Genetic Ascension - Chapter 1649 Irony [Bonus]

Chapter 1649 Irony [Bonus]
[Bonus thanks to Bryson_Clark 🙂 you’re very lucky the eagles put lions nation in their place. Have a great day, buddy] For some reason, the screams shook Robareda to her core. It felt like Sylas had something to do with it even though she couldn’t even begin to prove it. She couldn’t understand where the feeling was coming from, but she just… knew it.
It had to be him. It couldn’t possibly be anyone else’s fault.
And now this beast was eyeing her down.
His expression was unreadable, his gaze completely indifferent. Slowly, gold began to take over his vision….
And then those slits appeared in his eyes.
BANG!
Robareda collapsed to a knee. As though a heavy mountain had fallen from above, she couldn’t even begin to resist.
BANG!
Her head fell to the ground next.
Somehow, it felt like it was both telekinesis and not.
Lost in all the shuffle of everything else was maybe the greatest thing Sylas had gained…
[Profession: Vipermancer (Silver (E))]
It had been a long while since Vipermancer upgraded to Bronze. But just now, it had upgraded to Silver.
It might not be able to completely suppress any E-tier Serpentes it came across…
But it was damn close.
Closer than Robareda was capable of dealing with.
She wasn’t even a full Serpentes, but her Jade Race, something that had always been her pride, had become her downfall.
She might not have been a true Serpentes, but she had embodied it so perfectly through the help of her Race that she was little different from one… so much so that Vipermancy targeted her all too perfectly.
Sylas reached down and grabbed her by her neck. He could see her long, pointed ears twitching in agitation, but she couldn’t even begin to fight back against Sylas’ Will… Not after it, too, had been considerably upgraded.
Robareda’s stats were around two million as well, and her Will should have been four times that of Sylas’ current Will stat.
Yet it didn’t matter in the slightest.
What was her Enlightening Will to his Infinite Will? To his Champion Will? To his command over this world and his Primus Imperium Crown?
This woman had quite some nerve sending her little love soldiers after Nosphaleen.
When Sylas fell unconscious, he didn’t calculate that Nosphaleen would face so much oppression. While he did guess that the 064 Sanctum might try something, he hadn’t calculated for the 002 Sanctum’s appearance.
Without it, Nosphaleen wouldn’t have been under nearly as much pressure, and Sylas wouldn’t have had to offend whomever Starrell’s backers were in order to wake up earlier.
Not only had this woman earned him an A-tier as an enemy, but likely an even worse enemy.
The other foot for Starrell had yet to fall, and Sylas would never waste the mental space on regretting something he had already done, but that didn’t mean that he wouldn’t get revenge for it.
And for what exactly? Because she wanted Nosphaleen?
Interesting.
Sylas’ claws ripped through Robareda’s throat.
Her eyes opened wide, her breathing coming out in hacks and wheezes as though she hadn’t believed that she would ever die like this.

Her eyes opened wide, her breathing coming out in hacks and wheezes as though she hadn’t believed that she would ever die like this.
Wasn’t she too beautiful? Too talented? Who didn’t dote on her?
Didn’t he know that people were watching? Had he not already angered the 001 Sanctum enough? He wanted to infuriate the 002 Sanctum as well as everyone who ever had a good impression of her as well?
What was he-?!
Her head was ripped from her shoulders, suffocating what was left of her thoughts. Sylas threw her body into his Madness Key.
Since she was so interested in dissecting people, he didn’t mind teaching her a lesson in what real dissection looked like.
Sylas hadn’t expected the Life Seal to have such benefits. He had tried to use it in battle on a whim and the result had spoken for itself. Without it, it would have taken him hours more, if not days more, to kill Amende.
Originally, what shocked Sylas about the Life Seal was that he could potentially use it to shrink and compress Genes, allowing him to create a method whereupon he could store Genes more powerful than his body could withstand on its own within him.
But because of the unique situation in the world around them, Sylas had actually been able to use the Life Seal as an attack, restricting certain aspects of Amende’s bloodline before he could react.
The real reason Amende’s arms and chest exploded was because Sylas had restrained the Genes responsible for his overwhelming Constitution, causing it to grow at a rate slower than his power output.
His heart literally burst because the walls couldn’t withstand the pressure of his blood, while his tendons tore apart partially because Sylas had been whittling down their Constitution as well.
If the Life Seal was so useful in battle, how much more useful would it be against an opponent that couldn’t fight back?
The Jade Race’s ability to morph into any Path they chose was something only superseded by the Analei’s ability to reincarnate and take new Paths as they pleased.
That was an ability that sounded quite useful for a Mesmeryx and their illusions, now didn’t it?
Sylas wasn’t above this level of pettiness.
He looked up toward the other members of the 002 Sanctum looking toward him in horror, but he only swept a
gaze over them.
“Let’s go,” Sylas said.
“Yes, master.”
Nosphaleen disappeared into the Hibernation Realm and Sylas directly gave up on the rest of the battle. It would be a waste of his time to stay here for any longer. There was nothing else to gain, and right now… understanding the situation in the outside world was more valuable to him.
**
Gralith roared, ripping his other arm free, and then his leg. The world shook around him, and the heat of a star and poison the likes of which could wipe out entire Sectors tried to suppress him at every turn.
And yet, he tilted his head up and inhaled.
The 001 Sanctum, the 007 Sanctum, and the 073 Sanctum all began to shake, the violet moons of their Scorpion
Lineages roaring.
In a blink, their spirits soared out, leaving them broken and hollow.
They crossed the horizons of the universe so fast it broke far beyond the limits of light.
