Genetic Ascension - Chapter 1752 Welcome [Bonus]

Chapter 1752 Welcome [Bonus]
[Leave me alone, for god’s sake]
Gralith stood with his aura billowing. He could feel his foundation expanding, his power spilling over in ways he couldn’t fathom.
Ever since he had retrieved his Scorpion Spirits, he had improved a great deal that much was undeniable. But this was still akin to giving a tiger wings.
In fact, he couldn’t stop it even if he wanted to.
His aura spilled over, his C-tier Foundation reaching perfection as he cracked the barrier to B-tier. It was all so natural, so smooth, that the atmosphere hardly fluctuated at all.
Ekear looked over at his master with a hint of surprise in his eyes.
A smooth breakthrough into the B-tier was something only the strongest talents beneath Demi-Godhood could reach.
Gralith was “only” a member of an A-tier Race, which meant that reaching the A-tier wasn’t a guarantee—it was already the ceiling of their potential. By the same logic, reaching the B-tier, though it should be assured for a good percentage of their population, was still quite a tough mountain to scale.
Such a smooth transition to B-tier guaranteed reaching the A-tier in the future, though it would take time.
Just what had Sylas done?
The Karma of the 001 Sanctum had already undergone a huge change thanks to Sylas, but that change would take time to come to fruition, and it would also put them in great danger.
However, it also had to be remembered that much of the Emperor Sanctum’s Karma had been stolen due to Rhykan’s schemes. Because of this, they had created a merit-based system where large parts of their Karma could sway at any time, and toward any Sanctum, dependent on feats.
What did this mean?
On the one hand, this was a large part of the reason Sylas was able to do all of this. He didn’t have to go to the Emperor Sanctum itself because the Sanctum was so focused on trying to recover the Karma it had lost in this 714th Cycle that they had given a path to improvement to all of their branches.
This was to say that it was thanks to this that Sylas could accomplish everything from the 001 Sanctum rather than having to risk his life by teleporting directly to the Emperor Sanctum itself. It also made the Emperor Sanctum’s Karma more fluid, which made it easier to breach these new heights.
But it also meant something else…
While the Emperor Sanctum as a whole benefited…
The 001 Sanctum benefited the very most-even more than the main branch.
As such, the power Sylas was giving to his direct enemies was a mere fraction of what he was giving to his allies. Namely, the 001 Sanctum’s Scorpion Lineage.
And unfortunately for the Emperor Sanctum, there was no easy way for them to explain this.
That replied, this didn’t mean that the Emperor Sanctum had gained nothing. If there was a piece of the pie to be divided, the 001 Sanctum received 10% of it, while the Emperor Sanctum received 30%, and the rest of the branches received 60% divided amongst them all.
The trouble was that Sylas had concentrated so much of that 10% into the Scorpion Lineage itself, while the 30% the Emperor Sanctum received was divided between all of its various Clan Branches.
What Sylas didn’t know quite yet was that this would cause him a whole host of problems in the future. Suddenly, Keyesen’s 10% odds of reaching God Beast were substantially higher… But even if Sylas had known, he would have still chosen to do things like this.
He had enraged the Thryskai more than once. What fear did he need to have toward someone who had had to steal his Legendary Gene?
“It seems that I should call Gwenu and Khan back. It is no longer worth it for them to stay,” Gralith said calmly.
“Will this… be alright?” Ekear asked softly.
Gralith didn’t reply immediately, looking toward Sylas as the Aether around him calmed.
“Unlikely,” Gralith finally responded. He didn’t usually lie to his disciples, and as much faith as he had in Sylas, this was quite grim.
He didn’t need to know where the Karma had come from to know that it was bad news.
Even if the Clan or organization wasn’t enraged, the Thryskai certainly would be.
There were protections against stronger Races coming down to deal with weaker ones. After all, there was a reason the Demi-God Thryskai couldn’t force the Golden Grove too much even after coming down personally. Otherwise, why else would a C-tier organization like the Golden Grove still be on its feet? It was certainly not because of Sylas’ sharp tongue.
But those could only go so far.
The fact that a Demi-God could step into such a territory to begin with was technically not allowed. But it had been done. Just like it wasn’t allowed for Earth to be interfered with ahead of time, but that had certainly been done as well.
Their best bet was to hide in the vastness of space, but now with the beacon of Demi-Godhood hanging overhead, there was no escaping detection.
The worst part?
Soon enough, their Sector would evolve under the focused effort of the system, and then their Horizon, and then they would inevitably move up to the Demi-God level… At that point, what protections would there be remaining? The system would see them as equals. There wouldn’t be any more hand-holding left for them to take advantage of.
That was in a far-off, distant future, but Gralith wasn’t naive enough to believe that they would make it so long. The Thryskai wouldn’t be so passive, and right now… not only the Demi-God Thryskai Clans were being alerted… But the God Clans were almost certainly being alerted as well.
To say that what Sylas had done was insane was nothing short of an understatement. There was no way to describe this outside of suicide.
If Gralith didn’t know better, he would have thought that Sylas had lost his mind…
And the system only confirmed it.
[Heaven-Wide Announcement]
[A new Demi-God has been crowned. Welcome, Emperor Sanctum]
