Chapter 1866: Calculated Index (1)
Sylas’ hair slowly settled onto his shoulders after his aura calmed. He looked down at himself, and though they weren’t visible to the naked eye, he could feel the chains surrounding him. This wasn’t something good enough to fool the system, but it was good enough for the purposes Sylas needed it for.It was also quite the expensive treasure. But Sylas had the pocketbooks of a Legend to rely on. The expense wasn’t his own to care for.
“We can begin.” He said calmly.
Fanelei stood in a separate space on the outside. She had to oversee things personally so that this would be as private as it could get.
Honestly, she wasn’t really sure what Sylas wanted to hide so badly. The entire Mortal Realm knew by this point that his Rune Mastery was truly broken. How much more could there be?
“It starts with the raw power test.” Fanelei’s voice echoed through the room.
Sylas nodded and closed his eyes for a moment. He felt Aether shifting and Runes forming, the stainless steel growing slick with energy until a simple target formed before him.
It was illusory and only about an inch thick. But it was a circle with a diameter about half the height of Sylas’ body.
Sylas’ eyes opened and he suddenly punched out.
The illusory target shattered, its pieces crumbling like glass and falling to the ground. But then it slowly began to reform.
‘Interesting. It only resists just as much as it needed for whatever attack I thought to be enough to shatter it.’
The target wasn’t fragile. Far from it. It was specifically designed to break.
Fanelei frowned from her room. That was just a normal punch. What was Sylas doing?

Sylas nodded when he saw the notification. So it didn’t count his raw power at all. What was the limit to that?
Sylas threw another punch. But this time, a glow covered his arm, radiating plumes of emerald and gold.
His telekinesis.
After reaching Infinite Void Mastery, Sylas’ understanding of his own body was on an entirely different level. So, as one could imagine, he was infinitely closer to true Telekinetic Martial Arts.
But it was also because of this understanding that he felt so far away nonetheless. Or, rather, he understood why it was he had felt so far away before.
The limits of Telekinetic Martial Arts were far higher than he could have fathomed. It wasn’t just about pulling on individual muscle fibers or strengthening the resistance of bones. If one’s telekinesis was good enough, you could control the flow of your blood, increase the firing rate of neurons, or even begin affecting things on the scale of Genes and Gene Talents.
Gene Talents were something that Sylas eternally struggled with because they were the one thing you couldn’t just rely on intelligence alone to master. Even with his Skills, Sylas relied on his Comprehension to not have to spend any time mastering them individually. And now he had Seeing Weaver so he could break down Skills into their Runic Forms and comprehend them infinitely faster like this.
But with Gene Talents? You had to drill them like you would a muscle. If you weren’t used to using a Gene Talent, you could easily burn yourself out.
It was a fatigue of the body. So just like long-distance running, you had to continuously run miles in order to use a Gene Talent to its full capabilities.
However, Sylas realized after reaching Infinite Void Mastery that… even this wasn’t beyond the scope of Telekinetic Martial Arts. The value of Arcane Telekinesis was more than he had given it credit for, and he had certainly already given it a lot of credit.
BANG.
The target shattered once again.
[Calculated Index: 0]—
Sylas nodded once again. It didn’t seem to care about his telekinesis when it was applied to his muscle and bone. However… Sylas carried a Strength Gene in his hand. It was E-tier; however, it was unfortunately only of the Gold Grade.
The value of Genes truly began to hit a rocket ship just moving up a single Tier. Even Fanelei couldn’t easily procure a Legendary E-tier Gene. It would have taken her a few hours, time that Sylas didn’t want to waste.
So, he settled for this.
Fanelei was only growing more confused on the outside, but Sylas actually crushed the Gold Gene in his hand.
Her lip twitched. Was this little bastard just wasting her wealth?
She honestly didn’t care that much about an E-tier Gene, nor did she care much about the restriction treasure Sylas had used earlier, but no one liked to waste money for no reason.
However, her eyes went wide a moment later.
Sylas reformed the Gold Strength Gene in the blink of an eye.
“He… he…”
Fanelei felt herself getting sick.
Could she form a Gold Strength Gene of the E-tier? Maybe. But it would take years of study and dedication. No… years didn’t quite do it justice.
She would have a better shot at doing so with Wisdom because this was her highest stat, and the one she was the most familiar with.
If Sylas could already form a Gold Gene himself, considering how much of a rush he was in, he wouldn’t have even asked for it. Meaning… “He just learned how to do it…”
Fanelei bent forward, gasping for breath. In her daze, she watched as Sylas did the same for Constitution… and then for Dexterity… and then for Speed… She vomited.
The feeling was too overwhelming to suppress. The contents of her stomach just spilled and spilled, coming out in a torrential flood.
By the time she was finished, she had no choice but to use a large amount of strength to erase the evidence, but her face remained pale.
She only just managed to recover enough to look up… only to find Sylas doing the very same punch he had before, still coated in emerald and gold. Yet, this time… [Calculated Index: 295,050]—
