First Immortal of the Sword - Chapter 2568 - Blasted to Bits One-Handed

Chapter 2568 – Blasted to Bits One-Handed
Great fortune!
The Heaven-Trampling Chaos King’s mountainously fat frame silently stiffened. His gaze turned toward Su Yi, and irrepressible shock and fury appeared on his face.
The other chaos fiends reacted as if struck by lightning. Their eyes bulged. How is this possible? The Lucky Die belongs to the chaos fiends. It’s been under the Heaven-Trampling Chaos King’s control since it first came into being.
Yet now, their Taboo Treasure seemed to have turned on them. It had betrayed the Heaven-Trampling Chaos King at a critical juncture!
“This…” The Master Gods were gobsmacked.
The Heaven-Trampling Chaos King had personally joined the competition, leaving the onlookers’ hearts quivering with fright.
Who could have imagined that this would happen?
The silver-robed man murmured, “I was wrong. This little trinket is far more obedient than any grandson.”
The jeer left the chaos fiends’ expressions increasingly unsightly.
“You cannot keep gambling with him!” shouted Chaos King Jin Xiao. “Can’t you see that the Lucky Die is no longer under your control?”
The atmosphere was oppressive.
After a moment’s silence, the Heaven-Trampling Chaos King shook his head. “Our match has already begun. It’s too late to turn back. If I do….”
He trailed off, but everyone understood. If he backed out now, the consequences would be dire!
“Let’s move on to the second round, then,” Su Yi said casually.
It was just one light, airy sentence, but the chaos fiends felt immense pressure bearing down on them!
“Very well!” The Heaven-Trampling Chaos King took a deep breath, his skin and flesh undulating like tidewaters. Wisps of profound light visible to the naked eye rose from his pores, and his presence silently transformed.
The crowd wasn’t at all affected, but everyone realized that he was about to go all out! He’d obviously drawn on some sort of mystical power to increase his control over the Lucky Die.
The reason was easily guessed; he’d lost the first of their three matches. If he lost even one of the next two rounds, he’d lose the whole match!
Weng!
When the Heaven-Trampling Chaos King’s aura transformed, the Lucky Die shook violently, the resplendent light of luck rising from its surface.
Mystical and strange.
“This time, I’ll bet on supreme fortune again,” said the Heaven-Trampling Chaos King.
“And I’ll bet on great fortune again,” said Su Yi.
The crowd stirred, their hearts tense.
The second round would determine whether the Heaven-Trampling Chaos King ultimately won or lost!
If he won, there was hope of turning things around, but if he lost, there’d be no need for a third round!
Weng!
The Lucky Die spun like mad, shrouded in misty light.
The crowd was astonished to discover that two different powers seemed to be pulling on it with all their might. One of them obviously belonged to the Heaven-Trampling Chaos King, but the other…
…most certainly didn’t belong to Su Yi. It belonged to the Lucky Die itself!
To the onlookers, it seemed that the Heaven-Trampling Chaos King was doing his utmost to control the Lucky Die, but it was resisting with all its might and struggling to break free of his control!
Su Yi, meanwhile, acted like a bystander. He just stood there calmly, watching as all of this played out.
It’s already obvious who’s superior. The silver-robed man shook his head. Su Yi might well be using some sort of power to force the Lucky Die to do his bidding, but he isn’t controlling it by force.
The Heaven-Trampling Chaos King is different. He’s going all out to control the Lucky Die, only for it to resist fiercely!
The silver-robed man wasn’t the only one who’d realized this. The others saw it too, and their expressions shifted.
Time slipped by.
The Lucky Die’s struggles intensified. It shook violently.
The Heaven-Trampling Chaos King was clearly exerting himself. Veins bulged on his forehead, and his features were hideously contorted. HIs eyes shone with madness.
His blood and qi coursed through him like a raging tidal wave.
Finally——
Su Yi said calmly, “You can’t cut it.”
Before his voice had even finished echoing through the air… Bang!!
A massive impact resounded throughout the hall with an eruption of firelight. The Lucky Die suddenly seemed to break free of its fetters, and it silently stopped, “good fortune” facing up.
The Heaven-Trampling Chaos King grunted in agony as if suffering a backlash. His enormous frame swayed, and he staggered three steps backward, almost falling onto his butt.
By the time he’d steadied himself, he looked deeply exhausted. Blood flowed from the corner of his mouth, and his face was pale.
When he next looked at Su Yi, his gaze was full of deep-seated astonishment, bewilderment, and bitterness. Just… just how did he pull that off!?
A deathly silence fell over the room. Everyone stared intently at the Lucky Die.
The Heaven-Trampling Chaos King lost! He even suffered a backlash and coughed up blood!
This outcome was entirely unexpected.
The most unbelievable part was that from beginning to end, Su Yi just stood there, not moving a muscle, yet he’d won repeatedly and emerged as the final victor!
When they looked at the utterly wretched Heaven-Trampling Chaos King, even the Chaos Fiends were at a loss for words.
“Want to play a third round?” asked Su Yi. He sloshed his jug of wine and discovered that he’d almost hit the bottom.
“Yes! The Heaven-Trampling Chaos King gnashed his teeth, his eyes bloodshot. “Even if I cannot turn things around, I want to do everything in my power to win at least once!”
His aura was utterly terrifying, the very picture of a gambler staking everything on a single bet. He seemed downright frenzied.
Su Yi gazed intently at him. He’s bitter, not just because he lost those bets, but because he’s lost control over the Lucky Die.
“Alright, let’s gamble one more time.” Su Yi casually agreed.
The Heaven-Trampling Chaos King gnashed his teeth. “I’m betting on supreme fortune again this time!”
“I won’t change my bet either,” said Su Yi. “I’m sticking with great fortune.”
The atmosphere was so tense that many of the onlookers found it hard to believe.
By this point of the battle, the chaos fiends had lost faith in the Heaven-Trampling Chaos King. Their hearts were heavy and full of frustration, but they dared not say anything.
Soon, the Lucky Die was spinning once more.
The Heaven-Trampling Chaos King circulated the full extent of his cultivation base, giving it his all. Every inch of his skin quivered and erupted with dazzling, blood-red Dao Light.
But in the end… he still lost!
The Lucky Die seemed born for treachery and determined to oppose its master.
Splurt!
When the Lucky Die settled on “great fortune,” the Heaven-Trampling Chaos King shook uncontrollably and coughed up blood. His face was instantly as white as a sheet.
“Impossible!”
The Heaven-Trampling Chaos King completely lost control. He reached for the Lucky Die. “This is my Taboo Treasure! The chaos fiends’ treasure of luck! No one can take it away!”
The Lucky Die spun, erupted with light, and vanished from the Heaven-Trampling Chaos King’s hand.
“No!” The Heaven-Trampling Chaos King frantically tried to seize it, only for it to dodge each and every time. His hands hit nothing but air.
This just provoked him even more, making his face all the more hideously contorted. He pointed at Su Yi, completely berserk, and shouted, “You did this! It was you!”
“….” Su Yi didn’t know what to say. A mental breakdown?
“Are you a sore loser?” The silver-robed man laughed.
The Heaven-Trampling Chaos King took a step forward, raised his cattail-leaf-sized hand, and swung it at Su Yi. His eyes blazed like erupting volcanos.
This sudden development left everyone present startled. None of them would have guessed that the lofty Heaven-Trampling Chaos King would lose control like this over a lost bet.
Boom!!
The entire hall shook violently, and countless mysterious, ancient formation markings rose into the air. All of the Master Gods felt the impact, and they immediately moved further away.
But it was Su Yi who felt the brunt of the impact.
Except that he still just stood there, the depths of his gaze as still as the waters of an ancient well. He just raised his hand and clenched his fist.
Boom!
Terrifying sword intent surged around his tall, upright figure. His essence, qi, and spirit seemed to catch ablaze. His No Attachment, No Form cultivation base and Heart Soul fused into his fist.
Even the Sword of the Nine Hells floating in his sea of consciousness suddenly let out a clear hum.
He swung his fist like a deity beating a heavenly drum!
The crowd felt prickling pain in their eyes. That mysterious, terrifying, unparalleled sword force suppressed their bodies and souls.
The silver-robed man gasped and took a step back, arriving in front of the gathered Master Gods. A green marking appeared in all thirteen holes of his bamboo flute, pouring down like a waterfall to create a barrier.
He’d only just finished it when Su Yi’s fist clashed with the Heaven-Trampling Chaos King’s palm strike.
Boom!
A massive impact shook the entire room, reducing all of its furniture to powder.
The formations covering the stone pillars took terrifying damage. It was as if nine divine mountains had been plunged into the sea, creating massive tidal waves.
Many of the chaos fiends couldn’t dodge or flee in time. The aftermath swept them up and sent them flying.
Indomitable sword qi scattered, and the sound of shattering bones rang out.
The crowd watched as the Heaven-Trampling Chaos King’s palm shattered beneath Su Yi’s fist, followed by the rest of his arm.
As blood splattered the air, Su Yi’s fist slammed into the Heaven-Trampling Chaos King’s enormous body.
Bang!!
Flesh and blood split and broke.
An agonized cry rang out as the Heaven-Trampling Chaos King’s soul origin appeared, swathed in golden chaos light. Moments later, it slammed into the palace walls, shaking the entire building.
Dust and smoke permeated the air. When everyone saw what was happening, they were struck dumb.
And overcome with shock!
Su Yi just stood there, barely moving, yet his fist was like a hammer. He’d blasted the ruler of the Heaven-Combating Hidden Realm, the Heaven-Trampling Chaos King, to bits!
Who wouldn’t have been shocked by this bloody, tyrannical strike?
“This is just…” The silver-robed man almost cursed.
The aftershock alone had been enough to destroy the barrier created by his jade flute!
Fortunately, the barrier neutralized most of the impact, preventing him and the Master Gods from getting hurt.
When they looked at the palace, they saw that many of the chaos fiends were in bad shape. All of them had been injured by the aftershock!
The palace still shook, and the floor was covered in blood and rubble.
Su Yi lowered his hand, brushed off his clothes, drained the last drops of wine, and said, “You lost. Now it’s time to pay up.”
