Chapter 1628: Making a move!

After having the call with Lord Charlotte, I relaxed a lot. Then, I ordered another cup of coffee.
Having no one by my side, I relaxed even more and started enjoying the coffee.
A few minutes later, I walked out of the shop after paying the bill. I turned to my left and right. The City Guard was nowhere to be seen.
A hint of relief flashed in my eyes. Then, I started walking on foot. I was going to find another hotel to stay in, but before that, I was going to change my clothes.
Soon, I found a tailor shop. It appeared to be old but not fancy. Yet, I decided to take a look. I walked into the shop and saw two middle-aged men and an old man with a white beard.
All of them were wearing fine suits. The old man saw me and walked up to me.
“Young man, who are you?” he asked.
The old man saw through the strength of the young man. He heard that many outsiders were coming for the auction, so he doubted the young man would be a guest as well.
“Hi. Sir, I’m here to participate in the auction. So I need a good suit for that. I would like to wear an overcoat as well,” I said to the old man.
The old man was not surprised. The two middle-aged men were tailoring clothes.
They glanced at me before continuing with their work.
The old man said, “It can be done. But I have to take some measurements first.”
I agreed to that. Then, the old man took a piece of chalk and a tape. He started taking measurements of my physique.
The process went on for an hour.
“You select the cloth and color now,” the old man said.
I selected a cloth type and navy blue color, choosing the same color for the overcoat.
“Young man, you can come back tomorrow evening. Everything will be ready,” the old man said.
“How much does it cost?” I asked.
“It’s 10 Top-grade mana stones,” the old man said.
Hearing that, I agreed. Then I left the shop and started looking for a hotel.
Soon, I found a small inn. It was an old, rundown inn located closer to the outer ring.
If not for my small chat with the owner, I wouldn’t have found it. The inn owner lives in the outer ring, and the customers are from the outer ring.
This small inn has ten rooms, but five of them are occupied. I paid the amount in mid-grade mana stones for three days.
The inn owner was happy.
He didn’t even ask unnecessary questions regarding my background.
I was still wearing the mask, but he didn’t ask about it.
I understood he was in desperate need of the mana stones. After getting the keys from him, I went to the room on the second floor.
The second floor had five rooms. I got the key for the first room there. Then, I used the key to enter.
I walked into the room. I saw that the room was compact with a single window and an attached bathroom.
There was no balcony but the large single window was enough for me.
Because I was going to sleep inside the Gregor Mansion. I used the system function to check the room.
I found no problem. Then, I appeared inside the Gregor Mansion to rest.

Meanwhile
The Star Hotel Manager was waiting for nightfall. Ever since he heard that the Young Master was coming here with the Elder, he had been restless.
The admin staff members were all curious. The Manager then told them the news.
The staff members were shocked in return.
Those clueless staff members thought that Young Master Hale was coming for the auction. Only the admin staff member was worried.
He knew that the Manager had been keeping an eye on big figures, including the middle-aged man from the Black Magic Tower.
It’s one of the powerful magic towers of the Mage Union. He was afraid that something bad was going to happen during the auction.
Unfortunately, the admin staff member could only keep it to himself.
The Manager then called City Lord Dorian Graves to inquire about the list. The City Lord assured him that the list would be ready shortly.
The Manager heaved a sigh of relief.
Time passed.
The Manager received the name list an hour later. He immediately checked the names of those who had booked there.
There was vague information provided under the name list. To be honest, it was not great work. The guards had only pointed out what they had heard.
As time passed, he went through more information. Then he saw the information about the masked man and the two Supreme Wizards.
After reading the information, the Manager sighed.
“Old Wizard family connected to Mistfall City. No wonder it’s hard to find out their details,” the Manager thought.
The City Guard had falsified the information and added Mistfall City into it because it was the only one he overheard.
The Manager didn’t find anything wrong because he knew it was normal for wizard
families to migrate from one place to another for survival.
He thought the masked man’s family must be from some other country and could have returned to their Ancestor’s Mistfall City.
So, he was glad that he got this information because the Young Master was interested in the masked man’s identity.
Then he continued to go through other information.
Time passed by.
That evening, a mid-sized aircraft reached Falling Star City. City Lord Dorian had already informed the guards.
So, none of them stopped the medium-sized white aircraft. It flew over the city. In the blink of an eye, it reached the City Lord’s building.
There was vacant land behind the building. The white aircraft touched down on the ground there. The public was not allowed here.
Only the city guards were patrolling the place. They didn’t stop the aircraft. They knew it was the guest of the City Lord, so they continued with their work.
