Getting a Sugar Mommy in Cultivation World!! - Chapter 818 - 818: The Final Judgement

“Are you planning to intervene?” was the question Xin Yan asked him when he was about to leave to witness the fight of Former Empress and the current Emperor.
“Nah.” Noah looked over his shoulder and shook his head with a smirk. “After all, this is a family matter, which even the best friends have no right to intervene in. So, no matter the outcome, I will welcome it with open arms.”
“Even if it breaks your heart?”
This time Noah had no response; he lowered his head and said the final words before disappearing.
“…even if I have to rip it out.”
___
“Oh, you are alive.”
Just as Noah was about to check on two bodies lying on the ground before him. One of them suddenly coughed up a mouthful of dirt and blood.
Feng Niu raised herself through sheer effort, greeting through the pain of the burns. The flames were still gnawing at her flesh little by little.
She turned around and lay flat on her back before meeting Noah’s gaze. She asked him coldly, “are you going to finish me off?”
“Hmm? Why would I do that?” Noah stared at her for a second before looking away. The indifference in his eyes sent shivers down her soul.
‘What is this feeling of being seen through? Just who is this man? Will I be able to fight him even if I recover my power to its peak?’
Several questions appeared in her mind, but she had answers to none.
Noah ignored her gaze, and his eyes landed on Wuhan. “How long are you going to lie like that? Wake up.”
He snapped and sent a jolt of electricity directly into his heart.
Thump!
Ba-dump!
“Haaa-uff!” Wuhan gasped for breath as he woke up. His eyes were wide with shock and disbelief. “Almost crossed over the yellow river there.”
Wuhan looked around and saw nothing but destruction. His shoulder was missing, and everything was burning, even water.
But the woman he had intended to kill was somehow still alive.
His eyes locked with his mother’s; they stared at each other in silence, neither backing down.
“Looks like you both have a lot to say to each other.” Noah watched their interaction and smiled faintly. “Well, I have to deal with the mess you two made, so I should make it so only words are used.”
“What do you mean—” Wuhan never got to finish his sentence as Noah was already rising up in the air.
Spreading his arms, he looked down at the two of them and smirked.
“Tier 9 Magic: [Absolute Zero]”
‘What did he say? Why could I not hear his words?’ Feng Niu started thinking, but her thoughts froze when a huge magic circle appeared on the surface of the ocean, covering every part burning with flames or being devoured by the darkness.
Woosh!
Before she could understand what this array formation, like a circle, really was, everything started turning to ice.
The sea, the broken land, her power of darkness, and even the flames of the immortal phoenix. Everything was frozen.
“Wait…” Wuhan gasped as he saw the layer of ice drawing closer to them with no intention of slowing down.
“Nope.” Noah just smirked and watched his friend being engulfed in the ice with only his head freed. Feng Niu was no different; she could only watch helplessly as the ice consumed her.
But in a way she also did not want to stop Noah. After all, his power had managed to stop Wuhan’s flames from spreading.
“Since you two can no longer fight, it’s best to wait till you recover.” Noah waved his hands and teleported away, leaving them alone and frozen.
Wooshh!
“Achooo!”
***
“How did it go?” Seeing Noah appearing beside her, Xin Yan sat up straight. She was sitting inside one of the simple rooms created for temporary accommodation.
“They are alive. Settling their difference, I hope.” He said, noticing the faint tension in her shoulders easing up hearing the news. Noah was not the only friend Wuhan had; even Xin Yan treated him the same in her own way.
***
“Huh?! You have the gall to say that everything you did was for my own good? Do you want me to kill you?”
“Why don’t you get out of the ice first and then talk? I see you are still as useless as ever.”
“Says the woman who could not block an attack from me and almost died.”
Wuhan and Feng Niu continued to spit venom on each other for a while, trying their best to get out of their frozen state.
But no matter how hard they tried, their efforts were useless. Not only were their qi reserves exhausted, but even their bodies were about to give up.
“…”
Soon they both turned silent and looked away, refusing to talk to each other until…
“I am not some weak woman who will justify my loss saying that I did not have my peak power, so I lost to you. So go ahead and fulfill your lifelong wish to kill me.”
Stunned, Wuhan looked at her silently. A flicker of something unknown flashed within his eyes. ‘
“I have nothing to say to you. You should be able to use some of your power through your mouth; go ahead.”
Seeing his silence, she continued to entice him.
“Where is the satisfaction in that?” After a moment of silence, he finally opened his mouth. I want to slowly kill you with my own hands as life slips out of your eyes. The same way you killed my woman.”
“Heh.” Feng Niu snorted coldly, “I hope you are not really as naive after all these years as you are letting on to be.”
“That bitch was nothing but a leech who wanted to use the fame of the royal family to pave her way into the capital city. Did you think I wouldn’t investigate someone who entered your life, even by accident?”
Feng Niu spoke about Wuhan’s past as if she had saved him from an impending doom.
With his messy hair covering Wuhan’s haggard face, she could no longer see what kind of face he was making.
“You were the sheltered boy who believed the whole world to be as white and black. That all the people who supported you and even your family were all good people.”
“You killed my father and my brother…” this time his voice was weaker than before.
“They were using you. Those bitches even dared to poison you in secret even when you declared that you had no intention of claiming the throne for yourself.”
“Fortunately I was there to catch that thief maid on time and prevented the worst from happening.” Feng Niu’s eyes were burning with fury and sadness as she uttered each word.
“When I raised the issue with your bastard father of yours, he dismissed it with a simple warning to the rest.”
“So, I realized that playing house was just my way of keeping you away from the darkness I had been exposed to all my life, but if I had to keep you safe, I had to take things into my own hands.”
Wuhan finally raised his head and revealed his dull eyes to Feng Niu, making her voice waver for the first time.
“I—I killed anyone who dared to harm you or use your kindness for their benefit. Including that woman who never loved you.”
Wuhan sneered in disdain, “What do you know about love?”
“Indeed, years after I sealed you, I realized that some of the things you did had to be done, but do you think I was angry because of that?”
“You have been using the lives of the commoners in the empire to get stronger. You enslaved the sects who dared to defy your rule. The whole empire was living in fear and despair.”
“The woman you killed showed me your true colors. You say she used me to empower her own agenda, but do you know why I truly hate you?”
“It’s because you never gave me the chance to judge that for myself. You have been controlling my life like I was some helpless puppy who always needed saving.”
Feng Niu was silenced for the first time. This was the first time Wuhan had spilled everything he had buried deep within his heart before her.
“I…” She opened her mouth to say something, but nothing came to mind.
“There is nothing you can do or say to make up for what you did to me or the people of this empire.”
Saying that Wuhan looked away as if no longer wishing to look at her face.
And thus the never-yielding former Empress finally appeared as if she had lost for the first time.
Biting her lips, she lowered her head; blood dripped from her mouth, staining the ground below.
Crack!
Kachinnnthssss!
All of a sudden the ice shattered into fragments that drifted away into the air, freeing the two. But even after being freed, none of them had the will or the strength to move an inch.
Noah appeared beside them once more and asked, “What do you plan to do to her?”
Wuhan raised his head tiredly and shook with disinterest. “Do whatever you want with her. I no longer care. As long as she does not pose any harm to my empire or humanity, I will not bother with it.”
Feng Niu trembled hearing the indifference in his tone. She did not even open her mouth to object to his judgment and just listened in silence.
“Very well.” Noah turned to the woman and raised his right hand, pointing at her. A golden glow slithered on it, ready to be unleashed. “Now then, let’s do this…”
