Chapter 775: Chapter 376: Five-Star Task! (Two in One)_1
In the third region of the World of Heavenly Element, the towns were quite different from those in the previous two. These towns lacked perimeter walls; instead, they were composed of structures resembling yurts. Daily life unfolded within these yurt-like buildings.
The advanced challenge for the Legendary Trial, which Chen Mo had previously received, required him to accept and complete a five-star task from the Adventurer’s Tavern in the third region. Chen Mo had come here specifically for this purpose.
Of course, he also hoped to find a quest that rewarded him with materials for creating a Bug Clan’s Queen. Having acquired the Holy Spring and Regeneration Water, he now needed two more key items: the Bug Clan’s Queen’s Blood Essence and the God-Made Essence. Evia was already a special kind of Ghost Bug Clan’s Queen, so her blood essence was clearly useless. Chen Mo needed to find the blood essence of another Bug Clan’s Queen.
Chen Mo still didn’t know how to obtain it. He entered the town first, planning to ask for information about acquiring it at the Adventurer’s Tavern.
Through his Eye of Origin, Chen Mo quickly spotted the Adventurer’s Tavern. The scene within was bustling.
Dim light filtered into the spacious hall, illuminating the tavern’s myriad decorations. An array of exotic weapons, animal pelts, tapestries depicting treasure maps, and strange artifacts brought by adventurers were all dazzling to behold.
Long wooden tables were filled with adventurers from all over the world, some roaring loudly about their victories, others whispering about mysterious rumors.
In a corner of the tavern, a dwarf, half-clad in chainmail, was in a mug-lifting contest with a robe-wearing Mage, both their faces beaming with excitement and friendly smiles.
Behind the bar, a burly bartender skillfully poured various exotic wines. Bottles and jars danced in his hands as if in a magical performance.
On a nearby wall hung a large mission bulletin board. It was covered with various commissioned tasks, from subduing demonic beasts to finding treasures, all drawing the adventurers’ gazes.
In the center of the tavern stood a wide stage where a bard was playing a delightful melody, captivating the onlookers.
Before the stage, some warriors were sparring, showcasing their sword skills. The clash of metal echoed through the tavern, eliciting cheers and applause.
The entire Adventurer’s Tavern buzzed with energy and excitement. Adventurers of all professions were exchanging information, honing their skills, and sharing their stories.
The lively atmosphere felt like a surging wave of energy, allowing everyone to sense the charm and infinite possibilities of the adventurer’s world.
Seeing this scene, Chen Mo couldn’t help but feel a flicker of amusement. Traversing the world as a sole adventurer sure is quite interesting.
After carefully scanning the numerous tasks on the bulletin board, Chen Mo found one with the reward he wanted. He immediately used Divine Flicker to arrive before the Adventurer’s Tavern.
His arrival went largely unnoticed by the tavern patrons. After all, with so many people coming and going from the Adventurer’s Tavern daily, no one paid much mind to who next entered. They simply continued their conversations.
He was rather pleased to be unnoticed. He walked straight to the Adventurer’s Tavern’s bartender and asked, “How do I accept the tasks here?”
“What’s your Adventurer Level?”
The bartender’s question made Chen Mo pause. “I don’t have an Adventurer Level,” he replied.
Just then, a beautiful, red-haired woman with pointed ears, who was behind the bar, lightly patted the bartender. “This gentleman is a Destined One. There’s no need to check his Adventurer Level. I’ll assist him; you can attend to other matters.”
“Yes, Boss.” The bartender bowed and quickly went to attend to other tasks.
The red-haired woman turned to Chen Mo. Her dark purple lips—whether their color was natural or due to thick lipstick—parted slightly. “Honorable Destined One, how may I assist you?” she asked.
“I just want to accept one of the tasks from your bulletin board.”
“Not a problem. Normally, we would first check your Adventurer Level before issuing tasks that match your strength. But since you are a Destined One, your strength cannot be measured by the standards of us original inhabitants of the World of Heavenly Element. Simply tell me which tasks you wish to undertake. However, please assess your capabilities carefully, as high star-level tasks are extremely difficult.”
“If it’s a five-star task, what level of difficulty should I expect?”
“For a five-star task, an original inhabitant like us would likely need around 500,000 Divine Power to complete it. However, your Divine Element is different from ours; it possesses unique growth attributes. Additionally, you have multiple abilities that can bridge disparities in Divine Power. Therefore, it’s difficult for me to estimate the strength you’d require. You’ll have to gauge that for yourself.”
“I see. In that case, I’d like to accept that five-star task—the ’Corpse Search in the Grave of Gods’ quest.”
“Oh? That quest? Honorable Destined One, the Grave of Gods is not a place to be taken lightly. It’s filled with many illusion beasts possessing immense destructive power. One careless misstep could mean death. You should know, the Grave of Gods is so named because it is said that not even Gods can survive within it.”
