Getting a Sugar Mommy in Cultivation World!! - Chapter 789 - 789: Caught?

“A bust?” Standing in a dark research lab, Helena muttered to herself, watching one of the scouting equipments turning into sparks.
But soon a smirk graced her lips. “Is this where you are hiding?” In front of her, a huge screen showed a fading red dot on a certain section of the forest.
“Should I draw them out?” She mused out loud before shaking her head. “Better not anger the priestess again.”
Helena merely tapped on the mechanical equipment and the transparent screens before her a couple of times before turning away. “This should be enough…”
On the screen behind her, a message appeared.

“Who knows if her highness is secretly watching me…” Helena whispered to herself in a voice so low that it did not even reach the walls of the room.
At the same time, all the remaining 70 forces of the army received the location of the intruders on their devices.
They all halted in their random pursuit and changed their directions before flashing away.

Despite Helena’s initial belief, the priestess didn’t have the time to monitor her.
She was standing in a dark room, staring at the thick pool of blood gathered right before her.
The air was filled with a metallic scent so thick that even red wisps could be seen floating in the room.
“Just a little more…” The priestess whispered to herself as something shimmered deep in the center of the pool.
The radiance barely reached the surface, but it was enough to draw a reaction from the peerless woman like the saintess.
“I should deal with the pests before moving towards the next phase of the plan.” With a last glance towards the puddle of blood, the priestess walked out of the room.
The place she stood looked like the most haunting dungeon. The dreadful wails of unknown beings echoed within the walls one could not even see, and the chilling air made even the bones crackle.
The priestess kept walking until she saw the guards at the front and spoke as she walked past them.
“Bring the prisoner to the throne room; it’s time I deal with the lost princess.”

In the conspicuous corner of the Evergreen forest of the elven empire stood tall mountains that even reached the heavens, disappearing into the thick clouds.
On one of the cliffs, like many others, there were several flat surfaces leading to a cave hidden in inconspicuous locations.
But this one was different; this one had a man standing before him.
Dressed in his dark robes that fluttered uncaringly in the chilling winds of the peak as if the wind could not shake them and the mountains could not crush their bearer.
This man, with his otherworldly appearance and the aura of someone who had transcended all sorts of limits and boundaries of humanity, was none other than Noah.
Standing alone on the edge of the tallest peak, he gazed down at the elven empire in the distance.
Within his deep eyes, several emotions swirled on the surface before disappearing.
“Things are proceeding faster than I had hoped for.” Noah whispered to himself, his eyes turned to a small array disc in his hands. “I have to pick up my pace to keep up with things as well.”
Crush!
Fragments of the plate drifted in the air as Noah disappeared from the spot, leaving his voice lingering for a while.
“My next actions will define what happens to Elysia, and I will bet my life on it to make sure she comes out alive…”
While Noah went on to handle tasks of his own, things in the forest had turned chaotic. Wuhan’s group had encountered an attack from the nearest squads while they were in the middle of moving through the forest.
Woosh!
“What are they doing?” One of the soldiers muttered, watching the fifteen cultists running around them without attacking.
“They are waiting for the others to arrive!” The captain realized instantly what was happening and alerted the rest. “Our location has been exposed; we have to deal with them before the rest of them arrive.”
His body moved faster than words could leave his mouth.
Woosh!
With a sword in his hands, Captain Black Sword appeared before the closest cultist and slashed down his head before the man could even react.
“Do it fast, we have to run!” Wuhan spoke with a tone of urgency. He could already pick up faint qi signatures entering the range of his soul sense.
Swoosh!
Without a word, the captain’s figure disappeared from the sight of the cultist.
“Selfless sword—Mindless frenzy…” They all heard a whisper in their ears before the entire area was dyed in the blood.
Splash!
A single slash, and fifteen Core Formation Realm cultivators were lying flat on the cold earth surface.
Several slashed wounds could be seen on their bodies, and not a single one had a breath left in them.
With a flick of his wrist, Wuhan incinerated the bodies, leaving no trace, before commanding, “Let’s go!”
Everyone suddenly changed direction under his lead and ran once more. Moments later, another group of cultists arrived from the opposite direction they ran in.
The leader did not even glance at the traces left on the ground and brought out the device from her pocket before speaking in a pitched voice, “They are straight ahead; signal everyone to intercept them. They should be tired enough by now.”
The decisive coldness in the voice of the woman did not affect anyone from her group, as if they were used to it. They silently followed her orders before moving behind her to chase Wuhan’s group.
They kept running for a few more hours before the leader of the squad stopped abruptly. She silently glanced ahead.
Before them stood the very people they had been chasing all this time.
Standing in the middle, surrounded by his guards, was the emperor of the Feng Empire. Surrounded by the rest of the forces deployed by the Red Dawn Cult, their bodies surged with power.
There was no fear in their eyes, only steel determination!
“Surrender, you are surrounded.” One of the leaders stepped forward and warned Wuhan’s group. “If you do not come with us on your own, we will take you, alive or—”
