I was waiting for someone to appear. So that I can hear their conversation. But I doubt that would happen.
If I step outside there are good chances for me to encounter the Supreme Wizards or the Magic Lords.
Outside,
Two Supreme Wizards of the Merchant Association were on each Airship. They joined from the border pass.
They will return on the same airships after delivering the goods. Right now, two Supreme wizards were vigilant.
They have received news that a spy had raided the Merchant Association last night. But he didn’t steal anything.
But the Wizard Families were afraid that some secret information might have leaked. So they were given orders to find out the intruders.
The 2 Supreme Wizards knew that the intruder might have crossed the border area. They can only go back to the Head Quarters.
Right now their top priority is to deliver the goods safely. They ignored the topic of the intruder.
Time passed,
The airships fly over several territories. There are smokes and fires rising from the ground in each territory.
It shows that a fight has been taking place. The two airships have merchant flags flying on the top of the airships.
The airship flags are easily recognised by every faction. So no one dares to offend them. Both the Black and White Faction people recognised the flag.
So on the way they face no hurdles.
A two days later,
The airships have reached the half way mark. If they continue with the same speed, they will soon reach the destination.
Both the Supremes were relaxed and enjoying the services. Maybe it’s because of the belief that no one would target the Merchant Association.
Boom!
Suddenly, out of nowhere a large fire ball bigger than the size of an airship is falling from the sky.
The rise in temperature immediately alerted others. Both the airships are traveling next to each other.
Swoosh!
The 2 Supremes appeared in the sky. They appeared to be middle aged men. But their real age must be higher.
The two men looked at the fire ball in the sky. They exchanged looks. An unknown fear can be seen in their eyes.
They couldn’t see anyone near. It’s a long range spell attack. This level of long range fire spell attack is impossible for the Supreme Wizard.
“Block it!”
The Two Supreme Wizards shouted in union. The next second, they casted the magic spell.
A huge green magic circle appears horizontally in the sky.
Right next, a red colored magic circle of similar size appeared. Both the magic circles are ready to block the falling fire ball.
The staff and servants on both the airships are terrified. The captains of both the airships had never seen such an attack before.
That too in this close range. If this attack fails on them, then not only their airships will be destroyed. But the terrain would be overturned.
The living things in this terrain would die for sure.
Boom!
In a flash, the fire ball lands on the two magic circles. Still the fire ball size is bigger than them.
An explosion occurs the next second. The Two Supreme are looking towards the magic circles in the sky with a grave expression.
Under their shock filled gazes. The two magic circles cracked. The crack started to spread before the two magic circles broke completely.
Boom!
A deafening noise sounded again. The two magic circles were destroyed by the fire balls. The fire ball continues falling down from the sky.
Swoosh!
In a flash, the fire ball was about to land on them. The size of the fire ball is so huge. The body of the two supreme and the two airships behind them looked so small.
“It’s over,” One of the Supremes uttered.
He could see that the fire ball was not an ordinary fire ball. The fire rule was all over it. Unless one could destroy the fire rule.
It’s impossible to destroy the fire ball.
The staff and other people were terrified. They could feel their clothes and skin were burning. Most of them were already down on the ground.
Just before the fire ball could completely destroy them. It vanishes the next second.
The two Supreme were bewildered. They couldn’t fathom what’s going on here. A few seconds ago they were ready to die.
But the fire ball has disappeared right now.
“Two friends. Don’t worry, I didn’t see it’s the airships from the Merchant Association. You guys can resume the journey.”
A deep male voice sounded from the distance.
“Thank you for the mercy senior!”
The two Supreme Wizards said it in unison. The voice just now definitely belongs to the Magic Lord.
They were shocked to the core. The next second, they appeared back on the airships. They ordered the pilot to immediately leave the place.
It’s hard to see a Magic Lord outside their territory. Here, someone used a fire ball spell on them. The 2 Supremes don’t know whether it was a coincidence or not.
It’s possible that the fire ball was aimed at them to find out whether any Magic Lords are hidden inside the airships.
After thinking about it they don’t want to stay in this place anymore.
Short afterwards,
The two airships left the place. They are going towards the destination at full speed.
Inside the Gregor Mansion, I was confused. The system warned me of immediate danger. Now the threat is gone.
I wiped out cold sweat beads from my forehead. I was confident that no one would attack the Merchant Association.
It seems I was over confident. There are people who might want to test the Merchant Association. I should be careful in the future.
I hope it’s nothing to do with yesterday’s intrusion. Then I went to the bed to lie down.
Outside,
On top of the mountain, a middle aged man dressed in red clothes smiled. He was the one who cast the fire ball spell earlier.
“So it’s true that a spy had entered the Merchant Association. Two Supremes were sent to guard the airships,” After muttering to himself. The person disappeared from the spot.
