First Immortal of the Sword - Chapter 2692 - Those White Clothes

Chapter 2692 – Those White Clothes
The ten or so Heavenly Monarchs could all travel the Eternal Heavens Domain unimpeded. They were top experts of the Eternal Dao, all of them with extraordinary experiences. Moreover, their combat experience was so abundant that to them, fighting was as commonplace as eating and drinking.
They didn’t waste any time talking. When Meng Tianya attacked from afar, the others instantly readied themselves for battle.
It was better safe than sorry.
Su Yi might have looked like a fish on the chopping block, ready to be slaughtered as they saw fit, but none of them would relax until they’d taken him down.
Meng Tianya’s simple gesture shook the entire God Domain, affecting the entire world. His power was unbelievable; it really seemed as if he’d blanketed the skies of the entire God Domain with a single hand!
And all of that power was targeted at Su Yi.
Su Yi watched all of this in calm silence, his vital energy rumbling and booming within him. The Chaos Seedling rooted in his Sea of Chaos suddenly seemed to ignite.
This was his foundation in the Eternal Dao. All he needed to do was activate a forbidden technique, and he could unleash strength far greater than his usual limit at the cost of destroying his cultivation base.
He didn’t find it a pity, nor did he hesitate. In the face of life and death, Su Yi had never concerned himself with such things.
There was no way he’d just sit there and wait to die.
But it was then that something unexpected happened, or rather, that three unexpected developments happened at once.
First, a tall, thin, dreamlike figure appeared on the Five Elements Altar. She crouched beside him, then placed a slender, jade-like hand on Su Yi’s shoulder.
“I’m sorry. I arrived late,” she whispered. A voice as sweet and clear as spring water resounded through Su Yi’s heart.
There was a hint of a guilty conscience on her beautiful face.
As she spoke, power flooded into Su Yi’s body, enveloping his freshly ignited foundations in the Grand Dao. His Sea of Chaos instantly quieted, interrupting the forbidden technique he’d been about to unleash.
When he looked at the familiar figure now close at hand, he was unwittingly stunned.
It was Xi Ning!
Meanwhile, just as Xi Ning appeared on the platform, within the miniature hidden realm, Lin Jinghong clenched her teeth and pulled a purple talisman out of her sleeve.
It was tiny, just three inches long, and carved with two strange characters not of this world. They read, “Lin Xun.”
Lin Jinghong took out her strongest killer weapon without hesitation, only to pause and exclaim, “Eh?” a moment later.
Meanwhile, a black sheep silently emerged from the darkness, her gaze eerie, and raised her right hoof.
But before she could do anything else, that hand reaching for Su Yi from the dome of heaven shattered in midair.
Strangest of all, that palm was powerful enough to destroy the entire God Domain, yet when it shattered, its power vanished, as if silently erased.
The black sheep was stunned. She suddenly looked up, then saw that a woman had appeared beside Su Yi.
The sheep’s heart shook. Was that her doing?
Silently neutralizing a Heavenly Monarch’s attack wasn’t overly difficult. The really surprising part was that no one had sensed the woman’s arrival. That was far too unbelievable!
The black sheep wondered, Who is that woman?
Lin Jinghong, the black sheep, Xi Ning.
These three variables arose all at once. The first two were just about to take action when they stopped at a critical juncture.
Because someone else had silently erased the lethal strike about to reach Su Yi!
“Hm?” Meng Tianya’s brow furrowed.
The other Heavenly Monarch’s eyes flashed like lightning as they all looked in the same place.
All of them saw that a woman had appeared beside Su Yi, seemingly out of nowhere. She was dressed in white, with blood-red plum blossom markings floating over her clothing, like burning tears of blood.
That tall, graceful figure then sat cross-legged on the ground, but she still had an air of extraordinary, transcendent elegance.
Her long hair was tied into a casual bun, with an angled bamboo hairpin holding it in place, revealing her supremely beautiful face.
Her whole body was swathed in a rain of light, making her seem misty and ethereal.
Who is that? The Heavenly Monarch’s eyes flashed.
The black sheep silently vanished, retreating into the darkness.
And within that miniature hidden realm, Lin Jinghong silently put that purple talisman away, then patted her chest.
Inwardly, she sighed in relief. Phew. If Mom found out I’d shattered the talisman Father gave me, she’d be terrified that something happened to me. Who knows how frantic she’d be then…?
The young monk, meanwhile, looked uncharacteristically solemn. He’d realized that the situation had changed!
Meanwhile, atop the Five Elements Altar.
Xi Ning disregarded everything happening outside. It was as if she only had eyes for Su Yi.
She said with tenderness and guilt, “Xi Ning told me that she’d planned to come with you, and that you agreed, but my problems delayed her.”
Only then did Su Yi realize that this wasn’t really Xi Ning, but rather… her past self!
The mysterious Su Wanjun!
Su Yi didn’t even need to think to know that Xi Ning had asked her to intervene. She wanted to help him survive the Battle for Order!
“You…” Su Yi’s heart churned with emotion, and he was just about to say something when Su Wanjun gently interrupted him.
“You helped Xi Ning so many times. Now, it’s time I helped you. From this moment forth, just focus on what you need to do.” With that, she silently rose. Her presence underwent a formless shift, the tenderness in her gaze replaced with cold indifference.
It was as if she’d become a completely different person.
From beginning to end, the yellow finch just watched. Now, when it sensed Xi Ning’s changes, the Patrolling Spirit born of the natural order trembled from head to toe.
It could sense that if this mysterious, transcendent woman wanted it dead, she could kill it instantly!
Beneath the dome of heaven, Meng Tianya and the other Heavenly Monarchs shook, bewildered expressions on their faces.
Su Wanjun’s aura wasn’t overly shocking. Her presence was muted, as if shrouded in misty rain.
But when they looked at her, even the Heavenly Monarchs felt intense pressure bearing down on them.
As Heavenly Fate Realm experts, they naturally understood the implications. This woman was dangerous!
But they didn’t retreat. For one thing, they were confident in their cultivation bases. For another, all of them had suppressed their cultivation bases. If they unsealed them and went all out, there was no guarantee they’d lose.
Most importantly, they had Heavenly Sovereigns overseeing things from the endless spacetime void!
“Who are you? Dare you tell us your name?” said Madam Purple Blue. Her purple and blue swords spun around her, gathering power and ready to strike. She didn’t dare to be the least bit complacent.
Far too many variables had arisen today.
First, the thin old man and the middle-aged man had appeared and attacked them on the River of Destiny.
Then, Xiao Jian showed up, practically turning the situation on its head.
Now, just as they were about to pluck Su Yi’s ripe Dao Fruit, a mysterious, transcendent woman appeared out of nowhere!
The crux of the matter was that none of them recognized her. They had no memory of anyone like this on the River of Destiny.
Su Wanjun took a step forward, arriving beneath the dome of heaven. Her robes danced around her, sleeves billowing as she pointed to the endless void. “Go wait for me over there. I’ll give you a chance to die at peak strength.”
Her soft, clear voice was now as cold and sharp as the edge of a sword.
A golden-robed, white-haired elder holding twin short halberds couldn’t help but burst into sputtering laughter. “What a joke! You—”
Before he could finish his sentence, he flew through the air, hurled into the distant void.
The words “What a joke!” still echoed through the air.
The other Heavenly Monarch’s expressions were as solemn as could be. Chills coursed down their spines.
They could clearly see that this otherworldly, transcendent woman had merely raised and swung her hand, but that had been enough to send the golden-robed old man flying out of the God Domain and into the endless void beyond!
“Come back. In that shallow pond, you’re no match for her.” Heavenly Sovereign Ling suddenly issued a decree, his voice emanating from the void.
Madam Purple Blue, Meng Tianya, and the others turned without hesitation.
It was just as Heavenly Sovereign Ling said. Here, they had to suppress their cultivation bases. They couldn’t unleash their full strength.
Su Wanjun gazed into the distant void.
The four Heavenly Sovereigns were looking at her, but her gaze was focused on Xiao Jian.
Xiao Jian was like a dried-up, yellow leaf, his life force depleted. It wasn’t just his body, either; his essence, qi, and spirit were depleted, too.
There was no coming back from this!
Su Wanjun sighed to herself.
She took a step forward, then arrived in that miniature hidden realm.
The young monk shook from head to toe, his expression unprecedentedly solemn.
“You go too,” said Su Wanjun. She was looking at the young monk’s left hand, which glowed with subtle, flickering golden light.
Only then did the young monk realize that the dozen-or-so treasures had been sealed. They just hovered quietly in midair.
The miniature hidden realm had silently vanished.
The monk turned and left without another look, reappearing in the distant void in a flash.
“Why let him go, Senior?” Lin Jinghong couldn’t help but ask.
Su Wanjun looked at her with a rare hint of tenderness. “If we fought here, it would destroy the God Domain and interfere with Su Yi’s business. I can’t relax and go all out here, either.”
She gazed into the distant dome of heaven. “It’s only there that I can really fight.”
Lin Jinghong instantly understood.
Su Wanjun said solemnly, “If you see your father again, greet him on my behalf. Tell him that Su Wanjun will never forget what he’s done for her.”
Lin Jinghong was stunned. Su Wanjun?
Before she could ask any further questions, that woman of unsurpassed charm, beauty, and comportment vanished.
A single step carried her all the way into the endless void, directly beside Xiao Jian.
The four Heavenly Sovereigns gazed coldly at this uninvited guest.
The Heavenly Monarchs watched from not far away, all of them circulating the full extent of their cultivation base.
The young monk watched Su Wanjun from further away, his gaze shifting and uncertain.
He’d originally planned to leave and avoid this battle altogether, but much to his surprise, murderous intent had locked onto him, following him wherever he went.
Despite his current cultivation base, he couldn’t shake it off!
The atmosphere was stifled and oppressive, but Su Wanjun didn’t seem to notice.
An invisible aura surged from her graceful, extraordinary figure. Her unknown cultivation base soared, as if she’d undone a seal.
