ve chosen.”
At that moment, Seras smiled with an light that Tatiana had never seen before.
It was pure and cheerful- not quite innocent, but more than anything it was inviting and genuine.
“I-I’m sure that you already know this, but… you truly do look beautiful.” Tatiana said nervously.
Seras was surprised to see this reaction from her, as Tatiana was usually the one to say what she wanted whenever she wanted without thinking too much about anything else.
Seeing her love become meek in front of her was certainly a new experience.
“…Are you going to do something about it?”
Seras guided Tatiana’s hands below her waist. Her pale blue skin nearly turned purple from the influx of blood in her cheeks.
Tatiana’s breathing became heavy before she realized it. “I…”
“You both are so cute.”
Asherah popped up out of nowhere, a warm, motherly smile on her face that didn’t fit the atmosphere.
Tatiana and Seras were suddenly and rudely reminded that they were not at home.
“Please, don’t let me interrupt. You may continue.” She grinned.
“”…””
