Getting a Sugar Mommy in Cultivation World!! - Chapter 795 - 795: The Slug Moves

“A… phoenix?” Helena whispered in shock as the flames from Wuhan’s body expanded in all directions. The creatures she had thrown forward to tackle Wuhan backed away in fear.
But Helena did not stay shocked for too long; she recovered very soon and commanded the beasts once more, “I thought the bloodline of the Feng Empire was that of the vermilion bird.”
Helena danced her fingers in the air and spoke as if she was talking to herself, “Did his bloodline go through an upgrade? Did he consume some sort of divine herb?”
Several thoughts flashed through her mind, but in the end she shrugged them off. “It does not matter if you are a firebird or a phoenix. Let me test how hot your flames are.”
The two abominations of nature moved once more, but this time they were not alone. The worm on Helena’s shoulders also flew forward, leaving a trail of sticky liquid on her dress, which the female general burned with a wave of her hand.
Wuhan focused his attention on the slug. It had been giving him an odd feeling from the start. And true to his instinct, the spirit beast enlarged in the middle of the air and expanded like an inflatable balloon.
Its figure grew so large that it even surpassed the two other spirit beasts on the side. Yet despite its mass, the slug did not sink an inch down in the air. It hovered without any wings.
“Do you think you will be able to deal with them now?” Helena raised her chin proudly. The Centipeagle and the frog charged their techniques once more. Wuhan tore his eyes away from the ugly slug and brought his sword out.
Humm!
His sword radiated with the profound heat of the fire laws. The flames burst out of the hilt and rushed past the tip, extending the blade’s length.
“Phoenix Charge.” As he uttered those words, the figure of the phoenix merged with the sword. The beak of the bird aligned with the tip, ready to tear its enemies apart. With a casual swing of his sword, the mythical creature charged from his sword directly at the incoming attack.
Wuhan’s phoenix, a blazing storm of crimson and gold, tore through the sky, its fiery wings swallowing the centipeagle’s glowing blades and the frog’s molten lava orb like they were nothing.
The air crackled, heat rippling as the attacks vanished into faint wisps of steam. The phoenix’s beak snapped shut, its eyes blazing with fury as it surged toward the two beasts, ready to rip them apart.
But then, out of nowhere, the slug moved. That disgusting, slimy creature ballooned even larger, darting forward with speed that didn’t match its bloated, oozing body. It threw itself between the centipeagle and frog, a writhing wall of flesh that met the phoenix head-on.
A massive explosion lit up the sky, flames roaring like a wildfire, shaking the clouds and sending a scorching shockwave across the battlefield below.
When the fire cleared, there was no dust, just the stench of burnt slime hanging heavy in the air.
The slug hovered there, its massive body scarred with black burns, slimy innards exposed and glistening.
But as Wuhan watched, those wounds started to close. The charred flesh wriggled, sealing itself shut, and within seconds, the spirit beast was whole again, its grotesque form pulsing as if it hadn’t just taken a direct hit from a divine phoenix.
Helena smirked, her jade-green eye gleaming with smug pride. “Think my pets go down that easy?” she taunted, her voice sharp and confident. The slug gurgled, sliding back to her side, unharmed.
The centipeagle and the frog with the butterfly wings, shaken but still kicking, flared their qi brighter, preparing a very new attack. “You’re tough, Emperor, but you’re not the only one with surprises.”
This time, the voice came not from Helena but from the disturbing slug. The voice was just as creepy as its appearance.
Nothing could have prepared Wuhan for such a voice in his life. But it was not surprising for a beast that had reached Rank 6 to speak.
“How could there be a Rank 6 beast here…” Wuhan frowned as he glanced at the woman in control of the beasts.
Helena maintained her indifferent expression as she spoke, “As I said, the questions come after you manage to defeat my cute little creations.”
Clank!
The beasts before her suddenly charged at Wuhan, narrowing the distance. Leading the attack was the slug, followed by the eagle. The centipede head of the eagle stretched out like it was being pulled out from within the body of the eagle.
The blades around its body stretched before bending inwardly; the metal-devouring centipede was known for its ability to devour any metal, and it was also quite famous for its body that was made from metal it had devoured itself.
Once all the blades that appeared to be legs of the centipede were pulled in, with a clicking sound, another set of blades appeared.
These ones looked different, not only in appearance but also in position. The blades were dark in color with green sparks tinging at the tip of the blade. They were positioned like the blades of a sickle.
At the front, the slug twisted its massive body in the sky, making the air shift. Its head raised, and a gurgling sound echoed inside of it.
On guard, Wuhan flew back to create a bit of distance, taking advantage of his faster speed.
“You cannot run away, Emperor.” The sound of the slug echoed in his ears as it launched its first attack.
The slimy fluid on the slug suddenly slipped off its body. Wuhan noticed its tiny mouth parting slightly to ooze the same liquid. Yet even after separating from its body, the liquid never fell down.
Gravity seemed to be ineffective on this thing, as the blobs of pale white liquid flew along with the slug.
The Centipeagle flew past the slug and attacked first. Appearing before Wuhan, it flung its neck backward before snapping it forward, like a whip!
