Chapter 1558: Information gathering!

I have decided to come outside. Since it’s night time. I doubt the shop would be open. But before going outside, I changed my clothes. So that no one could recognise me.

I appeared outside in the small street between the shops. The system gave me no warning. Feeling confident, I exited the street and came to the main path where the shops were running on both sides.
As I started walking I found that all the shops were closed. None of them were open. I think it has to do with me. Then I collected my thoughts before going towards the two airships.
When I got closer. I saw wizards wearing purple armour. They are guarding both the airships. It’s not easy to walk past them.
I hid from their sight. None can sense my presence. So I think I can take the risk. I begin pondering.

Just at this moment, I noticed someone else arrived. I used the system probe function to find out his strength. The other person turned out to be their Captain.
Because his level-9 strength is the strongest among them.
“Two people stay behind. The rest of you follow me to look for the intruder,” The old man said.
Hearing that the purple armoured wizards nodded. Except for the two wizards, the rest of them left with the Captain. Unknownst to them, the intruder has seen all of it.

He spat blood. The wizard was terrified. He is a level-7 Wizard better than locals. He got a position in one of the guard teams.
He didn’t expect such a day to come. His life is going to end now.
“If you answer my question, your death won’t be painful,” I said.
Hearing that wizard came back to his senses and looked at the person in front of him. He couldn’t even sense another person’s aura.
“I’ll answer,” He replied, feeling afraid of death.
Hearing that I smiled and started asking the questions. The questions related to the border pass. Then the basic knowledge of the Disordered Land.
Which factions were winning and which ones were losing. The purple armour wizard was terrified in his heart. He didn’t hide anything.
About 20 minutes later,
I snapped his neck and destroyed the mana core. The guy’s life ended on the spot. Then I thought of disposing of the body. The Core Eating Artifact comes to my mind.
I immediately brought the Artifact outside from the system space. Then I input the mana into the mirror before showing the face of the mirror to the corpse.

The mirror glass glows before dark red tentacles appear out of the mirror and drag the corpse back into the mirror.
The next second, the mirror went silent. I immediately put the mirror back into the system space. That was quick. Since I have the Artifact with me. I don’t have a problem with the corpse again.

Then I appeared outside and entered the airship to hide. I think it won’t be long before they find out that someone was missing among the purple armoured wizards.
After entering inside, I went to the cabin. The cabin’s space was filled with the containers. But I appeared inside the Gregor Mansion again.
Then I went to the bed to lay down.
A few minutes later,
While looking at the ceiling, I started rethinking about the information I got from the purple armoured wizard.
Fortunately, I got the valuable information from the purple armoured guard. He told me about some basic situations. Since he was just a guard working in the Merchant Association.
He didn’t know important information. But I was able to confirm that two airships were going to cross the border the next morning.
Then they will head to the headquarters of the Merchant Association inside the Disordered Land. So my entry to the Disordered Land was cleared.

I was thinking about how to execute the plan. Through the wizard families, I will find out the dark faction’ plans and foil them one by one.
As long as the White Faction was winning I can be called back any time. Then I collected my thoughts and slept.

The old man is searching outside the Merchant Association. The locals and the stall owners never saw any suspicious person.
The travelers are behaving themselves. Apart from the Merchant Association’s guards. The stall owners had their own staff working as a guard.
