Gravity Mage with Level-Up System - Chapter 1630: Unranked Treasure

Chapter 1630: Unranked Treasure
Falling Star City
City Lord’s Office:
City Lord Dorian, Young Master Hale, Guardian Marvin, and the Star Hotel Manager were patiently waiting.
Elder Abel was reading the information regarding the masked man. After finishing, he frowned because he found that the information was incomplete.
He knew about the old fallen families. Many of them had disappeared due to the passage of time, while others had left their homes voluntarily.
So, he wouldn’t be surprised if they had Forbidden Wizards as backup.
The old man turned towards the manager and said, “Tell me about them. What do they look like?”
Hearing that, the Manager collected his thoughts and started describing the details.
A few minutes later, Elder Abel spread his mental power. It covered the city, allowing him to perceive every individual.
He was looking for the trio, but he only found solitary Supreme Wizards. He didn’t find anyone matching the description.
His mental power stretched towards the outer ring, but still, he found no one.
With a thought, the mental power disappeared. The old man turned his gaze towards the group.
“There is no one in the city with such a description. They could have left. Ask the city guards stationed at the gate,” he said to the City Lord.
City Lord Dorian broke out into a cold sweat. He immediately went to verify the details. He didn’t ask anyone else; instead, he flew to the city wall himself.
Looking at the City Lord’s actions, Young Master Hale was satisfied. He thought that the City Lord finally understood the importance of Elder Abel.
Elder Abel continued to wait, but Young Master Hale couldn’t contain his curiosity.
He asked, “Elder, do you think fallen wizard families can pose a threat?”
Hearing that, Marvin and the Manager raised their eyebrows. To be honest, they had the same question running through their minds.
Elder Abel wasn’t offended. He said, “Young Master, even if there is one Forbidden Wizard behind a fallen family, it is a threat to us.”
“Do you think a fight between Forbidden Wizards won’t attract the attention of the Mage Union?”
“Many smaller nations have perished in history due to fights between Forbidden Wizards.”
“The Mage Union has forbidden unauthorized fights. If a fight were to break out here, they would know.”
“Then, Young Master, your plan will be exposed,” Abel said in a serious tone.
Hearing that, Hale’s expression turned solemn. He had never witnessed a fight between Magic Lords, let alone Forbidden Wizards.
“Thanks for clarifying the doubt, Elder,” Hale said.
The Manager and Guardian Marvin echoed the sentiment. They didn’t want any fight to happen here because such large-scale destruction would alert the Mage Union.
If that happened, none of them would escape. Especially the Star Hotel Manager and Guardian Marvin, who would be disregarded as mere pawns.
It didn’t take long for City Lord Dorian to collect the information. He quickly returned to the City Lord’s building. When he walked in, Dorian noticed everyone was waiting for him.
Elder Abel asked, “Did you find anything?”
Hale turned towards City Lord Dorian.
City Lord Dorian nodded and said, “Elder, I did find some news.”
“The city guards saw two Supreme Wizards leaving the city. But they didn’t see the masked man,” he added.
Hale and the others were taken aback. They didn’t expect these people to leave.
Hale said, “It’s possible that the masked man left early. He wouldn’t move without the two Supreme Wizards.”
The Manager said, “Why did they leave without checking out of the hotel?”
“It’s a valid question. Maybe they had some emergency work,” Dorian suggested.
Manager Marvin didn’t respond, but he was glad that such powerful people had left. If they were to fight, he would likely have had to fight against those two Supreme Wizards.
While they were discussing the topic, Elder Abel listened. Since the targets had left, he decided to drop the subject.
He then said, “There seems to be no problem with the name lists. You can ask the auction house to release the tickets.”
Hearing that, Hale and the City Lord smiled. Since Elder Abel had given permission, they could proceed.
City Lord Dorian said, “I’ll go and inform the auction manager to release the tickets. The auction building has a minimum capacity.”
Hale thought of something and asked, “Elder, do we need to place the outer space items?”
Hearing that, Elder Abel remained quiet for a moment. He then took out an unknown object from his storage bracelet.
The old man placed a gray rock with white dots on the desk. The gray rock was only the size of a fist.
It might seem like an ordinary rock from the outside, but the Sutton Family had paid a huge price to get this rock from the Black Tower.
Young Master Hale was shocked. He knew Elder Abel was carrying the outer space rock, but he was seeing it for the first time.
Because the grade of the outer space rock was ranked ’unknown,’ if this item were exposed, even the Magic Towers would fight for it.
Gulp!
The Manager and City Lord Dorian gulped down their saliva. They had only heard of such treasures in the news, but they were seeing one for the first time.
Hale then asked, “Elder, do we really need to use this treasure? Why can’t we fool them?”
Elder Abel’s old eyes flickered.
“I brought this item as a precaution. If no Magic Lords or Forbidden Wizards come to the auction, then we can place a fake item up for bid.”
“But if a Magic Lord or Forbidden Wizard is present, we can’t fool their eyes. They will definitely create problems before your plan starts,” Abel explained.
Hearing that, Hale and the others understood. Without Elder Abel, they would have made mistakes.
City Lord Dorian was even more grateful that Elder Abel was present with them. They alone couldn’t face Magic Lords and Forbidden Wizards.
The Star Hotel Manager sighed in relief as well.
“Okay, you guys can start the rest of the work. Be careful. No information should be leaked,” Elder Abel told them.
